I just finished all of your videos on the racing mower. My hat is off to you. I am a machinist by trade and I have also built a kart for my daughter. Took me 5 yrs to build in my spare time. Every part cnc'd, tig welded, and the like. Still my hat is off to you. What a great job on the finished product. Anyone can build with with the machines I have. Only a pro can build like you did. What a work of art.
Yeah, I kept leaving comments about how he needed a machinist in his life, but you are right. He did a heck of a job without any machine work....But man...If only I could have machined that crank bell for him...and the throttle pull, and the bell cover and the.....
very inspiring, things like this are the reason there's like 8 retired ridding mowers in my back yard. It's beautiful machine,I would be very pleased if I could build something like this out of collection of unfinished mower projects.
Thanks, I spent a hell of a lot of time and money to get this thing how I wanted it. Of course I'm still tweaking it here and there, but thats life! lol
Excellent build! Looks like a hell of a lot of fun! You are lucky to live on such a beautiful country road. Looking forward to any future progress reports.
I can just imagine how fun and exciting it was to build your own kart. I'm slowing building my own mini bike and having a ton of fun with it. I'm not in a rush so it's a slow but fun process.
the throttle linkage is bypassing the governor anyways, governor doesnt even need to be removed to be bypassed into full throttle all the time whenever you want
A fantastic finish to a long, hard, and costly build ! Also as I've built sever Rods and Custom Cars--As we always said--there never done till ya sell um !!
It's a awesome build, what would be cool to possibly add to it. Is putting a Red wheel barrel as a cockpit seat will give it a look like a T-Bucket have a UTUBE video where someone use this idea 👇 ua-cam.com/video/beNrMM68wiM/v-deo.html
Dude, that thing is perfect. Don't listen to these other guys saying things like"I would change this and that". It's perfect the way it is.I bet that thing is doing about 50 to 60 mph like you said or faster. Later days dude.
you inspired me to build one of these so im going to save my money and build one from scratch kinda like u did im going to take some of your ideas and I going to make one just like yours
Fearlessfront please tell me where you got those tires! im thirteen and my brother, 17 and i, 14 are building a kart a lot like this. You inspired us, its great keep up the good work!
A little late but I really like it! I've got 3 Huffy's, currently building one of them. Got the whole thing stripped down, just figuring out how I want to do it. Your build gave me a lot of inspirations and ideas! Awesome build!
The last gokart that I built had a 50 HP snowmachine engine, Snow Jet, I thinik, the frame with was just wide enough for the stock muffler to fit between the rails. I used ATV rims and tires. I used the stock clutch on the engine and ran a "hot" live axle, and I used a toothed belt. Brakes were on the rear tires, Simple sheet metal curved shoes pulled tight against the tires. It didn't turn to well under power but it the dirt, if you stomped on it the powerslids were a blast.
Nice only thing I would have made a plate to protect the family jewels.. ..... I dnt like anything close to my balls and would build a cover plate to ensure this...
Hey fearless I am planning on making a race mower/ go kart like yours but with a motorcycle engine I am thinking of maybe going with out any suspension what are ur thoughts
Congrats on a bee-yoo-tiful build!! Your adherence to high standards of engineering and build quality as well as your eye for style have created something the rest of us would just love to have!
dude ...awesome build! ive been racing karts for over 16 years and use the same engine that you have in the mower ....get with me and i can get that thing lined out or get you some parts that would wake it up!
Never really knew about lawn mower racing builds but hey if it has an engine and wheels it'd be race! But anyway after watching all your work on this I'd definitely build my own love driving love going fast and building things so I'd love this :D
Hey, FF. Only my 2 cent suggestion, but, with your love of lawn tractors and fabricating skills, how about you build yourself something really fun AND useful: a FRONT END LOADER to go on a heavier lawn/garden tractor like a Wheel Horse or an Ingersoll? You could then move sand and gravel, firewood, and plow snow. Whaddayathink? I'd love to see it! :)
Nice Job! I am going to build one too. I have a connection with the Guy who owns the Dump. I picked up a Suzuki Quad for suspension and Rear End parts. I also have a Yard King mover for a Body. I am still looking for an Engine - Transmission setup. I had a CB - 350 Honda but I sold it. Where I live I shouldn't have a problem using it on the Street without a License as long as I keep it looking like a Lawn Mower. Mine won't be as low as yours is because I will have to run it with the mower deck in the summer and a Blade in the Winter so the Sheriff can't Bust me for riding an unlicensed ATV or Go kart on the Street. So far I have $0.00 invested.
Nice build, I'd say you have a cross between an ATV (with handle bars ) , a kart , and a tractor with the hood and seat. Maybe take out the ATV handle bars, and put a competition steering wheel ... Nice work..
It kinda sounds like the engine is lugging, you might be able to make it go faster if it were geared slightly lower to get the RPMs up and let the engine hit the power band.
I really like how you made it clear on each step of your build and changes made to it ;) Just watched it again from the start with a friend to show him the thought and detail you put into this whole project! Great job and end product ;) ;) Rob
That things cool! It's a progression from playing with stock mowers to building one that's more race than mow. That thing does launch real good, that converter is very nice I see. I dig all your builds, except this mower, it's doable stuff for minimal tools and money. You can go as mild or as wild as you want , or have a budget for. Either way you are gonna have fun!
Thanks for taking me along on this build. My hats off to you buddy, I'm Impressed. Also your camera work is great, you hold nothing back. Again I'm Greatly impressed!

