I love to see young couples that have good sense...and are not spoiled . Getting in debt is a killer for a growing family and can cause marital strife. You have great values. Love you guys. I will give you my canner, but I live in Utah.
I don't understand why you think your home isn't cohesive. Every thing sits well together. My style is very eclectic, so I probably looked at it differently to you. As long as it makes you happy and is comfortable, that's what matters. I love the metal walls downstairs.
Thanks for inviting us into your home. I loved it. The back yard was beautiful with those trees. They was something special about each room you show us. Yes you will miss your old home but hope your new place feels like home to you after you get settled into it. Yiur a great decorator so I know you'll have fun fixing your new place up inside.
Your home doesn't seem that small to me, but I'm sure you know better than us. You have it decorated in an inviting, comfortable, warm home. You had several great ideas which I can use in mine. I live alone, I'm retired and I still haven't gotten everything out to decorate it. I've been here almost two years. Things have changed so much, I can't see me using half of the things I have stored. I love the blue colors in your home. Blue is so relaxing to me, whether it's "in style" or not. It look superb mixed with everything else in your home. I agree with you about area rugs. It's amazing how one thing can make such a change. Good luck in your new home. You'll have to give us a tour of it, after you get moved in and settled. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Linda, from Texas.
I find you so endearing...naturally sweet and kind. You’ve obviously worked very hard to make your home cozy and livable. Enjoying you from North Dakota. ❤️
My British in-laws would say, the wagon is a keepsake. You have a Kitchen Aid mixer. Have you seen the Amish Kitchen Aid? It has a crank on the back end. No electricity. There is a company that converts them.
Your house is truly a home...it's so welcoming and warm with so many personal touches! Your first home is so special...we were in ours for a decade and finally moved about a year ago. Even though I was excited to be moving to a much bigger home, I cried my eyes out leaving our first house because of how much we loved it.
really like the outside colors choices on your house and your backyard is beautiful, all that greenery and space.. love the "wedding vows" art work !! thanks for sharing
You live in such a beautiful, pastoral area, that the outside is usually reflective on the inside. Enjoyed the home tour. You've both put a lot of love and hard work into all that you've accomplished ❤ together. I can't wait for all the ways your family will make this new place, HOME!
Very sweet tour! Yes, 'heirloom' is right. :). Cool arched door to the bathroom. You're leaving a positive aura in this home for the next family. Good luck and God bless in your new home.
No. Houses are massive and square footage is way beyond the average of most countries no matter wealth or where they're located. It's a cultural thing mainly...
My husband and I built the house our babies grew up in (for nearly eight years) before he was transferred. The company sent a semi truck with a professional team of packers and within one afternoon our entire house went from normal to empty with everything we owned on the semi in boxes. We called it the Emergency C-Section because that’s what it felt like! I sobbed. Then realized...our house is just a big box and everything I cared for and loved was coming with me, memories and all. But now that our kids are grown and gone my husband and I still drive by that house and tear up thinking how sweet life was then and sometimes we didn’t appreciate it as we should have 💙 thank you for the tour! What a beautiful nest you made that house into!
One of my favourite things I love about youtube is I get to watch videos and learn about other people's lifestyles. I'll honestly admit I had many preconceptions about Mennonites, and your channel is really insightful. Thank you so much for sharing. I think this is the best way to bring peace. Breaking down stereotypes and preconceptions and sharing and understanding
I remember when we moved to our current house, I sat on the stairs, turned to my daughter and said ‘what have we done?’. But 17 yrs on, I still love my home. Houses grow on you and it’s what you put in it that makes it a home - your family. Enjoy your new home.
I absolutely love your house. Quit putting it down hon. My house is decorated very similar. I use “things” that mean something to me. Bless you. May God keep you safe and happy and above all in his care.
Megan, your house is lovely! I actually think the décor goes well together throughout the house. I have only one suggestion for selling it, and this comes from my years in the military and the number of houses I have bought and sold. You might want to have your husband put up a railing for the stairs if there isn't one already. We had to do that with a couple of houses we had, so that's something I notice when house hunting now.
