It makes you cry because you're the kind of person for whom music is an emotional experience. You "feel" the music. It impacts you. That makes you the best kind of music listener. Lots of music makes me cry because the feelings can be intense. This song does it to me every single time.
As for your channel, give it some time. You're one of the best music reactors out there and your followers really like you, myself included. In fact, I have unsubscribed to other music reactors who seem fake or superficial or "overreact" like it's all an act for them. Give it time and continue being your real self. You're genuine and really listen and passionately experience the music. That's why we all love you and your channel. I'm confident it will eventually get bigger and take off the way you want it to.

When this song came out it had the same impact on the British public as "Bridge Over Troubled Water" by Simon & Garfunkel - we had no reference points to compare it with, just pure emotion in musical form. Those of us who were teenagers then have a backdrop of such great music like this to our lives, wonderfully available through social media to a new generation of music lovers. Peoples hearts don't change.

"Comparison is the thief of joy." warned Teddy Roosevelt, so don't worry about the numbers and the comparison. I go by quality, heart, character, integrity, kindness, value and things like that, and in those categories, you are among the very best of the bunch. Tweaking around the edges may help with the numbers. A very clever name that screams the promise of what you will deliver, may be best. The future problem will be that you are too successful. You may have to deliver a lot of goods you would rather not do. I would hate to review disco, for example. Tagging the best musical genres might protect you from that, and give you a pleasant future. For peace of mind, genres like progressive, new age, world, new wave, indie, art rock would be an edifying mix. I appreciate your honest emotions. The world needs more authentic role models.

I think most of us want to see “real” reactions and that’s exactly what we get from you.
I’ve told you before that you are in danger of being one of my favourite, maybe even my actual my favourite reactor. Not just because you are working your way through my personal record collection with your reactions but because of the joy (usually) written all over your face, when you are hearing great music.
While music like this can make you emotional, more often it just rips away the band-aids, exposing the emotions that are already there. This is a good thing. Those tears need releasing. That is the healing power of music.
I hope you don’t stop doing this. You really are good at it. But if you do stop, look me up if you’re ever in the UK. I’ll buy you a beer. A warm beer of course.

on the Ed Sullivan show, they sang You’ll never walk alone.
The most played song ever Bobby and Bill Medley -
You’ve lost that loving feeling. There’s many singles by each, but listen to Bobby sing Somewhere, and Crying in the chapel, or I Believe, Justine (both brothers), Bring It On home to Me.
      They have a huge following!
The BeeGees also have a large following.
Good luck. New businesses are slow until word of mouth gets around.

We so much appreciate your reactions and your relationship to the music. I am sure 10k would agree with me that your emotionally open reactions are a joy and an intimate experience. Most don't invest that much of themselves. So hang in there if you can afford the time, because we would hate to lose your honest and insightful appraisals. All the quality music you have been choosing alonf with your tears would be a big loss. Besides you have yet to listen to Supper's Ready. And we are all ready for that!

@@intothesunset3 With Supper's Ready we are hearing Peter Gabriel, but I just have to say one of the things I admire most about his buddy Phil Collins is Phil's ability to show his emotions openly and honestly and not care what people think. For me it is a very manly trait that he shares with Peter. But Phil Collins is extraordinary.

Great reaction! I do love this version. So beautiful, very emotional. However, I personally like the original version better because I’m an old hippie and when this song was first released I absolutely fell in love with it. The vibe did and still does resonate with the culture and identity of my generation. The organ throughout the song is iconic. Such a beautiful melody. Brings tears to my eyes every single time.
On a personal note. I want to let you know that I truly hope that you continue with your channel. You have no need to feel inferior to ANY other reactors! I have been listening to many different reactor’s channels for quite some time. Have subscribed to a few. I found you several months ago and you immediately became my absolute favorite. I so enjoy your non-pretentious and heartfelt reactions. No gimmicks, no ridiculous overreactions. You are a genuine person. Always be yourself. We love you!

Great reaction.i'm glad you did the original first.i enjoy that you do the reserch and show us.
I like both.i love the synths on the first and the orchestral arrangement of the second.
Music is meant to move you in some way.
Embrace the emotion .it just shows you have a heart, your mature and human.
I to have songs that throughout my life no matter where i am emotionally will make me tear up.like somewhere over the rainbow, have yourself a merry little Christmas by judy garland.

When this band came to our city (Edmonton, Alberta 🇨🇦) back in 1971 it was BIG news to rock fans back then. I think my brother went to the 1971 concert with Edmonton Symphony, he has loved this band since the 60’s. Gary Brooker’s voice is so recognizable as well as his keyboard skills, & this is their big, big, biggest hit 🥰💎. RIP Gary Brooker 💔❤️‍🩹☮️
The world is losing so many singers / musicians from the 60’s & 70’s, thankfully there were smart people recording the music in studio & in concerts for people to remember & for newbies to enjoy from this era of fantastic music and songwriting & singing. RIP all those we have lost.
PS You should go back to around 1971 to hear Gary Brooker & Procol Harum perform, you will see how Gary B never lost his voice right into 2020’s and BJ Wilson the drummer was outstanding & was known for how low he sat when playing his drums ( Led Zep wanted him to be their drummer but he stayed with Procol Harum & later played with the Joe Cocker band, he reminds me of Michael Shrieve ( Santana / Woodstock drummer) 😃
For your own enjoyment check Procol Harum’s early days to really get why we loved them way back when 💥

Shawn, you are my favorite reactor! Every day I am anxious to see what you will be doing next. Your channel is definitely growing quickly .. it just takes time. Many other reactors that are doing well may have been at it for much longer. I watch your numbers increase regularly. Even if you need to reduce the number of reactions, that would be better than none at all. Because you are that good! Thank you, we are happy to have you doing this!

In the late '60s, my older brother gave me his 'shoe-box' cassette player, when he bought himself a stereo unit... he included a couple of used tapes, to get me started. This song, recorded off the radio, was on one of those tapes. I must have worn it out, I played it so damn much! The organ reminded me of the seriousness and majesty of a church on special occasions, but at the same time, it was soooo much better! ;-]
Don't worry about the emotions... it's nature's way of reminding you that you are alive! Having kids will often trigger a change... letting the walls crumble is often par for the course.
Now, aren't you glad you heard the original first, to now be able to appreciate how important this song was to our musical culture? Would you have felt it all as profoundly if this version was your first? -- I think not. ;-]

Wasn’t that absolutely fantastic!! I was a teenager when that came out along with Sgt Pepper the same year and what a year it was.
So lucky to have lived through those times and quite honestly, nothing will ever be able to compare. We lived through the most incredible time of music etc. 😊❤️👍
