David is an inspiration. I have been despairing a bit, yearning to teach English in Mexico but not seeing it in the cards for at least 3 more years if not 8, but seeing him living his dream beyond the expected 20-something age range of most English teachers reminds me that it doesn't have to be now. It is my dream, and I will reach it, and it doesn't have to be now. Thanks David
I am actually a bit curious to hear about the challenges he said he experienced in Colombia for his internship because I am looking at teaching in Colombia 🤔
I studied abroad this past spring in Querétaro and had to come back to the US halfway through the semester due to covid😢 I am studying to be an ESL teacher as well! This video made me miss Querétaro so much, maybe I’ll be back to do the same thing as you! Thanks for sharing!😊
How are you banking? Did you open an acct in Mexico, and keep or close your accts in the states? I will be going in March of 2023 and trying to get as much done before I go.
Cool video! I made a similar video about my experiences living and teaching in Queretaro around the same time you released this. I worked in QRO in 2013. Your school seems much nicer than mine. How many hours a week did you work? Did you work on Saturdays?
I’m interested in doing this but I’m wanting to take my child with me. Do you think it would be smart to teach her every language I’m going to learn so that she can go to school in that specific country I choose to work in ?? Thank you !! P.S starting with Spanish first
I forgot to tell you that the classes are a couple of hours from Monday to Friday here in my department so they can get another job to earn more money or take a walk in their free hours
Awesome video! I’m American, 41 years old. I have an Associate Degree in Education, a TESOL certificate and 3 years experience teaching ESL online. I also have 2 children. Would I be able to teach English in Mexico? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you in advance.
Hi Alexander, all of our students receive lifetime job search guidance and access to our alumni groups, so a lot of our students are able to procure jobs through those pathways. It is possible to teach in Mexico as a NNES, feel free to check out our webpage on all requirements, job information, and salary expectations here: ita.fyi/TeachEnglishinMexico
I see your rent is only $185? Is that only your portion since you are sharing with roommates? Wondering how much the rent/utilities are total? As I will be there alone 😊

Great video! I am also from Northern Virginia, and am from San Juan Del Rio Queretaro.!
Curious to know why David didnt like Colombia. I love it here in Bogota' teaching English.

Good stuff! I have to imagine that for many teachers having adult students is much more preferable. Yes?
Great video! Very informative 👍🏾
Loved this! Great Job!
Hi, what’s the best website to find a job in Mexico? Is it possible to find a employment as a NNES?
