I know this isn't exactly a review, but this is the very first actual drive video that I've seen for the new HR-V. A wealth of information on this video. It's a hands-on introduction, and I can absolutely see how helpful it will be for a buyer thinking of getting into one, especially a current Honda owner, and a new owner of an HR-V. Thank you for putting this video up.
A hybrid would get me to trade in my 2019. Otherwise, I love the look and the new features, hate losing the rear magic seats, but would ultimately only trade in for better fuel economy.
Congrats on releasing first North American test drive of the 2023 HRV! Great car! Question: with the HRV sport, is there navigation available for the car? Thanks!
Well, I know for a fact there's Apple carplay and Android auto. that means you can have navigation on the display from your phone. Really cool and in my opinion it works way better than the built in systems. use it in my car all the time
@@itech301 got it, thanks for the info! I like having built in Navi as I keep my phone turned off while driving. I know the Corolla Cross for 2023 will have cloud navigation even on their base model. I guess a test drive will sort it all out!
The new HR-V is about 2 inches shorter than the 2022 CR-V bumper to bumper, and the 2022 CR-V is about 3 inches wider than the new HR-V. So it's not much smaller, but were expecting the 2023 CR-V to be a bit larger!
@@Smailhondavillage nice! Probably the cr-v is going to be more expensive than the 2022. I paid 28k for my 2017 crv ex and the 2022 is 31k.... The same price than the hr-v exl!! Amazing...
Almost makes me want to buy it rather than a CRV. I really like the styling and the Nordic color. But I am still going with the CRV. I like that it is a little taller with a better engine and better gas mileage. At least, I am assuming the HRV height is the same since I can find no mention of it in the reviews everyone is putting out.
I watched the reviews for the European/Asia model. We got the better one for sure, exterior and interior design. Only knock is theirs being a hybrid or EV. I suspect that will come sooner rather than later.
How is it honestly merging onto the Highway and passing at 70+ mph? That 2.0 motor is reliable but it’s got to be gutless with the weight. Idk I think I’m going to stick with a civic hb turbo.
If I stay with honda, I'll have to do the same. Which is a shame, because I was wanting a better step in height than a sedan gives [we all get a little older].
Choosing between HR-V and Rogue Sport. I enjoyed the test drive of HR-V sport, but wish for the price it had powered driver's seat, also an option of 17" wheels would be great.
Looks like a Lambo Urus. Great design, but less functionalities. I like the remote start, but could be better if when you change the lanes, you can see the side on your dashboard. Another thing is the gas. Could have been a better deal if it was an hybrid. Great job so far!
Looks okay. Front too Ford Escape inspired. The lack of features, horrible fuel economy and the horrible engine killed this car from my potential lease replacements. How Honda can’t seem to figure out a good mix really hurts my chances of keeping a Honda when my lease is up. New Civic is a dud and has less than my current Civic. It’s take some good convincing to get me to stay in a Honda at this point.
I have a 2019 HRV EXL and I love it except for the manual trunk opening. However, i do not like the new design at all. It looks too common. I guess I will have to keep my 2019. I don't like the fact that it was made bigger which makes it a tighter fit in my two car garage. Also, don't like how it looks inside and the fact that there is no side camera. Guess when it's time to change cars, i will have to buy something else. Too bad. I have been buying Hondas since 1996
Why do UA-cam car reviewers/car salesman, always say, "You Do" aka, "You do have this, and you do have that." For everything they are describing? It's a bit annoying, Instead, I think they should say, "It comes with xx, yy, zz." etc..
Honda really screwed up - I bought a 2022 HRV - did not want all of that tech junk and now the 2023 has all of that stuff (sport). Looking to buy another new car in a year or two - it won’t be an HRV. Interior all messed up - if I wanted a Civic, I would have bought a Civic.
Now I know what’s wrong with this HRV, the Hood is too long! So the proportions look weird and don’t flow. The grille is too small for the over hang. The back is ok, needs dual exhaust to be considered sport in my opinion.
Love this new HRV 💚 💚 💚

Kudos to Honda's engineers on the HR-V redesign. It's really impressive.
It’s similar to crv in terms of space and cheaper
Unhonda like exterior design....some ford design cues.....but those interiors maan that's a huge step up ❤️
Nice car 😊 but bad politics🤨
Looks like a Porsche macan 😂😀❤️, thank you for such elaborate description 🤗
I've seen so many videos of this car and this is the most detailed review, thanks
Great review! So many great safety features. Love the new redesign. I saw a demo at my dealer today and it looks better in person.
Nice! Looks like a mini Porsche!
Thank you! For the nice review! I just bought the 2023 hr-v sport in red.
Wow,love the new look,I’ve got a 2015 VTI-L so I’m definitely upgrading to this!💗
Honda has done a great job with this HRV. I love it.
I really want this as a first car. I'll put it on my list
Mines coming in in a few weeks. Im really excited
Great review.
Great review!!!!!
Great design.
More power-- Tim the Tool Man Taylor would be proud!
I like the look of it. But, they really need to put rear air vents in it.
Great job Honda, on the new HRV! 👍🏻
Well done on the presentation!
Great video. Very informative. I would visit you if you were nearby.
Great detailed explanation on the features and their usage.
Great video dude 👍🏽
Thanks for watching!
ive been saving for a civic hatchback but now i think i might get this
Love my new Hrv
Awesome video. 👌
Awesome review!!!
Awesome got one on order
Great job Honda love the longer side profile.. good looking awd suv
It's look like a mini Porsche cayenee
Very nice design
Awesome video, really clear and well explain!!! 🫶🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Love the HRV . It will be my next purchase .
A hybrid would get me to trade in my 2019. Otherwise, I love the look and the new features, hate losing the rear magic seats, but would ultimately only trade in for better fuel economy.
Looks fire !!!
Love the white color on the 2023 HR-V, it looks much better with this colorway IMO.

