    For purple we have another color that is closer to the latin word which is "porpura" and so is there in french with "pourpre". This color is between red and purple

    In Brazil brown eyes " olhos castanhos " not " olhos marrons."/ Brown hair " cabelos castanhos " not " cabelos marrons ".

      In Romanian and Sicilian "vinitu" means "came" ( Ei o vinitu/ they came)

      In Oltenia they say
      Eu vinui/ I came
      Tu vinishi/ you came( singular)
      El, ea viniseti/ they came.
      Noi viniram/we came
      Voi vinirati/ you came(: plural)
      Ei,ele vinira/ they came ( plural)
      It's also "Eu fui"/ I went
      How do you say that?

      Both meaning
      I went with my son.
      Also they say "fusei"/ I went

    In European Portuguese the word for Brown is Castanho, not marrom.

    in romanian we also have a word for blue and its bleu

      Bleu is light blue and is a neologism. We also have azur for light blue.

    In Portuguese brown is Castanho. Only Brazil says Marrom

    In some parts of Latin America "pink" is also called "rosado"
