The way you teach the bible and breaks it down to where people can understand. Thank you for your teaching.

One of my favourite bible teachers made me realize the importance of reading all of God's word - the good, the bad and the controversial and asking the Holy Spirit to illuminate the word, and it has been a joy.

WHY SHOULD WE MARRY AND SLEEP WITH ONLY ONE PERSON?
“It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. (1 Corinthians 7:1-2 ESV)
Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food”-and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power. (1 Corinthians 6:13-14 ESV)
Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. (1 Corinthians 6:18-20 ESV)

So I'm in the story my relationship with my husband It tells me how I lived the last 8 years before he died and God took him home He was only 45 years old The pain that I suffered with someone that lied to me and told me that he loved me but there were signs that he wasn't in love with me I felt like he used things gifts as bait and it's so painful It breaks my heart and I'm so sorry for what I did It's the hardest lesson I've ever had to learn Thank you for preaching on this and I pray God can heal me and Lord close the door to anyone that tries to come into my life that doesn't love me and tries to pretend to be something that they're not very very very hard to separate and I didn't understand how broken he was but you've helped me to understand more just by listening to your message Thank you sir

Your husband died, and you’re still slandering him in a UA-cam comment section…. It makes me wonder if you ever said “thank you sir” to him like you did to Mark Driscoll here.
“Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:31-32)

@@brettske178I think this woman was trying to share something that was painful to her, when you respond like this, it makes ppl who seek help, comfort and help. Not seek it, because you've decided to become judge, jury and executioner... Whether or not someone's approach is what others may seem right or wrong. She should be able to express her gratitude for whatever this message shed light on for her.

@@brettske178Also her husband died, and you don't her or know anything about their life together, either. He may or may not have been the best person. Outsiders like ourselves can only speculate. This woman has to focus on her growth and her walk with Christ, and allow God to convict and teach her what areas she has to, and needs to change, in order not to make the same mistakes again going forward.

@@leannapeters-williams6460 do you have a Bible verse to share, or are you just sharing the word of Leanna today? I took offense to the original poster speaking ill of her dead husband (shaming).
“An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, but she who brings shame is like rottenness in his bones.” (Proverbs 12:4)

In spite of what happened, I still love listening to Mark Driscoll and look forward to meeting him in eternity.

From what I’ve gathered, people got hurt and triggered feeling like he was “bullying”. The man speaks on Gods word, the problem isn’t the Pastor, it’s the conviction in the sinners hearts not wanting to accept the truth. This man’s amazing and I wish we had more blunt leaders like him!

Wait did i miss it or did he say that jacob didn't sleep with Rachel till 7 years after his marriage to Leah? Genesis 29:28,29

    • @kaykay9458
      @kaykay9458 Рік тому

Yes he said it. After he married Leah he agreed to work another 14 years and he wasn’t given Rachel until half way through. That was in the sermon from the week prior.

Genuinely seeking the truth here, but looking at Nathans response to David shows G-ds allowance although it may not be his perfect will and has consequences

Pastor Maybe your research is limited in the subject but there was a time when Women had multiple husbands for the sake of reproduction. Yes it doesn't appear on the Bible but historically it can be traced.