Megan, I LOVE your home and your Kitchen!!! So CUTE, homey and clean and neat! Nothing wrong with having a small home! I also LOVE the yard!!! 3 bedrooms, a full finished basement, what a great first home or even a home to downsize to when the children are grown and on their own! This home will sell fast!To me, this is not a small home. :) That is said with the greatest respect for you and your family Megan. You and your husband did an outstanding job on the renovation. I will have to see the before video, if there is one!
Love all the the things you did to your 1st house to make it your home. It is so welcoming and you can see the loving touches both you and your husband contributed. Look forward to your move and creative adventure ahead.
I also noticed the pitch pipes. I come from a very conservative sect of Church of Christ. We sing a capella, and dress very similarly to you. It made me smile to see the pitch pipes, because I've never known anyone else who used them. I would love to hear your singing sometime. Like maybe around a campfire or something? We have 5 kids and it's so much fun to sing together! Our kids are old enough to sing their own parts and we have all 4 parts just with our little family. I love it!
Such a cute house! You guys did such a good job! We are on our third home renovation and I wish I had done something like this so I could remember them, so many memories made amongst the renovations!
What an adorable home! It's also interesting to read the comment section to see what a standard size home is in other places. Where we live 900 is considered pretty small, even our house at 1800 is considered on the smaller side. I wish you the best on your new home!
I love how each room isnt the same vibe and color scheme. Gives more personalized character of homeowners rather than looking magazine trendy. Thrn again my living room is coral, cream, gold & gray with bedroom midnight blue & gold, sons room gray & lime green and basement living room buckeye colors lol
Your house is perfectly home...it is refreshing to hear you say you love your stripes even if they are not in style. I love so many things that have nothing to do with fads. You are a great example of making your home beautifully perfect for your family.
I had to add, after finishing the video, I am a sap lol so I was balling my eyes out. Who knew? A tour of a stranger's home would touch my heart, but it did. And yes, heirloom is the correct word. I wish you & your family love & happiness in your new home.
Just came across your video. You are so darn cute. Its refreshing to see someone from the younger generation actually talk clearly with confidence and make a video without posing every second. You and your husband seem to be so crafty and gifted. love how clean and organized you are. Just like me. 😊 God bless you and your family. Oh, and bedroom suite, is pronounced sweet, not suit. Even though it looks like it should be pronounced suit. lol ❤
It’s a regional thing. I’ve always called it a bedroom set or suite, but I’ve met tons of people where I live (Lancaster County, PA) and where my dad used to live (Fulton County) who say suit. Weird-sounding, but no one forces me to say it wrong lol.
I so agree with the tip to carpet the basement. We live in an 1150 sq. ft. house and we re-did the entire basement 6 years ago and put in carpet. I'm so thankful that we could do the basement otherwise we would have out-grown our home years ago.
Love love love the contrast of that wonderful battered old timey warm red wagon, full of books, close to that modern/industrial looking cool silver coloured metal wall.
This is very cute! It's gives me inspiration as I want to downsize.....when my husband is ready....to our rental which is 950 square feet. You have a beautiful family! And the poodle is ridiculously cute!
Hi Megan, your house is so adorable. Very cozy. I personally like that your house is not cohesive. It gives off a very homey feel. Thanks for the tour. Josh is pretty handy with carpentry work!
My favorites are the basement walls, the wagon with books, the gray chair in basement, I love that color and style. And your personal touches in every nook and cranny are the BEST!
New subscriber here. I know exactly how you feel leaving your first home. I too had a small 900 sq ft home for our first and i am so nostalgic about it all the time. You will love your new home but always have those fond memories from your first.
Hmmm I think you need to listen to your self on the video. Do a check list of good things you say about yourself, family and home. Then make another one of the time you're not happy or dislike or negative comment. Its your home you made it to your liking. Who cares if its not up to par as others on UA-cam! Don't put down your home thats given you so much. Praise. Well I know someone will bite my head off for saying what came across your video. You have great fabulous FUNCTIONAL ideas and I do appriciate your amazing work. Blessings on your new home.
