Greetings Mr. Wilson, I am a novice painter. I started painting in February of this year. I was inspired by Bob Ross, so I decided to give it a try. I always enjoyed drawing and sketching when I was a child.
THANK YOU! I've been taking some oil painting classes for 3 years now, but it's really a little group of older ladies and there isn't any instruction..... So. Today I discovered your video on this little guy, which I've been trying to paint on several occasions now. Everything you did was new. All novel. I didn't know any of these techniques. Wonderful tuturial...I am getting into acrylics...but I love to see the work with oils.I have drawn with pencil since I was very young and still love it....but I want color now.Thanks for sharing ! ★
i hated acrylics i only use it for nothing ha ha oils are better i don't know how 2 use them with oil its like a negative photograph and then i dry an d add gives me time 2 study what i am doing

Beautiful Chica de bird. I feel if you was to make the branch by his claws a little brownish. Then go back and make his claws black that would really show up. Just a hint. :) I like his little claws :) Thank you

Use acrylic medium, works great to keep the paint moist.
I am an acrylic artist but I still love the techniques here!

i have watched other artist on youtube, and am amazed at what they can do. I have been with two Bob Ross certified instructors in my area. BICKFORD: l love the way you speak & teach, (without the bi- polar background migrain producing music; which cancels out your intention by example, & my deliberate attention to the very good audio/visual lesson. Having never used OILS...can I follow you with Acrylics , (using a creamy medium mix), & get the same results? An intermediate artist.

hehe, when you said "I know you are just itching to try this" I found myself nodding my head thinking Yes :D This is the first of your tutorials I have seen, I love how you mask off the bird to do the background. I will try this though I don't have the Gesso products :( I am hoping a light thin coat of white acrylic paint will suffice.

I love the way you teach! I just found you. I am a beginner for sure. I would love to know if you have any suggestions on what brand of paint to use and what brand of brushes are good. I have been using brushes I get from the hardware store, but I heard I need to use brushes that go good with the type of painting I am using. Thank you so much for all your videos and advice.
