Love is in the air. When it comes to a compressor, my recommendation for newbie overlanders is a high volume portable compressor. There are a couple choices in the $150 range. I can inflate 35’s from 15 to 39 in 10 min plus a couple of minutes on either side to set up and put away. About the same time as your ARB setup.
So are you happy with the diesel Gladiator? Any issues at all? Just wondering is all. I'm on fence about if i should go with diesel or gas. Great video.
Had a portable compressor that took me over ten minutes to air up one tire. I recently upgraded to the kraken and arb and I love it. Ran it today just to get it set up and it aired my 35’s up from about 16-20 psi to 32 in less than five mins. Yes it isn’t cheap but you get what you pay for and having on board air is worth it to me.
While I know it is a great system and works as you say (have many friends with them) it is totally not worth the cost for the slight time it saves you in my opinion. I'll take my $250 system and slightly more time and put the money saved towards other stuff needed.
Justin by far you best infomercial. I'm usually annoyed by channels pushing products, but I sincerely liked this one. You did a great job on this one. You knew the product and were very informative and it's a great product. The Epic Kraken system seems to be a fantastic solution to mounting and using the twin ARB. I've tried several mounting solutions too. Thanks, from a fellow Gladiator diesel w/ 37's and TeraFlex wheels owner.
Love is in the air. Justin, a question. Do you have any tried and true or good methods for finding people to adventure with? I've been having a hard time convincing my friends to risk wasting a day to go and explore new trails or make maps. I've got some dozen points in the Uinta's that over the last two years I've been DYING to explore and map, but I struggle to convince the people I know to go often enough. The waypoints are building faster than I can cross them off. I'm wondering if you have any advice, especially in Utah, of where to find groups to adventure with?
Love is in the air ! While I do not currently own a Jeep, more of a ZR2 type of guy, if I win, a buddy of mine who has a Jeep Rubicon, will have a nice surprise and I will help him install it.
I sold my 2020 power wagon a month or so ago. I bought my first ever jeep last week. FIrst mods have included a key hole cover, a pillar mounts, and a cargo area mat. I got a plastic bumper on my $70k jeep... so now I'm looking for a steel front bumper. Limited selections for full width, recessed winch mounted full width bumpers. I was going to put my compressor under the hood like you mentioned but now am reconsidering. Not sure I like the idea of a compressor inside the car though.
Love is in the air……Great video. This system is awesome. Starting to build my Gladiator and this would be a great beginning to win this package. Keep up the great vids. ✌️
Like you I did the sound deadening project first now that that is just about done I’ll be installing the Kraken system. Got the pressure control module excited for that
Love is in the air! Great video and it looks like a great product. Shame the competition isn’t open to us Aussie Jeepers - the $650 would have been handy for the postage 😂. You’ve convinced me to get one though so appreciate your time putting this together.
I have the AAL air compressor bracket for the Wrangler cargo area but I also have their storage platform which allows better heat dissipation than the stock rear cargo area flooring. So far so good but we will see if I run into the same overheating problem.
That AEV fromt bumper is no joke for installing. I installed the EX ($$$$) with Superwinch SX10SR ($$$) on my 2015 JKU. I dread when replacing my fog lamps has to happen. I opted for the KC 6" Daylights ($$) in lieu of the AEV LEDs ($$$$). All this on an AEV 2.5" Sport lift with Bilstein shocks, JKS Track bars and quick disconnect sway bar links. For airing up I use a Rigid 18v pump from Home Depot. Just set the pressure and walk away, repeat. May have to look into a similar compressor system when I upgrade to 35's.
Love is in the air. I enjoy watching your channel and have learned a lot. Currently, I have a twin ARB inflator installed in the rear tub of a Jeep jlu. Will I need to get new parts for ARB (like a new harness or other small parts) or get a new inflator in order to move the system to under the seat? The Kraken looks like a great system.
I have issues with my relay switch constantly clicking as it is searching for air pressure. It was recommended by ARB to install a tank typically used for air lockers because the base system doesn’t hold enough air. Have you or any of your buddies had this issue?
With the Bluetooth module? Mine will occasionally turn off and click back on as it gets close to my desired pressure. That’s the only thing I can think of.
