My unpopular opinion is that athletes should 100% be allowed to use performance enhancing drugs. I wanna see a 650 ft home run, a 120 mph fastball, or an 80 yard field goal 😂😂
So? Given that they could already hit a baseball, more strength and just body weight would turn quite a few warning track fly outs into homeruns. That argument is just the business of baseball trying to stop the bleeding. No one who understands anything at all about hitting or even simple physics believes it.
@cade2saucy132 yeah? So if it's 350 at the corners, for a typically 45 homeruns per year hitter, how many fly outs happen from 325-345 feet? 75 or so a year? How many of those go 350+ on peds? 20-25? So it's not unreasonable that peds could help a very good homerun hitter hit 50% more homeruns a year. From 45 homeruns to 65-70 homeruns? Sounds like steroid era baseball to me.
@@cade2saucy132steroids can extend players careers. No way McGwire hits nearly 600 home runs clean. He would’ve been broken down by 35. He hit 70 home runs at age 34 which is ridiculous. Bonds hit 73 at age 36
@cade2saucy132 steroids not only make you stronger, but more durable, faster, more explosive. Leading to increased bat speed all trickling down to not only hitting furthur but an a lot better hitter
All of those players were doing great things for the game. Putting ashes in seats. The commissioner knew and did nothing but, enjoy every moment of what they did for baseball. Those players were just enhancing their skills. All belonged in the baseball HOF before that great for baseball and after. 👍👍
It’s not just about the added muscle and strength. It’s also about maintaining your stamina throughout the entire 162 games, which has to be extremely wearing on the body, even with some help from chemicals.
Lol well they seem to think Barry bonds would hit 210 without roids like this pos on the screen. Not alot of athletes who were good with roids were not that good without them. Bonds of course the great exception. It's like if Messi used some type of roids to make his kicks super powerful hitting curved 60 yarders 😂😂😂.
I almost caught a Mark McGwire home run when I was a kid and I was in the nosebleed section😂 that was the Golden Era But Ken Griffey Jr was all natural and was still competing with all the steroids
I remember in the 1980s throwing the shotput near the baseball practice field in high school and the ball players asking us putters why we used juice. We told them to don't knock it until you'd tried it.
If you took the steroids out of the steroids era, the big names like McGwire, Henderson, Bonds, Sosa would still be there, even many of the records would still be there. The only difference would be the huge numbers and stats they racked up. Henderson would still get his record, McGuire would of gotten close
Bonds shouldn’t just be a first ballot hall of famer. He should be considered the greatest baseball player of all time. If not the greatest athlete of all time. 7 mvps is crazy.
Honestly why not just throw the book out on this it’s more entertaining and ppl can only do it for so many years anyways and they make enough to cover any medical bills that may follow
@@Divin3ether not everyone looks enhanced on PEDs. You can run something like turinabol the day of a game, and nobody will know unless they test you. Lot of sports pros stick to orals with shorter half-life for that exact reason.
Bring that era back
It never left if you think those power hitters still ain't using steroids your very stupid
Yup.
Back? When did it leave? 😂
Lmaooo, that comment just made me a fan again! Thank u bro
There’s more and better steroids now than ever. You’re just clueless lmao
Most fun era of not just baseball, but ALL SPORTS
Imagine thinking baseball, at any point, was more fun to watch than football
@@Eggy79Maybe college I can agree but I could name so many eras of baseball that are more fun than NFL ball

ur high on steroids 😂
@@theCrusherboom 😂😂😂 It’s time to spice things up a bit
I get what you're saying but then you'll get minors on PEDs to "keep up" and "show scouts they have what it takes"
Not unpopular I totally agree, most do anyways haha
Should be mando
The best are in baseball.
BRING IT BACK!!!
LET THE BOYS JUICE!!
Haven’t watched a baseball game since Sosa and McGwire were going at it.
Imagine, watching those two and not Ken Griffey Jr. He was must watch TV during that same time frame and did it all clean.
Can we get Jose Canseco back too?
Steroids dont give you hand eye coordination and ball vision, but yeah, it might have been😂

So many good players regardless of the PED use.
Timer and all the extra BS ruined the derby for me. I dont bother watching it anymore. This was a legendary era.
That was one AMAZING summer.
Those were the best times. The home run derby’s were insane
Watching Bonds back then was the absolute best. What a menace
It’s not just about the added muscle and strength. It’s also about maintaining your stamina throughout the entire 162 games, which has to be extremely wearing on the body, even with some help from chemicals.
Yeah pretty much. Steroids give you stamina and excellent eye/concentration and faster recovery from injuries...
@TiagoGomez-hb9te agree with the recovery. Don't agree with the excellent eye... all pro hitters already has an excellent eye.
@scottharris9526 Steroids actually greatly emhamce hand/eye coordination and concentration. That's what most people don't know...

