I made these. They came out amazing. At first i made hard consistency and when the first laddus cooled down, they were hard as stones. I added 3 spoons of hot milk and made the mixture like liquid soft, when it cooled down a little, i was able to make balls, but they flattened because of soft consistency. I kept them in the fridge overnight and now they are perfect, not hard, moist, keep the shape, taste so good. I also added dessicated coconut to semolina.
I'm a huge fan of rave unde...my mom makes yum ones but I was motivated ti try your recipe which looked quite easy...the trick was to get the sugar syrup right...the laddoo has to be set, moist,hard enough, non crumbly all at the same time...the sugar quantity was perfect, cardomom was coming but not overpowering...thanks a lot for sharing...very happy with my outcome...I got 18 laddoos from the measurement you have given...used cup measures...
