You may want to go into the difficulty settings and turn on Mass/Volume. These settings restrict inventory and ship sizes (can be upgraded) making the game more challenging and thought provoking.
I've been addicted to this game for a few weeks now. Over 200 hours so far. Loving the complexity of the game and building is only limited to your imagination.
I bought this game the day it came out, several years ago. I can tell you, you have barely scratched the surface of this gem. Definitely keep going... and enjoy!
Last time I checked, I thought this was a multiplayer game. I watch a lot of it from Spanj's channel. The building aspect of this game is amazing. It has ship building which was something I always wanted No Man's Sky to have. Like the ability to build your own freighter or a slightly larger ship that you could walk around in the interior.
About rocks: gray-blue rocks have iron gray-browny/red have copper fray-white have silicon gray only have stone crushed stone can be changed into ores - iron/copper/silicon Badages can heal you but remember to have some of them to stop for ex. broken bones. Remember to always have food in eq or vessel nearby. Remember to have meds for all wounds - best when you go on story mission is to have at least 2 in eq. or vessel nearby or have med stations in nearby vessel.
I have over 3k hours in this game I love it, it does have a steep learning curve though. Everything you see in game can be built by player. There are many MP servers, I am on Spanj's server now with the Reforged Eden mod..best not try that mod until you have a few hundred hours in game tho it's kinda tough (UNDERSTATEMENT). Love to see you figuring it out keep it up!
I love watching first time players on this discover how massively complex it can get. Vanilla is fun and easy, for a better challenge with excellent rewards, install the Reforged Eden mod.
9:25 yes iron would be a brownish material as oxidized iron is rusted. Whereas oxidized copper would be a blue/green color. But that's just our galaxy, where your at the colors are reversed and the developers (with plenty of time to change it) have no plans of fixing the error. So iron is blue/green and copper is red/brown.
Again, and i have posted this on your videos before, do not rush! You had the bandages sitting there on your hot bar, but you where in such a rush that you misse it for a long time. Love the series and i am looking forward to many more episodes. :)
You can build almost everything you see. Focus on getting a basic base in using F2-key (factory); you can spawn in a basic base once you have the mats. NPCs will not protect you from other NPCs; not sure if this will change in v1.3 but I have hopes. Once you are comfortable with the basic game mechanics, I would recommend delving into the Reforged Eden Scenario from the workshop (adds in a ton of content and a more satisfying progression + endgame). Glad to see you playing this. :-)
I played a few years ago (probably an alpha) and the game has changed quite a lot. That last compound where you respawned is completely new to me, as well as the early guidance/missions. It's a fun game.
@@ddssrr1614 Exactly. as soo as you place the base block timer starts, and it is a question of days if I am not mistaken and there is an alert in red letters that your base is about to be attacked.
It will be an great series with an Empyrion there, cant wait to see the next episode. It is really easy to play, technically you have 3 basic materials for start it is iron, copper and silicon, you can build everything basic with those. Regarding level, just go around and gather any plant you see, it is the most efficient leveling up system in the game at the beginning, later on just find some Zirax and kill them. So, if you see something, just take it and put it in the constructor, sugestion about the base: When you set the base it will have higher chance for Zirax to attack you regarding how big is the base. Basically for the base to function you need to unlock some power source (I recommend generator and fuel tank) you need to put O2 tank (basically it is useless on that breathable planet) and put some cargo boxes and constructor, also dont forget fridge for food (it will spoil over time). And yeah, dont be afraid of those dinosaurs, they are ok, just watch for raptors at night and those slimy things near water, but you can kill them for meat and make some stakes :D Also, you don't need to reload, basicaly you can make new survival tool with (no resource needed) nothing and start over again, or just go there and collect staff. Don't forget to use your drone, hit F5 and use drone to collect your staff from distance, it have a range of approx 50 meters from you. Suggestion for base location, try to build it deep in the ground but dont forget to make it accesable, use the drone for digging (when you equip survival tool you can use it with your drone ) You will figure it out for sure :D
You can use something called the "Factory" I think it is F2? But you can build premade vehicles though the steam workshop. There are also preloaded ones. Hope you have fun!!
Welcome to empyrion! You can do the missions at anytime. The marker will remain there until you're ready. Unlock some weapons and get some equipment. Do not build a base until you have weapons!! Placing a base core unlocks drone attacks!
Wow they changed it a lot since the last time I played. It use to be that if you walk under the drones they can’t shoot you. Makes it easier to take them out, but I don’t think you had a gun.
One word of advice, build on or near water. There are machines that will automatically collect the water which you can then turn into oxygen, which you will need to get off planet. Also, be thoughtful with what tech you unlock and in what order. Better to have a few points Justin Case, then not have them when you find you need a particular block for your building (base, hover, small craft or large)
Yeah, it's like he had never played a game demo / tutorial before. - If it sounds/looks dangerous, it probably is. - Don't let your vehicle behind when there could be thieves. - If an objective is out of reach (e.g. high up), scout the surroundings to find your way in. - If the game tells you to return to point X, better do so, even more so if you're utterly clueless. 24:00 Really, if he had returned to the teleport station, that would have taken less time than his incoherent ramblings. - Again, if it sounds/looks dangerous, it probably is. Attacking "minigun drones" with the future equivalent of a Swiss army knife? FAIL. Two at the same time, without any surprise advantage? Double fail. - "This place is AMAZING!" Only at first sight. Better a life in the wilderness with an omnitool, a motorbike, and 15 units of ore to my name than in the big base with nothing but a raptor on my tail, and basesec slacking off. And the graphics aren't THAT far behind. Even if they were, fun is what counts, and this game looks like lots of fun.
The Dart has no core, so there's no panel to open. If you craft a core, you can place it and then open the panel. It used to be part of a tutorial on building ships.