Baseball players are slightly more in shape than blue collar workers
I’m waiting for the All Drug Olympics
Snowboarding should be fun as hell to watch. A bunch of Rebagliatis out there tearing it up
Still in the steroids era. This version of it was waaaaay better
For the guys who used steroids and Major League Baseball, it was a very prosperous time.
Damn right that was when I was a young teenager good times!!!!
And look at Pedros numbers... 🐐
That's called roids.
It gives the extra strength to get it out of da park...BACK, BACK, BACK, BACK..OUT OF THERE!!
It says tomahawked not out of there lol
He really didn't need steroids he was that strong he can hit the ball farther than anyone else
Good days for sure
I love to see Aaron judge jacked up on steroids
Yes bring that era back
That was a great time to watch baseball
Bring it back :(
Big Mac was hitting homers before the roids. Had 49 his rookie season breaking Mickey mantles record.
It was the most fun to watch for sure

Marc McGuire Sammy Sosa and Barry Bonds the steroid kings

I say let them be at there max bring in a steroid leauge lol the amount of rage we would see every night 😂😂
At least for baseball we need that
ABSOLUTELY!
All I know is that I don’t miss Chris Berman
He didn’t even look like he tried to swing hard 😂😂😂
Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire
Ricky Henderson Mark McGuire Jose Canseco. Fun times😊
Samantha Sosa too!
Yes it was....
Looked like it bounced off someone's head 😂😂
Yes!! When gods and cocaine ruled!!!
Yes. Nuff said.
Everyone saying to bring that era back like it ever left lol, tons of pro athletes are on the gear they just don’t get caught
Funnest to watch for sure. We will never have players of this caliber ever...steroids or not!
Every sport should have a steroid division. Like body building lol
YES!
same as cycling the steroid eral from the late 90's early 00's was epic.
Legalise steroids on sport
Remember Greenies
mcgwire was clean. bonds too 😂
Not in sports history just in baseball history
Actually the steroids era is one baseball era you could rank up there with the the best sports era
Afraid of competition
It's still around wym😂😂 loopholes exist for a reason 💀
Consider they’re not even juicing to full chemical potential and safety due to keeping it low key.
Couldnt even tell the difference 🍻
10/10
Absolutely
Same people who want it are the same ones who were screaming “cheating” whenever their team lost
The BEST ever!!!!
When baseball was fun
It should be legal. If everyone can take them, there is no unfair advantage.
There is if you don't want to fuck up your body and want to be a pro.

Yes it was the best 😂❤
Steroids didn't give them hand eye coordination or skill. It gave them strength indirectly.
Home runs are still being hit without steroids.
absolutely
And ironically enough the best out of all of them wasn’t on steroids (Ken Griffey jr)
Might have been on roids but he could hit a ball that's not all roids look at that swing him and Sosa both had beautiful swings
Definitely the most entertaining for the casual fan but cheating is never the best
Wait til u guys find out about jiu jitsu
That guy was on massive amounts of creatine you can get over the counter.😂

When they got strict on it they haven’t been able to fill a whole stadium on no team year round; also inflation.. 😂 GET IT

Everyone takes steroids they’re just careful. Personally I wish they would legalize it. It’s safe and can produce better results for sports.
There needs to be a juiced league. See what humans could be capable of.
100 percent… they just enhanced their game. Not many people on steroids can even hit a softball in slow pitch
It's true, I take gear , I'm physically big but doesn't help me hit the ball , and definetly run just as if I were fat

BRING IT BAAAACCCKKKKK
Legalize it !
Not even a question..
Totally a great season even though it was plagued by the juice.
That's an ugly swing, but still a bomb lol
I think it was because it was a home run derby so mark may have tried to lift the ball more
Yup every team should get 4 ped heads on they team and every year for the home run derby get em all juiced up on peds and let em swing for the moon
Let the juice loose!
Yes!

Only in baseball
Plz think about pitchers in that era 😢i meant ones who did not use ped.
They watch wrestling now
Shits been around since the 1930's who else in MLB was juicing before the 90's
Yup and it’s not even close
They had a strike a year or 2 before. People were sick of the players, thinking them greedy. Big mack and Sammy saved baseball
