Stormchase May 15, 2022 - Lightning barrage - South of Tulsa, OK

On the very first chase day of the tour, we chased a nice lightning storm, South of Tulsa, Okahoma. An electrifying day with several dangerous strikes too close at us, which forced us into the vans a couple if times. No serious rotation or wall cloud was spotted. The nice beautiful Arcus cloud in front of the storm was probably the only photogenic structure visible. A perfect 'warm up' chase for the two week tour ;-) Bert van Dijk [c] 2022.

I may have taken a picture of the cumulonimbus from 33,000 feet. I was flying from Georgia to California and saw a cumulonimbus when we were going over Oklahoma.
