Mr Dactyl you never cease to amaze with your phenomenally wide skill set. However your greatest accomplishment (along w their mom i'm sure) is the great job you did raising your sons. They are very fine & super talented young men. I always look forward to Sunday when i can visit with y'all.

Great video, cool machine for sure. Too bad the trans broke, but that'll be a great video for sure on the repair!
Oh btw, don't ever stop with the sound effects like the seals, springs, etc... No matter how many times I hear em, I always get a laugh and that's all that matters!

I think they were called "saddle shoes". Taryl have you watched Roadking? He does some really good seat cover work with a sewing machine. His latest series about rebuilding an old f-100. You and Mustie with the donuts! Enjoyed watching, keep up the good work. Thanks!!

    Ya'll Paw?
Where's that other can of polish?
    It's on order Paw. Why?
I have to polish the Trans NOW! HaHaHAHAHA
    Awesome video Mr. Betsy Ross!
You can make your own Bead if need to. They sell the round bead at a sewing center and Singer make a special sewing foot to make you own bead. I have always make my own. My mom thought me how many many years ago. Back when I was in school guys tool sewing class... Lol I use to help my Aunt upholstery furniture when I was younger... 🙂
    Thanks for the video!

Taryl, I love the fact that you are in to stainless, but the stainless diamond plate on the bottom needs to be switched out to polished and you need a pair on the back. Same deal diamond plate is ok on the top polished on the bottom weight. You save that DP for another project or you can send it to me! I'll find a place for it! Keep the shiny side up. 👍👍

You can use a led for your fuel sensor but you have to add resistor across the led to increase the current.

    • @amandagardner565
      @amandagardner565 2 роки тому

the resistor is to limit the current, a typical LED only needs 20 milliamps, no resistor would burn out the LED.

a 600 ohm resistor on 12 volts will give 20mA, closest values would be 560 Ohm giving roughly 21mA

I’m surprised the Hauler doesn’t have a regular manual clutch like the old Cushmans from that era did. The place I used to work had a late 90’s 4 wheeled Cushman with a dump bed and it had a 5 speed manual trans…that thing would really fly for what it was, it did over 40mph.

You should look up Ackerman steering, where the inside wheel turns a bit more than the outside, so the verticals of the f.wheels intersect at the center of the circle you are turning, otherwise you are forcing the inside tire to slip and fight the outer tire. It has to do with going from linear to radial motion of steering rack and arms' angles. Also give it a little toe in to take up any slack that makes steering unstable.

The Heald would make a great firewood hauler if I had timberland. I agree with the decision to keep the paint patina on the front. You can easily computer match touch up paint, and if t HF e Heald decal logo is original, it's a good idea to save it. It looks like new. Great save on a cool all -American vehicle.

Custom vinyl pan seat cushion covers, can coozie, and house slippers for slippers could be projects to try. Outdoor channels have done gearbags, machete sheaths, tool rolls. Made with quality, reinforced where needed, isnt found in most mass made products anymore.
