- This is my PSP 1000 Poké Ball Plus Joystick Mod.
Essentially I've taken a Poké Ball Plus Joystick and modified it into the PSP 1000, in order to gain better ergonomics and comfort over the PSPs original thumbstick.
All music used in this video is copyright-free.

It's about a new method of unbricking 2000 and 3000 models that released just yesterday and I'd love to see you make a video about it. Obviously it's cool if you're not interested but I thought it's a very cool, new PSP related thing that no one has made videos on so personally at least I'd love to see you cover it. It requires (temporary) hardware modding as well so I figured it does fit into the channel at least a little bit haha.

It's amazing to see that the community is still working on the PSP, so many years after it's.. well.. Essentially demise!
It's an idea I'm definitely interested in, however I honestly can't promise I'll cover it, or if I do, I couldn't be sure when I'll cover it.
I mostly just like to make random mods and things that pop into my head, whenever I get the time to.
Unique things as much as possible, but mostly just stuff that I find fun to figure out or make from scratch :)
I have a few ideas for future mods currently in the planning stage, but I'm always open to taking other suggestions on board anyway, so keep the ideas coming!

Alright, you've convinced me to do this mod. Not having to do a casemod is awesome!
There is still some case modification involved, including modifying some parts of the inside of the faceplate and the screen frame, however there are slightly less modifications required than the switch joycon stick requires.
The main difference is not having to bore out that kind of ugly hole for the thumbstick cap though!

A tutorial would be sick. I’ve recently found a renewed interest in my PSP and was looking to replay MGS Portable Ops and Peace Walker but the original analog stick is abysmal.

Are you planning on modding the psvita in anyway in the future? Psvita can play psp games perfectly so I think more people use it to play psp games than on the psp itself

Why don't you get the thumb grips for ps vita, I'm sure they would fit alot better and they are thinner

Off topic question: have you ever found a front housing panel for these that isn’t a two piece? I converted to an ips display on mine and can’t stand the edges on the aftermarket housings.

That's an underrated mod I was thinking of a upgrade for thumbstick but he added L3 input which is a big bonus 😆😆

Use ispyrol alcohol (sorry for bad spellings) as it cleans the dust inside it. I use this everytime my joystick drifts

What is the size (pitch) of the connector you used is it 0.5mm or 1.0mm ?

Ive checked all of your vids, why dont you add a second thumbstick to the psp, and have it be configured depending on the game like in gods eater you can use it for the camera