Thank you for sharing your home space, which looked very warm and inviting. Congratulations on your new home, and I’m sure you’ll make it just as lovely as this home.
just found your channel and subscribed. My dad grew up in Lancaster, its such a beautiful part of the country! I'm from Maine, but PA is so pretty - I love all the farm land! I love your style. My husband and I just bought a house, and you definitely are an inspiration as I work on remodeling (our house was built in 1969).
I love your house. It's lovely decorated with a lot of DIY, what I like. Perhaps it's a small house for Americans but for Belgian/French standards it's a normal house for a family with 2 kids. You have a big basement and you're lucky enough to have a sewing area (I sew on my kitchen table and spend soo much time to install , and desinstall all my stuff every time I want to sew). You have a garage an a big garden. And for kitchen appliances, you have more than most families will ever have. My house is approximatively the same size as yours , but after 25 years of marriage and 2 kids, and I think I'm blessed when I compare with my relatives living in Greece or in Eastern Europa, where housing conditions are poorer.
Your home looked beautiful! We would say it was the perfect size for a family of four. As long as everyone has a bedroom, you're all set. But bet it is so much easier to have the play area on the same floor as the main living space since mom's spend so much time in the kitchen and doing laundry.
Family of 8, 1750 sq ft. But it's enough for us. Loved the style you've put in your home! You have such great organization and don't keep clutter around. Definitely love that
You are amazing for a Mennonite! Both of you. My Grandfather was Mennonite, and loved baseball!! Could not tear him away from the baseball game on TV. He was a Phillies fan, and a hand set printer. He did the best work! Miss him so much!
Your home is beautiful! We are a family of 5 and sold our 960 sq. ft. home 2 years ago. We bought 2,500+ sq. ft. home. I am not used to this huge home. It is an older home that needs a ton of work. I really do miss my cute little rancher. I am hoping to downsize once our children are older. ❤
Beautiful home, Megan...look forward, too, to the new one. Loved seeing the clothesline! That was one of the first things my husband put up when we moved to this property. Thank you for sharing...
3 bedrooms in a 900sqft house? That should be a good setting. Love watching how other people organize their living. Small channel looking for subscribers.
I love little cozy homes! Our first home we lived in as newlyweds was 800 sq ft and it was so cute! So easy to clean as well! The first one we bought was 1000 and we raised our babies there for 5 years. Next month we close on our second home and I can't wait to make memories there. It's very similar to yours. Gave me cute ideas for the basement we'd like to finish!
Love how you are able to wear hair curls outside of your covering, and you can wear t shirt and skirt instead of the common Mennonite outfits. You are blessed to live in that kind of welcoming community. We live near Mennonites here in TN, and we have good relationship with them. My son works at a Mennonite farm and I respect a lot of their culture. You have a beautiful home. And I live your voice and personality.
I recently moved from Fleetwood Pa to the wine country of California. I had Mennonite friends, I miss them very much. She did all my mending and sewing for me. I miss the area, it's so beautiful there.
Mom in her 40’s here..... Over the years, I had collected a lot of kitchen stuff... Last year I started feeling like my house was running me. I went through everything. I kept one set of pots and pans for example and basically downsized everything. Can I tell you I feel like I’ve gotten my life back. The more things you have, the more you have to take care of. For example, I had a punch bowl that I used once in 25 years.... Obviously, that’s not something my household needs to have. Less is more! It’s something I know for sure as I’ve reached middle age and wish I would have made the change 10 years ago.
Your house is just so cute! Love your decor. It's always hard to leave a home but you still have all those memories & you are blessed to have all your UA-cam videos to look back! Can't wait to see the new home & what you do with it.
Love the Christmas tree shop table… and the shelves in the front room look great! My cats would be so excited about all the heirlooms to knock over!! Super cute house! (I’m binge watching the videos that were before I followed you… sorry for all the comments on old videos!!)
Beautiful house! Thank you for the tour! You mentioned about the books from your wedding... I'm curious to know more about that and what books you have/like. Thank you again!
Oh my gosh! I have the SAME set up in my living room! We live in a little cape cod and I have a glider rocking chair next to my living room chair for extra seating. It was a gift from my mother for my daughter's nursery when she was a baby! It doesn't "fit" the decor, but I love it and it's functional.
