Tadej Pogačar should have that Scarface poster for his publicity shots and profile pics. The devil might look scary to some, but imagine how it would feel to be racing your heart out up a 10% incline at 7000 feet and look back and see that Pogačar smile right behind you.
There are many things that make the Tour de France the greatest sporting event in history, but the one that stands out the most is its complexity. There are so many things going on that combine to produce the final results, and most of them are not obvious.
When Lance won his stage in 1995, not only was Johan in the same break, but Ekimov was in the same break too, he finished 3rd. Lance won the stage by about 30 seconds.
I'D LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO POINT OUT THAT WHEN I WAS RACING, I DIDN'T HAVE TO CHEAT TO WIN MY RACES. I WON SPRINTS, TIME TRIALS (SET NEW COURSE RECORD) ALL BY JUST TRAINING AND GIVING IT MY ALL.
You would have finished dead last in every TDF stage Lance Armstrong every raced, unless you doped right along with everyone else. And even with doping, you still would have finished near the bottom.
@@driver9337 That's fine with me as I've a goodly amount of self respect and for anyone else who does their honest best. Lance DIDN'T win any TDF; he just fakes it until he got caught. F'n LOSER. He cheated cycling, cheated his wife and cheated his children. He is as insignificant as one could be.
Probably the version of the real Cav we've all seen through out the years. He was humbled at first just to be back and then to win, but now, well he's past the times of being thankful..
They say Pogacar and Bernal are gonna compete in Vuelta, how big would be this shorter recovery time between TDF and Vuelta kinda disadvantage for Pogacar ?
My beef with the e bikes is that they give speed to those that have no idea about cycling manners at slow speed, much less, how to handle that speed. People should earn their speed. Just wait till one of them wipes out in front of you - and you thought the surprise U-turn was bad.
Question: you guys were discussing the olympics yesterday.. how does team strategy work in those races, as well as world champs? All of these guys race 90% together on a pro team and then a few times a year are pitted against each other in international events. Will riders work for team members from another country, knowing their success might be the pro teams success? Or do racers work solely for their country? Love the show!! Kyle from the Bay Area.
Becomes a better person? Mabey I mis understand you but Lance always was a good person. Look what this man accomplished with his foundation Livestrong.
LA is a competitor and the Greatest Champion of the Tour de France hands down. The GOOD he did for thousands outweigh any "cheating" which the whole peloton was doing.
Lance copped a lot of personal attacks during the USADA scandal, and I mean a LOT. In my view the worst of those attacks went for him at a mental health issue - suggesting he had some really serious personality disorders etc etc. Well, I'm watching the banter and the friendship on display here between LA nd GH (the snoring stuff was very funny) and in my personal experience, "well balanced grounded" guys like George usually don't have life long warm friendships with people who have serious personality disorders.
School name in Spanish - which it is very likely to have originated in Spain. Nuestra señora del perpetuo socorro. I would translate "succor" instead of "help"
@Unexpected Item yeah. That was rough. LA though….I forgive….he changed the lives of many for the better including me and my family. Totally inspired a healthy lifestyle…and i wonder how many of the other riders were part of the mafia….I’d like to know clearly who was clean and who not and to see the win awarded to the best clean guy.
The LAST thing Lance needs is a GoFundMe for anything.... Of course if he wants to GoFundMe for a motorcycle trip following the Tour..... Yeah I'm up for that!
Like another human being, Lance is not perfect, but the gest he did with Jan Ullrich was something because he knew very well what Jan was suffering, in stuff like that only the person who has the same problem knows very well what was like, and he understands because he had the similar situation, it's like Lance said, other riders have done the right same things and the public still love them, and the guys who were caught or have decided to tell the truth are hated by the public, why? I mean if two riders who have so many years tryed to win, to beat one another, if one of them admits that he had used doping, it's clear that the other has to, the difference between them all those years was minimal so if only one was using doping the other almost ever had a chance to win when the doped one was riding !
The problem with LMVT is their press toward Keto. Ask LA how Keto works for real tour riders? If you are sub 3% BF and are Keto, f_ck. One thing from the advertisement from LMNT was if it tastes sweet you need salt. No, I have not checked that out, but it makes sense. The deal is solid and it rocks.
The UCI looks like the banks before the crash, the only thing that counts is the image they have to the public, even if a lot of things go bad, it's ok the important thing is that the general public doesn't know about it, the UCI is a bit like that, don't tell the media that this or that guy has a positive control on some banned substance, because if reaches the media the sponsors will stop the investment in cycling and the money is what really matters !
I have nothing against Cav. I understand marketing, especially in light of a pre-determined outcome (by what, 2 weeks?) We have to pump the sh_t up for ratingings. Cav was one of many great sprinters in the history of the tour. But, please, don't mention him in the same sentence as Eddie. AND, I bet a dime to a dollar Cav feels the same way. I hope Cav wins on Sunday. CONTEXT!
It's unfair what the french authorities are doing with the Bahrain victorious team, they are currently under investigation and it seems that the cause is that this team won some stages in the critérium du Dauphiné, and because of that some people thought that was suspicious and they opened an investigation ! OK 20 years ago everybody knows what was like, but now in pro cycling if you don't have proofs that you're legal, you are cheating ! People with responsibility should be very careful with some statements because in the social media a lot of people are accusing some riders and they haven't no proofs, it's not fair for the riders, they are in the biggest tour of the world and now and then people on the roads calling them ugly names, throwing stuff, etc, unfortunately there are a lot of people who thinks that if is in the social media must be real, when until now nobody showed proofs that some guys are cheating, just because their favourites riders aren't performing a good tour, is because the others are cheating, it is with stuff like that, the pro -cycling is not like some others sports !
Today's stage was metaphor for capitalism. The winner gets investigated by police raids, the chasers refused to work together to be successful, riders forgot or ignored the rules, and people are mad at the success of the dominating overall GC guy.
you learn a lot about a person as to how they treat people who work for them. If M.C. snapped at his manager like that I'd be impressed and sympathetic. His mechanic? Kind of hope he doesn't break the record.... can't keep it together for a bike race?
Disagree. Find time trials boring as hell as a viewing spectacle in which only a small handful of the peloton can win or give a rats. Also - the clip of Cav is not unusual as George made out. He's a total diva. I'm not sure Lefevre will want to see that. After 5 years in the wilderness and then being so gracious to be taken on, a few wins and he's back to having tantrums. Love Cav but my 3 year old son and teenage daughter don't act like that. Totally out of order. Drop the EGO.
Funny though that the guys once complicit in this shady world (to out it very mildly) brush over the Mohoric celebration as if its not a big deal - making out that he was provoked rather than him being a provocateur. The guy was an idiot and has brought a world of pain upon himself and his team. Even if they don't find anything, don't be surprised if they lose some sponsors!
Love how George gets LA off his all-about-me story and gets it back on today’s race.
Thank goodness for George! He’s the only reason I’m here.
This show is great, you guys all deliver....thank youuuu!!!
Tadej Pogačar should have that Scarface poster for his publicity shots and profile pics. The devil might look scary to some, but imagine how it would feel to be racing your heart out up a 10% incline at 7000 feet and look back and see that Pogačar smile right behind you.
Maybe Pogacar was like Sakamichi singing "HIME HIME"

