You forgot an important difference between exps and xps the exps has the brightness buttons on the side while the xps has them on the font side just under the reticle window
And being on the side is better if you want to mount a magnifier behind the eotech sight you can still access them

Glad someone pointed this out. I got the EXPS3-4 w/ magnifier combo. It was cheaper than buying them separately. The BDC dots are useful but kind of makes the reticle a but busy. I think I would've rather had the EXPS3-2.

I sure wish I found your video earlier. Very good information. Oh, one thing I did find out the hard way,
the EXPS also has side buttons so that when you have a magnifier attached you can adjust the brightness
without moving the magnifier out of the way. Very good video.

Thank you for putting together video. Helped me with figuring out what model to grab. I was in the market for my first top tier dot and was between eotech and Aimpoint T2 since consensus on inter web is they are the 2 most bad ass dots and I wanted something that I can run with NV when I get my hands on some. I got real good deal from optics planet sister site Dvor so went with the EXPS3. Should be arriving this coming week. Thanks again for video

For this video I would like to add an interesting fact for other people considering buying these. Yes, eotech has a 300blk version specifically but people are buying any xxxx-2 and putting it on their 300blk gun. They would use the top dot for supers and bottom one for subs since the 300blk eotech costs a bit. they save by buying a xxxx-2.

You didn’t mention that there is an option for just the one MOA no circle of death. I accidentally got that one and returned it. Now I’m happy with the EXPS 3-0. I was super disappointed when it only had the one dot.

@@1stShotTactical it’s honestly not that big of a deal because there isn’t going to be many occasions where you’re putting up and putting down the brightness multiple times every few minutes and plus the Magnifier’s have amount that moves it in and out of the site picture giving you easy access to the buttons I think it’s an over blown thing
Also I didn’t see any talk about it but they are both submersible xps @ 10ft and exps @ 33ft
Seems like you got a good model I might get the same one because I don't plan on ever buying night vision but it would be cool to run night vision and if you ever had the chance to do it and didn't have the extra feature on the whichever optic you bought that that would suck

Great video. Thanks. So just wondering this now. The EXPS3-0 says it has Weaver mount. Will this work on Picatinny? I watched a video earlier and the guy showed how to mount but I am not sure about the rails.
Yup the weaver mount will go directly onto the Picatinny section on top of your gun!
@@1stShotTactical @1st Shot Tactical I bought it. I had it in my cart on Amazon and then took it out because after seeing your video I realized I had the wrong model. I actually canceled the order. That's when I realized the model numbers and good for me they had the EXPS3-0. Thanks a lot.

Okay so I do have a question which model would be the best model for the Unity tactical riser I want the fast mount for the magnifier too lmao
Thanks for the comment! And if you use the Unity mounts I would recommend buying the “XPS2-0 or XPS3-0”. Both do not come with the quick attach/detach lever like mine, but they do sit lower so you can use the Unity mount instead!👍👍

And don't feel pressured into NVG's. It's a really expensive investment, considering the $$$ helmet to mount them. When nods become a factor, sell the exps 2-0 for the 3-x. I live in Florida and still don't consider the water depth difference a factor, i'm scared of going that deep in water. Poseidon can keep my optic.

Sorry I'm late, but you forgot the XPS2-1 with no donut, just the 1 MOA dot. From my experience it being a holographic dot vice the standard reflex sight, it actually eliminates the need for the donut. By the way, if the Corps issues you one, you don't get to keep it when you get out. Semper Fi.

And. Battery life is better with just the dot va the circle and dot, and God knows the Eotech is not battery friendly
Also the EXPS2-1 exists as well. Same thing just has the lock on mount. EoTech doesn’t really advertise them much. But it’s so much easier just focusing on the dot.
Totally agreed, I specifically wanted a holographic sight with red dot ONLY, and was so happy when I found out about EOTech making the XPS2-1 version.
That + my new G45 magnifier makes for a true killer combo!!
@@claudiucristian5632If you just wanted a simple dot then going with a rds is a FAR better option. You're sacrificing MASSIVE battery life, far less sight picture since you're working with a massive window for just a 1moa dot. For the same, sometimes significantly cheaper cost you could have got a much stronger aimpoint, much better sight picture, thousands of hours of battery life. I love both aimpoint & eotechs equally but for any kind of desired precision I'll always go aimpoint since it pairs nicely with a much wider range of magnifiers but if you speed within 50 yards then eotech doughnut ftw.

The series 3 has a better waterproof rating also. The S2 is 10ft, and the S3 is 33ft.

Why wouldn’t you want a nice tall QD mount?! I love my exps, and the funny thing is, I didn’t even know they made one without a QD mount before I bought it. So I’m glad I got the right one for myself!
But I can’t lie, I loved my AA Battery Model a few years back. If the batteries died I could run into any gas station or store and grab some new batteries lol.
