Hi John, thank you for the comment and thank you for the suggestions. I’ll have a look into them 😊 Looking at phone holders/cases now 👍 Where are you based? 😊
I got a Transalp in December 2023 and love it so far. I have had a Yamaha Vmax 1200 since 2009 and also have a KLR(or two, long story). I'm thinking the TA will replace the Vmax and at least one of the KLRs. I live in Canada so have only had now about 4 days that I could ride the TA this year but by next weekend the high is like -10c again so it might be a bit more time before I can get much riding in. Hopeful that my crash bars and skid plate show up by next weekend so they'll be ready for the warmer temperature to come by hopefully April
Hi Greg, thank you for the comment. I hope you enjoyed the video. I’m glad you like the Transalp, it’s a a fantastic bike 😊 and wow that’s cold! 🥶 Hopefully the weather warms up for you soon. How long is the KLR story? 😂 I’m intrigued… 😊
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I have what Honda calls the “Red Prominence Candy” model. 52.000Km on it and going strong and smooth as ever. My daily commuter, weekend rider and a trip across Europe and the Balkans with luggage and a pillion without a single problem. Couldn’t be happier, I plan to ride the thing while it has any life left in it (which judging by the accounts I read, will be veeery long). If you ever decide to come ride in the Canary Islands give me a shout, beers on me… ;-)
I do like the red 😊 that’s amazing, sounds like the ideal bike! They do seem to be very well built and if looked after - will last a very long time 😊 I’m not planning on heading that way soon but if I do, I will let you know 😊 Thank you very much. Ride safe and if you don’t mind, please subscribe 👊

I came from the CB650R, the TA is a fantastic bike by far I’ve owned a few bikes before. I love the wind protection on the TA and of course the amazing engine.
Hi John 😊 Thank you for your comment. I’m glad you like the Transalp, I love mine 😊 I imagine it’s a very different bike to ride compared to the CBR. I rode one around a car park last week and it was really strange in comparison to the Transalp. I had to turn into a gymnast to fit on it 😂 Have you made any changes to the bike? Which colour did you go for? 😊
I will add wind deflector, windshield deflector and crash bars, engine guards. Still waiting for their arrivals. It’s a new bike very hard to buy accessories here in Canada.
I have a Transalp, which I have had for a month now. Due to your video’s, I will be getting the wind deflectors. I purchased a windscreen mount for my Tom Tom Rider. On my previous bike I had it on my handlebars. Unfortunately, I had to keep looking down to see the display. It is much better on the windscreen, easier to see. Keep up the good work. Great content.
Hello Iain 😊 Thank you very much! I’m glad you are enjoying the videos. They are a great addition to the bike, they really help to keep the wind off you and I think they look good too 😎 I have thought about the windscreen mount type set up, but it would block the GoPro view, so it looks like I will have to stick my phone on the handle bar 🤔 Which colour do you have? Any other plans for your bike? 😊
@@TyresNTorque , I have the same colour as yours. My bike goes in next month for its 600 mile service and it will be fitted with a socket and Honda heated grips. I am intending to buy a taller screen as I am 6’ 1” and have just purchased a rear hugger.
Brilliant! Good choice on colour 👌😃 I haven’t seen a rear hugger on the new Transalp yet. I would be keen to know how much protection it gives the bike. The taller screen is definitely worth getting, especially if you are tall. I’m just under 6’3 and it is much better than the standard screen for me.
@@TyresNTorque , I should be getting the hugger in a weeks time. I will let you know how it works out. I put a fender extender on the front which reduces the muck on the radiator considerably .
Yes please that would be great! I have a front fender extender on too, they do a fantastic job. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to keep their bike a little more clean 😊 Have you done anything else to your bike?
My Transalp is the best of all worlds. The answer to your navigation tangles is a Garmin XT2 mounted over the bike display on an SW Motech GPS bracket that bolts to the dash (NOT the windscreen). The Garmin Tread phone app lets you plan a tour and then syncs it to the Garmin. Mobile phones are not for real time navigation, should be in your jacket in case you come off and need to call help. They’re also hard to see and in summer can overheat and shut down. The investment is well worth it. Happy riding! Geoff in Tasmania