Hes dodgy mate
Can you guys do some more blue train stuff after the tour if possible, many thanks from england
There are many things that make the Tour de France the greatest sporting event in history, but the one that stands out the most is its complexity. There are so many things going on that combine to produce the final results, and most of them are not obvious.
Can we just keep these going even when the TDF finishes? Go on Lance your new Buddhist self will appreciate the joy you will give to the rest of us!
Is Lance a Buddhist convert?
Alain is an awesome feature of the show by the way
The sleep clip had Lance 😂😂😂😂 Love the show, going to miss in studio shows🥺Love from South Africa
Hey lance.. I still yell “Paul Sherwin!!!” FTW when upping overpasses, haven’t forgot about that, RIP.
Wow! The great LA blushes on youtube. Never thought I'd see him being so sensitive. Great tour shows guys, blushing or not, you're still the best!
Thanks guys for the last 3 weeks, I always hate the last Friday because the tour finishes Sunday
There is no way you guys are not talking about the celebration at the end right?
@Unexpected Item How are the French not to blame here lol
Shoot, I was also curious about this, i.e. Mohoric pulling a Lance. A shout out to Simeoni would have been elegant way to address this stupid act.
Don't ever stop doing these. It's like being with friends.
Yes I feel the same, just good friends
George laughing at Lance's snoring - brilliant. Great show guys.
Watching old tours with team TTs. I know that they want to limit the advantage of the strongest teams, but damn Team TTs are good spectating.
Agree: prologue & TT are institutions which should be automatically in every GT
When Lance won his stage in 1995, not only was Johan in the same break, but Ekimov was in the same break too, he finished 3rd. Lance won the stage by about 30 seconds.
Love the TTT, It is tough. Cycling is a Team sport. I think helps with the team bonding!!
Lance snoring is priceless!
Perpetual help! lol… that was revenge for the snoring audio 🤣 best show ever.

