Very helpful! Just starting to play the Upright at school. I'd love if you would make more videos regarding things you've learned or tips you have. Actually any video about the upright bass. I really like your style of playing and would love for more content!
Hey Heath, Thanks for these videos, they're awesome and really helping me out a lot. I hope to see more in the future. Keep up the hard work! from Australia
The king of the drag triplet has to be Willie Dixon, who was the backbone of chuck berry's early more rockabilly sounding hits like "you can't catch me".to hear a healthy solo where he does the most ridiculous drag triplets, check out on youtube for a tune called "we're gonna rock", featuring Willie Dixon on bass, Memphis Slim on piano, and a very young Chuck Berry on guitar. Otherwise just search for any live Willie Dixon soloing.
Hey Heath, nice lessons. I would like to know something more about your setup, it looks so easy when you slap that bass. I started playing double bass in 2014 and I still have a problem with my G string. Sometimes, when I try to slap that string, it doesn´t work. I lowered the space of the string, but now I have problems to get my fingers under it ;-) Greetings from Germany
Whatever the topic someone give a 👎Warm sunny day...👎 Cold day with snow so I can go skiing 👎 Wife gave birth to a girl 👎 Wife gave birth to a boy 👎 My food order came out quick, correct, and hot!!! 👎👎👎
Honestly just watching you break it down helps a lot even without a super detailed explanation. Thanks!
Super duper cool man thanks for sharing the skills!
Thanks for unlocking the RH mystery of palm bump with slap to get a triplet sound!
I hear you! sometimes you just gotta take your brain out. I used to tour with a blues man who would say: "if your thinking, you're stinking"
You're awesome. Thank you for this instruction.

how much was your bass ? I'm planning on getting one
I got a very good price on mine. I was just in the right place at the right time. A decent upright is gonna cost at least $1200 or more.
