Mario Odyssey in 2024: Does it Hold Up?

Mario Odyssey released in 2017 and since then i haven't gone back to revisit it much at all. So i decided to give the game another chance, does it hold up as one of the best 3d Mario Games?

I think 3D Mario needs different items to collect to progress the story, which could encourage exploration because you might find some sort of extra-power "Like the badges in Mario Wonder" which would upgrade Mario's move-set. Great video btw.

Odyssey always seemed to me as a game that's fun the first time you play through it and get 100%, but would ultimately be boring on returning playthroughs, so I'm pleasantly surprised to see that you enjoyed it! This makes me want to give it another shot sometime, but I'd definitely rather revisit the Galaxy games first lmao, those games are PEAK
Also the sunshine slander is unforgiveable. I am coming for you.

With the way nintendo designs their games gameplay first. I wouldn't be surprised if the next 3d Mario is even better in terms of movement

The game's really boring to me. Everytime I started up the game, I just grab enough moons and move on the next Kingdom(skipping most of the major objectives). Wasn't really a fan of Bowser's fight either.

The Bowser fights in this game feel much lower stakes than the one's in Galaxy i much prefer those.

I agree Mario Odyssey is boring in 2024 we need DLC