Thanks! check out my most recent top speed run.
You did an amazing job. That is awesome!
I can just imagine how fun and exciting it was to build your own kart. I'm slowing building my own mini bike and having a ton of fun with it. I'm not in a rush so it's a slow but fun process.
the governor is killing the speed, TAKE IT OUT
Taking the governor out will blow up the motor
If you are an idiot about it
A.J.'s ATV Repair shop actually the governor is removed if you don't believe me, then check out racing lawnmower update number 20
the throttle linkage is bypassing the governor anyways, governor doesnt even need to be removed to be bypassed into full throttle all the time whenever you want
Taking the governor out will blow up the motor 🤣🤣🤣🤣 lmao
A fantastic finish to a long, hard, and costly build ! Also as I've built sever Rods and Custom Cars--As we always said--there never done till ya sell um !!
yeah, sort of, I haven't REALLY tried yet. I'm still tweaking more power out of it. My goal is to be able to pull donuts on pavement, and do 50mph
It's a awesome build, what would be cool to possibly add to it. Is putting a Red wheel barrel as a cockpit seat will give it a look like a T-Bucket have a UTUBE video where someone use this idea 👇

Built to look like a lawn mower, awesome work of art
Nice little beast man
Nice Mower , I can see a lot of hours here . Superb.
rollbar and drift trike tires in the back :P
as a 54 year old who grew up with minibikes and go karts in the 70's- that's way cool. i was shocked how fast it took off.
Dude, that thing is perfect. Don't listen to these other guys saying things like"I would change this and that". It's perfect the way it is.I bet that thing is doing about 50 to 60 mph like you said or faster. Later days dude.
Thanks man, gonna clock it soon!
William Santiago shnpokeryuercll
dude that's one bad ass lawn tractor. excellent job.
you inspired me to build one of these so im going to save my money and build one from scratch kinda like u did im going to take some of your ideas and I going to make one just like yours
the coolest raceing mower ever that will never cut lawn agen
Looks good but it's not even a mower it's a go kart.
yea, you're right... lol!
Fearlessfront please tell me where you got those tires! im thirteen and my brother, 17 and i, 14 are building a kart a lot like this. You inspired us, its great keep up the good work!
thats y it says mower/ gokart
And not racing
It's got a hood just zip tie a knife to it and it's got a blade
Awesome build!! Love the pod filter sticking out the side
3:00 it's crazy how fast that thing zooms by the camera
I figure that was 50-55 mph. Good job.
for when you need to mow your lawn hella quick
That is one BAD ASS machine my friend looks like a 32 roadster
cool! thanks, thats the look I was going for... sort of an old rat-rod look
man well done ay this has inspired a whole new build quality level in my build of a 250cc ninja motor in an old greenfield tractor 8! Champion
A little late but I really like it! I've got 3 Huffy's, currently building one of them. Got the whole thing stripped down, just figuring out how I want to do it. Your build gave me a lot of inspirations and ideas! Awesome build!
Have any stock parts for a Broadlawn?
What do you reckon the 0-60 is? Don't kill your self trying lol
DMV Miata and Jeep he said 54 MPH
The last gokart that I built had a 50 HP snowmachine engine, Snow Jet, I thinik, the frame with was just wide enough for the stock muffler to fit between the rails. I used ATV rims and tires. " mama say mowers are the devil" waterboy lol
Debil lol that crazy ol hag called everything the DeBil.
Wow, that thing goes like the clappers when you give it the beans. Good job!
