No lie for sure
You sure this isn't Jesus?
Amazing to see Curtis on your show. Amazing g work guys.
I appreciate the comments about the necessity of museums correctly protecting and showcasing exhibits… many have had to return pieces to the country of origin and use replicas instead
Watching this chaps genuine enthusiasm while he shares knowledge, is a joy…
I see what you did there with the thumbnail but it got my attention, he's a gorgeous man
Really enjoyed this. So informative. It's fascinating information! ❤
Most importantly he is a knowledgeable Egyptologist. He is indeed a gorgeous man.
I do wish he wouldn't mix up the difference between Woman and Women.
Love anything with Curtis. He’s the real deal for knowledge 💜🇬🇧
6:56 the host is so incredibly gorgeous. I hope we see more of him. I definitely want to meet him in person.
He looks like a girl with a beard.
I totally agree so handsome
Very interesting and well explained.

*Stolen .. You mean stolen...
You’re so amazing! I just love your work and all the effort and love you put into it so we can learn and enjoy your fantastic documentaries. Thanks a lot!!🙏🏻❤👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
interesting
Yes queen
I'd let this man talk about anything cough
He has his own you tube channel
Because they were stolen.
The title should be, "Forgotten Treasures... Down Below". 😉
Perhaps they should return them just like the UK is being pressured to do.
There is an Egyptian obelisk in Central Park in NYC as well, it's one of two, the other being in London. It was a gift from Egypt to the UK, and then the British gave the other to an American to put in New York. Zahi Hawass, former antiquities minister and corrupt criminal, has tried to claim that the city of New York doesn't take care of the monument carefully and that he needs to come inspect it or some kind of crap. He's just looking for a pay day, like one of Ali Baba's thieves.
So that explains the Assassins Creed orgins and Assassins Creed 2 Connection...
It's wild to me. The host is objectively one of the driest, careful way. He doesn't use a ton of subjective adjectives, he never throws in asides or quips or much informal language.
I like him a lot! I'm not complaining in the slightest. I'm trying to figure out where the host's sexual orientation got in the way of delivering a solid, thoughtful, engaging information in a grounded way without doing the tv host song and dance.
slay
Why? Because if they had stayed in Egypt they would have been destroyed and no one would have known they had existed at all.
Yeah if they had not been taken they would have been stolen or razed like Herrods tomb
Oh, if only it had been like that! The noble Western millionaires and their museums had saved the irreplaceable goods for posterity. Unfortunately, this was (almost) never the case and the donors for the looting of the tombs came from Europe. The goods that were on the black market were senselessly bought together and trimmed to fit, they were too bulky for transportation. No no, your argument sounds noble, but has very little in common with reality
Yeah, because people go to a lot of effort to steal valuable things just to destroy them! (If treasure hunting, throughout history, can even be considered theft- unless by, say, a colonial power that systematically exports a culture's heritage to... make paint, patent medicines, entertain parties, and fertilize their gardens with dead bodies!)
@@fernandoPessoa8
Thank you. I have a painting with whit is thought to be 'mummy brown' paint in it... and what about the unwrappingbparties? And fertilizer?
Your perspective is welcome in the generally reactionary defense of colonialist transgressions in this comment thread!
Agreed but it should all be returned.
Jesus lives
Shame on those museums not to allow peoplle lol over the world to watch those artifacts online
Ahhhh ha ! You’re Fanny’s little friend from LaLande. Tisk tisk….. you need take care with whom you associate least their reputations rub off on you as well. You seem to know that of which you profess to be an historian so kudos to you.
Who the hell is the host
I think she won eurovision song contest lol
He is an Egyptologist..😉 Look up his name on Google. Curtis Ryan Woodside.
Curtis Ryan Woodside
Eww. Unsub
As if anyone cared. Bye bigot!
Wow gay Jesus historian? Nope that be blasphemy.
...And a poster that thinks that they know better than Jesus... that'd be blasphemy and HUBRIS.... and homophobic intolerance, and unwelcome in polite society, and arrogant, hateful, unchristian, bigoted, atavistic, trogloditic nonsense, etc...
(And a floundering, embarrassing, terrible examplar of grammar and punctuation)
The audio on this video is horrific, like almost unwatchably so! Also... haircuts exist, just saying.
Why why why would u have this man be the narrator? I can't take him seriously
Sounds like a you problem.
He is an Egyptologist. So he has every right to host this episode. Look up his name on Google. Curtis Woodside. So you should take him seriously 😉😘
Imagine not being able to take in information unless it's spoonfed to you the way you like😅 lifelong suffering
I happen to love the documentaries this host does and am glad they are featured. To each their own.
Because it's Curtis Ryan Woodsides' work, and he has his own channel.
Sorry, this is far too gay for me.
So Egyptian were not African nor Arabic?
No they were & are even today Egyptians
brother, Egypt is in Africa
Yes African. Arabs came into Egypt later, so modern day Egyptians have Arab blood mixture happed when they entered Egypt later. Nubians, for instance were in southern Egypt and Sudan (darker Egyptians). The people in the north were Berbers (found throughout Northern Africa) They definitely traveled and there were mixing happening with Greeks, other African groups, and other Europeans and middle eastern groups, thanks to trade.
@@TiemposDePaz maybe they were mixed race, but with more of black African traits. Their skin tone should be tanned color??
Um no? They have literally done DNA tests on ancient mummy's and they are most closely related to people from the Levant and have remained consistent despite the changes to to the ruling powers. They were, and still are, Arabs.
