Thanks Honda Laura for another great video. I’m looking forward to you showing the other trim levels as well! Always a pleasure to see you and your videos. 😇
I’ve followed your reviews for years. Actually the reason why we bought our Odyssey. Can’t wait to see the review for the new CR-V. We need to get rid of our gas guzzling Explorer. Also congrats on the baby!!!!
It's nice to see Honda Laura, I thought she went away? Anyway I was pleased to find this video she's always entertaining and the reviews are good. I wish they would mention the price for the two wheel drives which are always less for those who don't buy four-wheel drives
Hello Laura i just want to say you have come a long way i have been watching your video review since 2013 or 2014 man times do fly. I used to have a 2013 honda accord coupe in red thanks to you from watching your honda video review back then Keep it up laura!!
Thanks for the review Laura. The HRV seems like it's been moved upmarket and is still a good value! I'm in a 21 accord at the moment, and could see my self switching to an HRV in the future if I need more space. Thanks!
*The interior accent stitching is orange. And the rear row seatbacks don't recline. They fold forward. 😉 I originally was planning to get a Civic Sport Hatchback, but the HR-V Sport suits me much better forcwhat I want and need, if I can only have one. Best reason: No auto start/stop feature. A huge plus. The Sport as like the Civic Sport is the most popular model and best bang for the buck. I live in Honolulu, HI 👋 , so I don't need the AWD and can use that extra $1500 on OEM and after market accessories. It would be nice to have some of the EX-L options, like the 9" infotainment display, wireless charging and Apple Carplay/Android Auto, and the extra tweeters on the rear doors, but all three trim models have the same power output for thecsound system, that some reviewers stated sounds very good, despite no available Bose system like the Civic Sport Touring Hatchback. I would probably upgrade that amp and speakers with Rockford Fosgate or my other favorite car audio brands. Also, some say the cloth seats are more supportive and comfortable than the leather seats. The parking sensors would be nice, but I don’t care for the sunroof, power adjust seats and can live without the dual zone A/C. That's pretty much the only additions on the EX-L that are not worth the money over the Sport, especially with the Sport's nicer grille, rear exhaust finisher tip, and 18" wheels and tires. The 17" tires look small, and detract from the appearance. The Sport shoukd also cone standard with the exterior black emblems that are an optional OEM accessory, when the have the black Sport emblem. It would be nice to have a rear seat center fold down armrest and cupholders, and a matching map/storage pocket behind the driver's/left side seat for us OCD types. But I know Honda is trying to keep the Sport model at a certain price point, like the Civic Sports. Fir about the same price of the Civic Sport Hatchback, the HR-V Sport adds full LED taillights, outside mirror turn signal indicator lights, the cool interior capacitive touch rear ceiling mounted lights, and two LED rear hatch area lights. I don't know why people make such a big fuss over rear hatch not being motorized, like it'svso hard to lift it up with the assist struts. Also, prople complain about the lack of power of the N/A 2.0L engine, that I rather have over the less reliable 1.5L turbo engine, or hybrid. This engine can last 300K+ miles, like the same engine in the Civic Sports. The Sport steering abd suspension could be stiffer, like the Civic Sport, but I believe the engineers intentionally tuned them to what HR-V owners would prefer, while still having a Sporty characteristic Civic ride. There are all the usual lifestyle adventure accessories available like from the Previous HR-V, including a nice big camping tent that connects to the open rear hatch. Honda did a well executed redesign for this new HR-V, eith just the right equipment for the price. The rear seat area is devoid of the center armrest, rear center console A/C vents and USB charging ports, but it looks like it was designed to accommodate those items in the future. Overall, initial impressions when I first saw this new HR-V Sport was much better than I expected. Being available in Boost Blue Pearl and/or Aegean Blue Metallic would be nice, but I like the Urban Grey Pearl. I have an idea for a Sport Touring Hatchback using things they already have for Hondas, but they won't make it because it would overshadow the Civic Si.
@@Jeremiah0009 That's possible, and more reliable that the turbo 1.5L engine, but the OEM turbo setup would be a tried and true easy addition and would overshadow the Si. They should also offer it with the 6 speed manual transmission, also as an option in the present Sport, like the Civic Hatchback.
That was my original idea, with an optional 6 Speed manual, and other additions, like the Bose Stereo, EX-L trim options, upgraded front seats like Recaros with ventilation and adjustable lumbar support and dual exhaust. But it won't happen, unless Honda wants to enter the upscale market, if people are willing to pay the price they need to sell it for, which may be $35-40K with all the goodies like performance suspension, brakes and dual exhaust. But the HR-V is made in Mexico, so logistics is not feasible. But if they wanted to, they coukd contract one of the good aftermarket Tuner companies to make them on special order, installing mostly OEM gear to the stock Sport AWD model.
The, US, HR-V is named ZR-V in the rest of the world. The new, Hybrid (only), HR-V in Europe has still the 'magic seats'. Sharper lines than the ZR-V (=US HR-V) and more compact outside.
Laura, just, put your shift-knob into the "PARKING" and don't hold brakes with that electronic-parking system when you go through the STARBUCKS Drive -Through. You could slam into someone else!!! By the way, the new HR-V is better than with Fit platform. That's good!
No one delivers a quality auto review in the style of Honda Laura.👍

Congrats Laura!
I don't understand how comes they didn't put some of these feature s on the 2022 hrv smbh
what beat is that in the background. it’s fire.

The main question is who has them and how much marked up
Mine is coming next week, am I going to be disappointed in the overall quickness/ acceleration for this car vs my 09 altima??
Prob. 😅

Why do Honda took out the magic back seat. That was one of the reason why I bought the first HRV in 2016.

I don't like the new HRV. I like my HRV 2020 model.
