Beautiful setup! I've actually got much of the inspiration for my recent 13.7" sbr upgrade from Shawn Ryan as well, among other former special ops guys like Tu Lam and Jason Pike. You just can't go wrong with their setup recommendations given their experience in war. Last thing I need for my setup is also the tan EXPS3-0!

Exactly what I needed to see. I just ordered an EXPS3-0 & was trying to figure out if I wanted fixed front & rear sights, or a fixed front with a folding rear. Being able to see the sight picture through your video helped me decide on fixed front & rear. Cheers!

@@AXARMS i got the same set up with the same dd fixed front and rear sights with exps 3-0 on my pws mk116 mod2. Shot over 3k rounds using this set up and it works great.
Just ordered the fixed. A lot smaller footprint than flip ups width wise
I did the same thing, watched his video and got everything. I used a vortex uh1 because of the battery life

Im using a 14.5" barrel pinned & welded for my fighting rifle. The 5.56 round from its very birth was designed around a 20" barrel and you're already losing like 500fps by taking 5.5" off the barrel. 10.3" guns make super nice suppressor hosts tho.
You need different tools for different applications, a 10.3” is a must in my personal collection, if it’s good enough for US SF it’s good enough for me. 10.3” 5.56 SBRs (HK 416) were carried by US Navy Seals during the famous Bin Laden raid.
How do you feel about the 1/3 cowitness? Is it sitting too high do you think? Also do you think having a fixed rear is distracting with quick acquisition? Thanks

Nice build. Just got my MK18 upper today and putting it on a SOLGW Angry Patriot lower, Geisselle Tricon trigger, EoTech, SureFire Scout and the SOCOM RC2 can.....
And I went with the same DD fixed sites as well. Love them with the EoTech (green reticle).

Great build man! How is the LWRC uciw holding up? I haven't been able to find any long term reviews for it, I was curious how if it would affect reliability from a longevity standpoint.

Typically ATF form 1s are coming back in around 30 days. You can submit a form 1 for an SBR online. Just google ATF Eforms.

I’m pretty sure that the MRO is NV compatible. The reason I know this is because I own both the MRO and EXPS3-0 love them both but don’t love how eotech eats batteries
Yeah maybe so.
Use what you're best with and what works for you eotech is cool but for me if I'm building a work gun I want a longer barrel it's more reliable and has more punch and I want some good magnification at least 6x and I guess if it's to be the one rifle to rule them all have offset irons or micro dot and forsure a suppressor

No, but it’s not off much.

It’s a Troy Modular VFG, the Iron sights are from Daniel Defense.

How do you like it compared to the MRO?
Joshua Woods I much prefer the Eotech, the sight picture is so much faster to obtain, now I understand why the military uses these most prominently. Also it seems that it would be very difficult to use a tube style optic with NVG’s.
Dbal D2 would look nice on that!
The Dbal-D2 is a bit bulky for this set up. I have one on another one of my SBRs.

After I made the video I forgot to mention that I plan on adding a Surefire to this gun.
Also get a Vltor a5 buffer system,it decreases “parts wear” a ton, I’d recommend getting a Vltor a5 buffer system from sons of liberty gun works “solgw”, it comes with a Sprinko green spring which has a lifespan of 1.5 million compressions, compared to the 5-9 k you get out of normal buffer springs. Parts wear is the biggest problem with mk18s and this will totally correct that.

The Sprinco (proper spelling) devoloped by Alan Dugger will LITERALLY RUN 2+ MILLION CYCLES MINIMUM!!! and color coding on springs is never sure, you can buy 10 exactly the same barrels and wind up with 4 or even more different spring and buffer weight combos. I know a thing or 2, as I have over a decade in the biz and deal with Alan on an almost dailey basis and he's one incredibly sincere, humble, and honest man! He uploaded my "tuning video from war hammer armaments" focusing exactly on this topic because of all the people who call him every day and ask him what color/load rated spring to buy with this or that barrel...Etc, and he'll tell u the same. (look for exactly 4--0'clock brass traveling abpout 4.5-5 feet from ejection port."Sweet spot" tuned ;)

His is an SBR. You have to have file for an SBR tax stamp
Yes you can. As long as it doesn't have a folder and is over 26in from barrel tip, not muzzle device unless its pinned, and the end of the buffer tube
If it's a pistol which means you have a pistol brace then the answer is No as far as the one he is using. You can I believe use vertical fore grips like KAGS

@@AXARMS Your title is misinforming to those new to Eotech sights. The "E" models are those that include the QD mount and serve for a 1/3 lower co-witness. The "XPS3-0" model does NOT include the QD mount. Resulting in an absolute co-witness. There is a difference!
that eotech looks so damn bulky on that DD, thought about getting one for my ddm4 pdw but may stray away from the looks of this
Bobby That’s the appeal behind it the large hood gives you a great sight picture and a large window.
I have an EOTech EXPS3 and an EOTech G33 on my DDM4. Not at all bulky or difficult to use, it performs flawlessly.
Why are you talking about field of view and sight picture? Are you aiming with one eye closed or something? You know you should always be aiming with both eyes open when using an un magnified optic like a red dot or holographic sight, right?
No I’m not aiming with one eye closed, it’s self evident that you do not shoot while using night vision.
