Just one comment on Drennan rods for Chub, the Vertex 11’ ft Carp Feeder with a 1.5oz glass tip fitted, is a much better rod on small rivers, than the Specialist Duo IMHO.

Superb catches Mark, congratulations. I'm in the Oxford area too and you're not the only one that's been doom scrolling with the river levels! It never occurred to me to drive up north though. Good commitment and a nice story with the wedding cake cheese.