We did a remodel of our home during the year before we sold it. I wasn't very fond of the house but after the remodel I loved it!! I miss our house. ha ha! We actually moved states down-sized. So yeah, I had all the space I needed for my crock pot, toaster oven (both really help keep the heat out of the house during the summer), my caner, ect. I have NO room anymore!!! LOL. I'm creative though, so far I've moved the eating area out of the 'kitchen' space and added an island and put a bakers rack against the front wall. I still need a little bit more room though.... Maybe I need a garage sale.
Beautiful...and Amen this world is not my home I'm just passing through on my way home....🙌🙌🙌the love of my life has already there..oh how I miss him😥😥
@@LoriSF124 thank you he was very young and went misdiagnosed for 9 weeks to end up in our hospital for 4 days and we were sent to university of Birmingham to find out he had wegener autoimmune disease very rare..last case they treated was 6 years ago.....we married at 16 and 17 blessed with twin boys at 22 and 23...married 36 wonderful years.....the love of my life..blessed to have him as my pastor...we were in hospital for 32 days and God called him home.......I miss him everyday and my heart aches....may God bless you
Your home is gorgeous! I love the door to the bathroom. That is definitely what gives a house some character. Can't wait to see what you do to the next house.
What a lovely home you and hubby have made for your family and Megan you are a classy lady.God Bless your beautiful family and yes thanks for the inspirations you give.
I love your spunky positive character. Your videos are uplifting.
Thanks for inviting us into your home. I loved it. The back yard was beautiful with those trees. They was something special about each room you show us. you from North Dakota. ❤️
100% agree!!!!✌🏻😀😀😀😀
My British in-laws would say, the wagon is a keepsake.
You have a Kitchen Aid mixer. Have you seen the Amish Kitchen Aid? It has a crank on the back end. No electricity. There is a company that converts them.
Your house is truly a home...it's so welcoming and warm with so many personal touches! Your first home is so special...we were in ours for a decade and finally moved about a year ago. I know I will too!
really like the outside colors choices on your house and your backyard is beautiful, all that greenery and space.. love the "wedding vows" art work !! thanks for sharing
What a beautiful home you have put together, thanks for showing us. All the best in your next place🇦🇺🐨
You live in such a beautiful, pastoral area, that the outside is usually reflective on the inside. Enjoyed the home tour. You've both put a lot of love and hard work into all that you've accomplished ❤ together. I can't wait for all the ways your family will make this new place, HOME!
OMGosh, you are absolutely adorable! You have a lovely home, thank you for sharing it with us!!
Your home is great! You’ve made it so nice. Can’t wait to see your new one!
Very sweet tour! Yes, 'heirloom' is right. :). Cool arched door to the bathroom. You're leaving a positive aura in this home for the next family. Good luck and God bless in your new home.
You have a very different definition of "tiny" than most of Europe looooooooooool!! Cute house!
@PragaMaterUrbium in some parts of America this could be considered tiny but in most areas it's quote spacious.
No. Houses are massive and square footage is way beyond the average of most countries no matter wealth or where they're located. It's a cultural thing mainly...
I'm from Asia, so yeah I agree with u
My husband and I built the house our babies grew up in (for nearly eight years) before he was transferred. One of my favourite things I love about youtube is I get to watch videos and learn about other people's lifestyles.
I love your home! So much thought was put into everything. Thanks for sharing. Love your disposition.
Megan, I LOVE your home and your Kitchen!!! So CUTE, homey and clean and neat! Nothing wrong with having a small home! I love the wagon filled with books idea for storage!
It looks so much bigger than 900 sqft! Wow! Beautiful. Cant wait to see what you do with the new house.
Your house is beautiful! God bless you and yours always, Megan. Hugs from Brazil!
I love it!
I love singing but don't have a great voice. Those are my husband pitch pipes. He leads songs at church sometimes.
You definitely made this house a home! I can't wait to see your transformation of the new one! 😊
Such a cute house! You guys did such a good job! We are on our third home renovation and I wish I had done something like this so I could remember them, so many memories made amongst the renovations!
