Im.thinking if entering my 1st event, do i have to be a member of a club or can i enter online as individual or private entrant?@TheRunningHubCommunity
Well done sounds like you did really well and it went smoothly. Thank you so much for your video has helped my anxiety my 1st duathlon 25th April Kent.
If you are thinking about doing this alone its not DAUNTING. The people are very nice, just regular people having fun. If you dont have a friend to go with, dont let that stop you. :)
Fair play to you. I can see why in Triathlons and IronMans you run after the bike. But getting on a bike after a run must be absolute hardship. TMI i know but my arse would be in ribbons.
Hi Katie! great job! I'm doing my first duathlon next weekend. Its 1 mile run, 11 mile ride, and a 1 mile run. Can I use a hybrid bike for the race? it s fairly flat. I don't have bike shoes. was planning to wear sneakers throughout the race.
Is there anywhere there does runs/ small to medium-sized events that is all flat, I would struggle with hills and I am overweight - any help appreciated. does footwear make a difference
Unfortunately I’m not too sure on that.. you’d have to do a bit of research. I know there’s an event at Dorney Lake near Windsor, that’s a flat one. But it all depends where you’re based?
hey, it is my first duathlon this Sunday, this has helped so much and given me more confidence!! so thanks so much :))
You’re more than welcome - and good luck!!

Actually, it’s harder running after the bike!! 😂
A gel padded seat apparently is good and getting some padded shorts too helps.
Brick sessions help or even doing a mini duathlon on or your own when rules allow.
I am hoping to do one this year. How do you think you could improve? What is your standard 5k time? How long did it take to finish
