phil John crisp in my eyes sum up what Suffolk Norfolk folk music is all about harmony of voice and instruments all best wishes Chris and John dad remembers good ole days and still gets guitar out and sings
I have been seeking the works of John Crisp for years - we were friends for years but lost touch. I co-wrote several of his songs and played on some. John Lord often appears on 'Time Team' as a flint knapper, he used to be the custodian at Grimes Graves and had an annual garden party without equal! How I miss those balmy days!!
iamherekai I am so sorry Kai but all my copies were lost in a burglary some years ago however, I am trying to contact John and hope to see him soon. If I succeed, I will ask him if he still has copies!
I last saw John about three years ago , he used to live in my hometown in Thetford Norfolk but he has since moved , I'll let you know if I find him , do you have a contact address ?
Philly and John used to play in my mum dads house in Brandon Suffolk my dad is John Richard rose house is on St Peter's place 12 dad used to play all sorts of instruments harpsichord which he modified guitar etcetera mum dad still alive now living in Norfolk
My dad (John Underwood) was friends with John for many years. My dad took the photographs for this album cover and played at Thetford Folk Club with John. We grew up with John a frequent and much loved visitor at our house. We had both albums, but they were stolen along with a load of other items left in storage after my parents died. If anyone owns and is able to post up 'Breckland my home forever' I would be over the moon.
Magical and unique..... Geoffrey Warren was my cousin..

Thank you for this. Wonderful to hear again. I don't think John ever knew how wonderful he was (is!). Such a gentle soul and incredible talent.
