Just had to listen; hadn't heard this jungle since something like 1976 I think but it suddenly flicked in to my head after all these years! Thanks so much for uploading and making me very old indeed!
Sunbeam was developed on a shoe string from the Avengers but it was a sound design nice to drive but Chrysler already knew they were pulling out so cut right back on the corrosion protection and changed to cheaper parts suppliers so they handed Peugeot a posion Challis.
@@johnsinclair4111 thanks for the correction 👍. I was a wee boy when they were on the road, so my perception will not have been as good as it is now! I admit I was more into construction machinery at the time.
They were very different cars too... The Sunbeam was based mainly on the Avenger and was rear wheel drive; the Horizon had parentage from the French Simca range... and so was front wheel drive + had the legendary appalling great change
Nice to see pop star endorsements are nothing new. Lexus tried it just last year using Kylie to try and shift a few of those ugly little hybrid things.
Love the advert brings back so many good memories. 😊
I love the song!!!

I had one. A GL model, a really great car, comfortable, reliable and practical but still fairly compact.

Lovely 1st car. 1.6 auto with city differential. Sh off a shovel. Strangely good in snow.
I was singing this the other day. No idea why
Onset of dementia ( joke - these old ads are embedded).
good looking little car almost bought one instead i got the slightly bigger horizon
Very attractive car loved the glass hatchback
The belated replacement for the Hillman Imp (1963-1976).
😘💕💕💕💕💕💕💕Pétula
Shortened floor pan from a Hillman Avenger under the skin…
Ahhh the Talbot Horizon as it was also known.
A Horizon was a bigger, four door car. Steering Wheel angle never as comfortable as the Sunbeam

this was my very first car brand new just after it was released - it was quite crappy lol.
