I use a wet erase marker (an overhead marker pen) on those dry erase dice. It doesn't come off unless their hands are wet, until you take it off with a baby wipe or damp paper towel. :)
I am still doing centers but in stead of them rotating around the room they will rotate what they are doing at their seats. So they will have like 3 tasks to do then they can get on their chromebooks and listen/read an online book & play a game while I pull one scholar as needed for guided reading & math. I will still be doing write the room but will place the cards where they can see from their seats!
Great ideas, that's sort of how I pictured centers working. I'm sure I'll have to create a list for that but hopefully next week we will have some more clarity on our schedules. Thanks for watching!
Your guided reading can be on a Google Meet. They stay at their desk. Blue group log on for 15 min. then Red group log in. The rest of class works with software, on-line center or have their own supply in gallon zip-lock bags ( Alphabets tiles, sight word flash cards, etc..) Also good ide for math manipulatives.
Sharpie on the letter blocks, then you can erase later. I do flexible seating too and I was thinking about putting vinyl on my crate seats so they could be wiped down. I’m in WA state and we can’t get back to our rooms until mid August. We start 9/1. My school is k-2, we’re hoping to have our kids everyday for a shorter amount of time, due to kids wearing masks all day and no specials, plus all meals in the classroom. So teachers wouldn’t really have prep or breaks... it’ll be interesting for sure. This is my 16 year, but with all the unknowns I feel so stressed.

Florida cases are so high right now with around 10,000 a day. It's scary. Problem is we don't get any sort of pay over the summer so teachers are hurting and if we delay start date that means we go another 2 months with no pay. For the blocks, are you using dry erase or wet erase markers? Wet erase should work. Otherwise sharpies, using dry erase markers to clean them off after being used. I'd love to find those!

Or you could use a wet-erase marker! Probably only during guided reading bc they would easily erase that at an independent center.
Yes sharpie on the blocks and the dry erase markers erase it. Also wet erase markers works well too.

You need the Vis a Vis marker that will not erase. You have to wipe with wet towel.