Love your vids man, empyrion is an amazing game 1500 hrs banked for myself, you can do a full series on the regular survival, then you can look at doing a scenario, redorged eden is one of the best. Full rework of the game and you would have so much fun!!!
One mode i would like in games like this as well as Space Engineers and No Man Sky WOULD BE AN INVERSE OF THE FREEDOM MODE that this game has where a player has infinite resources, but still has to manage their survival, health, food, hunger shields etc. One aspect of these games that is discouraging is when YOU HAVE TO DO A LOT OF HUNTING AND MINING of resources just to build anything. However creative mode where you can build things can make the game "boring" except at least with this one it can be seen as a safe design lab to save builds in regular modes of the game. One of two options for infinite resources could require player to find the "ores" so once found it is infinite as it would be "unlocked" then a player can build the items like a recipe rather than just "clicking" the final product into existence. Alternatively unlock all the ores, and parts, but any "final product" has to be assembled like normal. in both cases a player could still die, or starve etc. So even if they have infinite food, they still have to manage things to "survive".

Ive been playing since day 1. This game is crazy good for what it is. I feel like it could use better funding and a larger dev team. It needs to be more polished out or something, like better animations. Still playable as is, just saying.
If you need help, check out Spanj and Jrandall. Also make sure CPU and weights and volumes is on, because they are necessary for proper gameplay experience.
I wish the F5 drone could be used to grant us control over multiple ships through F5 remote control or whatever you want to call it that would be great. Nothing worse than moving a fleet of ships 1 by 1. This is the one feature I wish they could implement from space engineers. Or better yet not having to take control and just ordering a ship to move with me in formation like in X4 foundations would be awesome. I just want to build my ships and order them to move and explore worlds. No game seems to want to give me that nirvana.
You can built everything you've seen and more. You defend, fight, explore , build ships and vehicles ....., BUT FOLLOW THE TURORIAL. If you don't do this, you will be lost and we will see your first good base and ship in episode 50.
You gotta love when a game is released, and their main AI is called Assistan. Clearly a lot of QA went into this? It looks cool enough though, keep playing!
Great Game been playing it for years. To rank up fast just pick plants, get ore do a little mining you will be making stuff fast and be able to protect yourself. That crashed ship is a lot of material to build with. To rank with factions just kill predators in their territory. make and sell stuff. when you get ranked and have some weps, do a few POI's sell to make credits. Watch a few vids, ck put the wiki, there's a whole galaxy out there to explore. do watch out for the spidies, and that big dino was friendly. And some raps are to, just not those raps. You will learn and have a Blast doing it. lol Watch a few Spnj Vids, and this game has a few master builders to get some tips from on building Hovers SV's and CV's or base building.
I would suggest you watch some of the other UA-camr play this games so as you know what to do. Tip pick every plant up as most provide food and ex, points. You need to make a shotgun before you meet giant spiders and Raptors . This is a very good game in my opinion .You can go in creative mode and make any sv, hv or cv just press the H key to get every think when you have made a ship save it and you can spawn it in a survival mode when you have all the Ingot etc .stay safe and Merry Christmas.
Also can a solo player save their designs on solo play, and in co-op bring the blue prints over to spawn? Do they have to regather resources from solo and co-op independently assuming the designs can be carried over. So if i have the resources to build my design on solo mode, do i have to regather the all over again in co-op mode?

You have to put a number to extract fuel. Put in 1000 and just press until empty.

drones wont attack the base unless you have a turret

theres underground resources you can mine , when you use your discover tool it says resources . you have to be within 300 metres to see what it is.

When you were on the UCH Dart. The ship has to have a core in it to see the panel. You can actually put one in and get it fly-worthy

You cant outright buy ships, but there's a blueprint menu that you can put resources in that will make ships and bases for you

As a few before have said, get used to it and then restart with reforged eden. ALOT more to do and ALOT better then original game.

Also can a solo player save their designs on solo play, and in co-op bring the blue prints over to spawn? Do they have to regather resources from solo and co-op independently assuming the designs can be carried over. So if i have the resources to build my design on solo mode, do i have to regather the all over again in co-op mode?