So beautiful!!! I absolutely love the down stairs living area, great mix between work and play!!

I felt the exact same way when we moved from our first home! We brought our baby home there. I cried hard when we moved!
Your house is perfectly home...it is refreshing to hear you say you love your stripes even if they are not in style. I love so many things that have nothing to do with fads. You are a great example of making your home beautifully perfect for your family.

Your home is so perfect! I think it’s the perfect amount of space! And utilized so well! I would totally buy it if I lived there! LOVE IT! ❤️
Heirloom is correct, love your home. You did a great job, making it your own. Enjoy your new home as much!!!!
Your house was attractive and all seemed well planned & I did feel it was cohesive...Thanks for the tour ❣❣❣

Hi Megan, your house is so adorable. Very cozy. I personally like that your house is not cohesive. It gives off a very homey feel. Thanks for the tour. Josh is pretty handy with carpentry work!
I love your home. I love your family heirlooms! They mean so much and not everyone today appreciates "old" things. Another interesting and fun video!
Hi, Megan! Another beautiful video. Thanks for the share. Cheers ~ Leida
My favorites are the basement walls, the wagon with books, the gray chair in basement, I love that color and style. And your personal touches in every nook and cranny are the BEST!
Your house is beautiful! Will be excited to see what you two do with the new house.

You make sense!! 😊 We do not wear shoes in our house either. 😉 It's not clean and it keeps your house so much cleaner and easier to keep.

aw all that grass makes me miss my childhood in wisconsin, running around barefoot in the grass :) I live in LA now so they're just fond memories

Your house looks amazing! Your yard is such a dream. Thanks for inspiring me to get back to my organization!!
Family of 8, 1750 sq ft. But it's enough for us. Loved the style you've put in your home! You have such great organization and don't keep clutter around. Definitely love that
I love the little book wagon ... great idea ..the love shines throughout your home...xx
You are amazing for a Mennonite! Both of you. My Grandfather was Mennonite, and loved baseball!! Could not tear him away from the baseball game on TV. He was a Phillies fan, and a hand set printer. He did the best work!

Beautiful home, Megan...look forward, too, to the new one. Loved seeing the clothesline! That was one of the first things my husband put up when we moved to this property. Thank you for sharing...
Yeah is should probably use my clothesline more
3 bedrooms in a 900sqft house? That should be a good setting. Love watching how other people organize their living.
Small channel looking for subscribers.
If you don't think the bathroom is cohesive all you need to do is change the paint and shower curtain.
You're right. White walls would tie it in with the other bedrooms. Maybe the next homeowner will do that!
Thanks from West Chester to your East. Real not fake. So good to have the stroll through a place done with caring and love.
Mini golden doodle says hi, that's awesome made me laugh
Love how you are able to wear hair curls outside of your covering, and you can wear t shirt and skirt instead of the common Mennonite outfits. You are blessed to live in that kind of welcoming community. We live near Mennonites here in TN, and we have good relationship with them. My son works at a Mennonite farm and I respect a lot of their culture. You have a beautiful home. And I live your voice and personality.
Very nice tour of a not huge house; so practical and comfortable. Thank you.
So cute. Can't wait to see what you do with your new home!
Your house is nice and cozy, the backyard looks like a slice of heaven. It’s beautiful !💕👍🇨🇦
You have done such a great job making your house a home. Its lovely!
I love following your channel!! Your home is beautiful and I can’t wait to see what you do with the new house.
Your feelings ABSOLUTELY make sense. Many hugs!!
I recently moved from Fleetwood Pa to the wine country of California. I had Mennonite friends, I miss them very much. She did all my mending and sewing for me. I miss the area, it's so beautiful there.
Your videos are an act of evangelism--people see the beauty of your faith and lifestyle and are drawn to it! Keep up the good work :)
I think your house is lovely. You definitely made it your own and I love all the DIYs! Thank you for sharing this with us.
Awww! Love your little doggie. So cute!
Beautiful home. Love the wagon with the books. Have a blessed day. ❤
Wishing you success in your new home
