Nice haul! Love it all. I am starting to get more sennilier watercolors and Holbein as I love how Holbein paints are smooth and easy to lay down and the colors themselves are beautiful!
I hope you get your home back soon, Vee ❤ Thank you for the content, I love your collection)) and I envy your shin han's availability and Holbein set a bit ,))
Since you love dot cards (as I do), I highly recommend that you consider purchasing DaVinci Paints sampler-the dots of paints are far larger than competing brands.. Plus each paint dot is housed in a light cardboard folio (material similar to egg cartons). I paid about $30USD for the entire paint range (for about 100 colors). Because the paint dots are generous, I have been able to complete several swatches per paint dot. DaVinci is my favorite dot card brand-so much so, that I bought a back up dot paint sampler. Would love to see your review of this product. Love your videos!
sadly, davinci is totally not international-friendly. it's $43 for shipping to me in Thailand. i have received several colours from viewers in the past and have posted videos of my opinion on them. i think that's the extent of my relationship with davinci. they also haven't replied to my email so, bad customer service to me. which is fine. i think they're more focused on local (USA) customers anyways. that said, for the price they're selling in the USA, i can see why people like them. just not great for international customers. thank you for the recommendation though :)
I love this idea of "reverse art haul" and using supplies that you already have and/or supplies from past hauls. I would love to see more reverse art hauls, but in addition to showing the items with a short description, I would love to hear how long you have been using each item and a short review of the item with pros/cons, some previously made swatch sheets and/or new swatch sheets to see how the product has aged, homemade lightfast tests, maybe short demonstration of the product being used, etc. Obviously not all of these things in one video because the video would be waaaaay too long with multiple art supplies, but maybe definitely give the length of time you have had and review with the description, and then showcase one or two of your favorite supplies from the haul or supplies you used the most and show a short demonstration or using the supplies. Anyway, these are just ideas. This is your channel to do as you please, and you have been doing an amazing job so far!
thank you creativespark! im glad unlike the idea :) tbh, i did do version where i touched on everything you said here but the video ended up almost 2 hours. i save the “using the supplies” part for the proper review vids. and most then for fave and most used, i save that for “my faves and my most used” vids as i’ve done in the past. otherwise his video would be waaaay too long 😂
hahahhaha! indeed a lot of stuff. but yeah, most have been shown on the channel before ... i think maybe about 10-20% of this haul hasn't been shown. but yeah, once you gather them all up together like this, it sure is a lot of stuff! (btw, i dropped you an email already)

@@PaintinHiding did you see the Jackson’s travel brushes, they do have engraved info on the cases, and come in three different types. I think they are new as I have not seen them before. So ive resorted to just keeping them flat on my desk and only using them at home. It is pretty humid where I am but I haven't heard of people having this problem enough to make them no longer travel with the paint.

Hi Vee, Thank you for informative video. Would you please make a short video about setting up your bullet journal? It must be interesting to learn from an artist how to set it up. I really like your videos for your honest ideas.🙂Thank you again.
No idea why Raphael make cruelty free brushes and then sell the set in a leather case made from the skin of young cows. Astonishing cognitive dissonance. Animal agriculture is a leading cause of climate change (in fact worse than the whole transport industry combined) and unimaginably cruel but they decide to wrap synthetic brushes in it. We don’t need unnecessary cruelty in art supplies. And an animals body doesn’t contain byproducts they are products. Most cows are killed before age 2. Many before even age 1. Many stolen from their mothers (who are constantly impregnated for milk) at birth. This ‘byproduct’ is just the cruellest thing and there’s not even an excuse that ‘oh we need to eat them for protein’ (nonsense-where do you think gorillas, elephants and cows get their protein?) there is no excuse to destroy our shared planet and harm animals to make a painting.
Also would you wear a fur coat? Why kill an animal for a paintbrush? It’s abhorrent. They are often sk*nned a live you could do a video on the fur paintbrush industry. Look into it. Many are trapped in the wild and the others are kept in cages with no floors and nowhere to sleep. All piled on top of each other. Are you proud of yourself for making some paintings using their bodies?