You Guys rock. Lance and George make me miss my Best friend back home in SF. Oh Hello from Sydney Australia
Probably the version of the real Cav we've all seen through out the years. He was humbled at first just to be back and then to win, but now, well he's past the times of being thankful..
Cavendish is a jerk. But so are most great and highly successful athletes.
They say Pogacar and Bernal are gonna compete in Vuelta, how big would be this shorter recovery time between TDF and Vuelta kinda disadvantage for Pogacar ?
you guys were spot-on with TT predictions. WVA!!!!
I’m here for the GOAT

Thanks lads awesome show!!!
Those glasses are COOL!!!😎
They look GOOD,
on all ya all!!😁
Happy Friday!!🌠🌌⭐
Love the clips😊 haha, lol
That was fun with Johan😊
Go George!!!!⭐
Thank you gentlemen. Ride the pass to the level of your smile.
Lance did you tell Johan in 1995 'I'll see you in the dueches " ?

Funny & entertaining show today, loved it!
That zip the lip celebration warmed the heart!
We miss you lance!!! LE BOSS!
That Cavendish tantrum lost me, no excuses, you're a professional representing people and a team, behave like it
Great show guys all good stuff... learned a lot
Lance 3.0, dog comforter. I love these interactions from real legends.
... it didn’t seem as though froome and thomas were riding for GC... so what was the point of them being there... ?
Hi guys, love your show. I cannot find JB 2 podcast anywhere on UA-cam or the Web. You guys refer to it on the show.
It is audio only. Apple, Spotify, Amazon and the like
Omerta 🤫🤐
Great episode men.
Lance, when you did 🤐 why was that again?
Those are bad ass shades. 😎
Exactly Lance, get on the road. I hate those e-bikes...Lazy!!!
give the glasses to george,,,jajajajaj......its his turn!!!!

"23 Days in July" UA-cam, because it's a rainy day here. 1983 TTT was 100km on conventional road bikes - bring it back!

Yup, straight from Jasper Stuyven, probably the strongest guy Trek

@@joejones4181 indeed, the best is discussed. There are more good riders in history and he is there with them on the top
Good to see growth in a human especially past 30
@@mpvd78 You are correct sir, SO many great riders!
Lance, do a sleep Apnea test, if you care about sleep quality cpap will change your life and Anna's. I was very resistant but was a fool, trust me.
Hell I'd be mad as well if I had been riding around in a hectic race like that with a loose headset or the stem and steerer not done up properly.

No boss in the chase group to get the guys to work together to even give themselves a fighting chance to catch Mohorič.
great show thx and keep it up
In India there is school name Our Lady of Perpetual Succor - and Succor means helping hand, assistance
OMGosh thank George. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. Toooo fucking funny!!
Eddie slipped Cav a Big Check when they hugged before The Stage jk lol

Nuestra señora del perpetuo socorro.

Lance needs a CPAP machine.
