Slayer/Rachel or Val: the similarity was either the role or the way they fight only while the style was completely different. Slayer was a heavy ass damage dealer and a dodge and counter heavy thanks to dandy step. Surprisingly, he got the highest damage output of the GG cast (even more than Potempkin) Arakune/Testament: had a similar cursed style but Testament was more of a trap and cursed style. Tsubaki/Order Sol: their Charging style but OS was more power heavy and more into punish.
Obviously, he got bored. Though, I don't think he can ever really leave the Swag Dimension. The Swag Dimension is always centered on Slayer, it goes where he does.
I started recently playing Guilty Gear X2 for the first time and not being all that impressed with most of the music. Most of them(aside from Millia, May, and Ky's theme, which were the very reason I started finally playing the games) just felt like generic rock tunes to me... But then I heard this song while Slayer was kicking my ass and making me look like a chump in Arcade Mode. For whatever reason, It lit a spark in me and woke me the hell up. Later, I started to pay attention to the ost of the game and realized how legendary all of it is. This song has a lot of meaning to me now and made me a X2 fan.
Yeah, even if a lot of the songs in the game could come off as generic, most if not all of them fit their characters very well and have a unique flare to them that makes them memorable to me.
Also, I'd have to say that Gold Slayer is the strongest character in the game. He does a lot of damage and recovers health according to it, making him almost impossible to kill unless you're using gold Sol or an instant kill. Gold Justice might work too.
If you look closely and pause the frames a few times, one of Slayer's BLOCKING ANIMATIONS is a thumbs up sign and the satan horns sign. He's just that awesome.
This plays everytime my lil brother thinks he have a chance of winning against me in Street Fighter, it played when i used to think i had a chance against my cousin in Tekken, and always play when anyone think they have a chance against my uncle in Mortal Kombat.
I always found Slayer harder than the final boss and when you (finally) beat him you feel like you accomplished nothing because he just lays like "*sigh*, I tire of this altercation..." XD
Slayer is like the Iori Yagami of Guilty Gear, both characters are extremely powerful and cool! Not to mention they both have a professional sax player to play each of their themes, respectably!