@@JustinBMcBride yes, once I installed the Bluetooth module the relay continually clicks unless I pressure it up. According to ARB it is looking for air pressure but the onboard tanks are small. If I pressure it up it stays quiet but eventually the system bleeds off the air pressure and starts clicking again. I checked all my wiring several times and nothing appears wrong. The instructions by Epic were spot on and great.
Love is in the Air ;-) I buy it at the BlackFriday sale I really love it :-) and it was a nice infomercial lol you are better then ChamWOW guy lol Have a good day
Love is in the air. Since you have built some pretty good outlanders, do you have a consulting service that can help/guide new people build their jeep/bronco? Great video BTW.
I have my private discord that is open to my UA-cam Channel Members. In there I have a “gear” topic where we talk about things like that. geni.us/jointhechannel
Thank You, Justin... just curious about your comparisons. It makes sense. One point of interest I was curious about was the ride quality in a Bronco vs Jeep without a lot of mods to either. From an everyday driver's perspective.
@@samtilton7714 IFS will always be more comfortable on road, so the Bronco wins that. Although the wheelbase of the Gladiator helps. The Bronco was MUCH louder. I hated how loud that thing was on the road. The Gladiator is easier to modify, and works better with the mods. The Bronco lost a lot of the qualities that made it great. I wasn’t allowed to upgrade the suspension as a Bronco ambassador, so that opinion has an asterisk.
Thank you again, Justin... I appreciate your response. I have always enjoyed your videos and as a native of Utah, it's nice to see your perspective and trail activities that show Utah and the endless amount of trails that we have here. Most insightful was the noise factor you mentioned on the Bronco. That really surprised me, as Ford has always seemed to do well in dampening the noise in their vehicles. Thank you for making enjoyable, informative, and instructive content. I have found your presentations easy, calm, and well thought out. Take care, and hope to see you on the trails one day.
For the love of God don’t get 35 inch mud tires like mine came with I had to to get them off 1500 bucks for 5 33 inch all terrain tires worth every penny Get camping gear a power bank to jump and charge truck and electronic equipment batteries and get a air compressor nice first aid kit cooler, tow hitch and hitch cargo rack some cargo rack somewhere Get a dash camera front and rear I get just as much hate as I do love on the road I swear I love driving 50mph everywhere except the interstate but people hate that for some reason
That’s it! Thanks! It’s been a while since I had to replace it - I sold that compressor with my last Jeep. I’ve done it so many times that I ended up buying them in bulk. Cheers.
C'mon man a newbie adding a very expensive compressor and fill kit, this is just an add for epic. Tired of everyone selling out for a free fridge or inflation system or lift kit or power station. First thing a newbie should get, maybe some recovery equipment, sat safety radio. Don't be such a sellout.
I said mod. A kinetic rope and satellite communicator are not mods. And yes. Buy once cry once - $70 jeeps aren’t budget vehicles, you’re assuming a beginner isn’t ready to invest in proper equipment for their adventures. C’mon man, you didn’t even watch the whole video. I say in the video that all of UA-cam is one giant commercial and this video is no different. It’s comments like this that I don’t understand. If you feel so strongly about something, make your own video rather than dropping in here and leaving a comment thinking you’re some white knight for the industry.

Less time inflating makes for more time chatting with everyone else who are still inflating.

Love is in the air....
So is 37psi your normal everyday air pressure?
Yeah, for these Falken RTs it is.
@@JustinBMcBride thanks, I'm still experimenting and trying to find the pressure I'm happiest with. I'm running Toyo open country at3 though.
Is there a place to put arb manifold next to compressor. Thanks
love is in the air Make sure you put tire in your air before going on the road
So, you have to have the doors open while inflating. Is that ever a problem during bad weather? I would still rather have an external air port.
You can lightly close the doors on the hoses. I’ve been in torrential downpours and 50mph winds and done just fine.
It's always in pack out that a zipper doesn't want to cooperate.
Thanks for the video!
My first mod was tinted windows

love is in the air...how does the Kraken system install work with the new power front seats in the 2024 Rubicon X model? thanks,
That video is in my description. The Epic boys have it working with the Power Seats.
Does it make a big difference airing up like this when you're on a slant? Will half the tires be a different PSI or something?
It may be an old wive’s tale but I’ve always been told to air up on as level ground as possible. Maybe I’ll do a video testing it next.
I have the kraken system too and I haven't noticed it being an issue, but I also don't run TPMS sensors so now I'm not sure...@@JustinBMcBride