Cooooolllllllllllllllllll but does it still cut grass like tim taylors hahhaha
Badass man, just got to this point in watching the whole build. I'm continuing on of course!
Nice only thing I would have made a plate to protect the family jewels.. ..... I dnt like anything close to my balls and would build a cover plate to ensure this...
it has one, it's there if you look hard enough, it's made of 1/4" steel and it's removable so you can service the top end.
(great minds think alike!)
Yes they do lol
Awesome Todd. It sorted out well and looks nice and tight. Good on you man.
Under the TARP is Marty McFly
Way to ruin the surprise man...
The handlebars are pure genius!
it's a beast. I want one
7 years!!!!! 7 years Todd....come one! You can make a living in this!!! Get going again 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Hey fearless I am planning on making a race mower/ go kart like yours but with a motorcycle engine I am thinking of maybe going with out any suspension what are ur thoughts

Very impressive. I will check your channel for updates and new projects.
i always wanted to do this to our old broken down mower. glad you got to, and that it was a success!
Looks completely awesome watched the whole build and it was really cool. And it all seems so simple but it looks so much more complex
Dude, that's one of the coolest works of art I've seen. You can beat lots of car's off the line.
Congrats on a bee-yoo-tiful build!! Your adherence to high standards of engineering and build quality as well as your eye for style have created something the rest of us would just love to have!
thats a Go kart built to look like a mower, very clean build and i'd day it hits 45mph
Great Job! Definitely a Go-Pro Cam would be nice. Got to get one myself.

That is a nice ride you got there. I like it very much.
dude ...awesome build! ive been racing karts for over 16 years and use the same engine that you have in the mower ....get with me and i can get that thing lined out or get you some parts that would wake it up!
I like that you put a Honda engine in it. Good choice.
Never really knew about lawn mower racing builds but hey if it has an engine and wheels it'd be race! But anyway after watching all your work on this I'd definitely build my own love driving love going fast and building things so I'd love this :D

Nice I might make me one and I see how you stretched the rear tiers it's sick
I'm a couple years late on this video but builds like this make me want to build one. These racing mowers are really cool.
Nice build, I'd say you have a cross between an ATV (with handle bars ) , a kart , and a tractor with the hood and seat. Maybe take out the ATV handle bars, and put a competition steering wheel ...
Nice work..
Enjoyed the whole series! Patience and perseverance definitely pays off!
That's sick how fast it goes
Im inspired, i took the governor off my mower today and did the pulley flip to get the speed up. Tomarrow I will test my rig out lol.
Damn that thing doesnt mess around, nice man.
That thing is sick as hell dude! Respect
way cool ... I can only imagine how much fun it is to ride!
It kinda sounds like the engine is lugging, you might be able to make it go faster if it were geared slightly lower to get the RPMs up and let the engine hit the power band.
You guys are so lucky , you have so much space to do stuff like this
finally finished i sit and watch these for two days it came out really nice
Todd - Awesome build!
nice job mate. looks really clean actually
I really like how you made it clear on each step of your build and changes made to it ;) Just watched it again from the start with a friend to show him the thought and detail you put into this whole project! Great job and end product ;) ;) Rob