There is no built in navigation system but as @iTech stated, Apple CarPlay and Android auto are compatible!
Great review, thank you!
Awesome Video and SUV! What’s crazy to me is I graduated from SVC and lived maybe a half mile from this dealership..
Thank you! Great video
Thanks for watching!
If all new hrv base on civic . Is it using independent or H shape torsion beam for rear wheels
great review!! my only problem is with the front face, I’d prefer the UK version of HR-V front face
Great Review And is there any more HR-V Available At Your Dealership?
I am quite jealous because our dealership has yet to even get our HR-V demo yet.
thinking of trading my 2017 bmw x1 for this, it looks nice and the sport trim is all I need.
Does it have the traffic sign recognition?
New civic does, so this one should too
Yes!
Thank You Almighty God for blessing me and me and showing me that I will buy one for myself
Booked😍😇
Does it have a hybrid version in the future?
No need hybrid version ! $2k more, plus tax, plus financing charge, easily $2300 different bottom line.
Shhhhh buy lot of gas with that difference.
Can you do a video of it getting on to the freeway? People say the toyota cross struggles with that and that has like 10 more horsepower
Could you park it next to a 2022 C RV? Compare the size of it.
The crv is 2 inches longer.
@@matthewalexis I know... Compared specs online.
Great review! Wish it had some manual shift possibility

I noticed that the HR-V, doesn't have engine idle-stop. Wonder why Honda decided not to include that feature?
Maybe I didn't catch it on the video but what will the starting price on this particular model be?
The sport starts at $25,650 base model starts at $23,650 and EX-L starts at $27,450
How much the price
It looks like an Acura. Nice job Honda!
looks like a ford escape
can sirius xm work in this
Yes!
hello. is much smaller than the cr-v? inside and exterior. thanks

Something tells me this vid was made special for my grandparents.
When is this available in a HYBRID like the CR-V ?
In the U.S. there is no Hybrid option available

Do you mean the upcoming 2023 CR-V? Do you know much about it?
The current generation crv and hrv is the same size now hrv wins better interior design
I would wait for the new CRV. It’s overdue for the new model.
@@noelsaw will be available in a few months 👍
I don't remember where I heard it, but I think the new hrv is supposed to have just a little more ground clearance.
Does the engine turn off when your at a red light? If yes can you turn it off?
Nope, the engine will stay running
Only 160 hp?
the rear reminds me of the Mercedes’ glc
I watched the reviews for the European/Asia model. We got the better one for sure, exterior and interior design. Only knock is theirs being a hybrid or EV. I suspect that will come sooner rather than later.
I just hope it doesn't shut off at a stop, then restart like many new cars do.
The grill reminds me of Hannibal lector!!
the car is already reaching the dealer for sale? I thought the car is still in the honda showroom for youtube reviewers lol
I was shocked to see a dealership having one so quickly.
Very nice looking..
Why buy this over the Toyota Corolla Cross?
How is it honestly merging onto the Highway and passing at 70+ mph? That 2.0 motor is reliable but it’s got to be gutless with the weight. Idk I think I’m going to stick with a civic hb turbo.
If I stay with honda, I'll have to do the same. Which is a shame, because I was wanting a better step in height than a sedan gives [we all get a little older].
This is not an HR-V . It's a Civic Crossover.
Yeah it's pretty much an inflated civic lol
The Open cavity is like the Acura RDX haha.
Dude,it's a Honda branded Macan

No paddle shifters? What a rip!
it looks like a mini lamborghini urus

Cadê o meu
If it didn't have that ridiculously dangerous 0-60 I would consider this! Getting on the highway would be a prayer and a half each time
need 2.0 turbo!!! damn it
Agreed
Needs a better engine then it’ll be 👌

not enough to get me to leave my '99 Forester.

same, I probably keep mine as well.
The 2022 did not have all these features wow smh
"lots of space" 5'8" cramped up in the back seat
Getting my dollars ready as we speak lol
I am here reviewing this this video and man i wish i could afford this car.
Get a second job, part time.
NO HYBRID?!?
I guess this is exclusive to USA. And The All New HR-V that available in Europe and Asia is different from this one.

The greenhouse reminds me of the 2010 Santa Fe which i think looked really European. I like it
To me why does it look like a off brand lambo Urus but no matter what it’s my favorite car by - Crazy Indian Guy
Why hrv redesign the model 2022 2023
Honda really screwed up - I bought a 2022 HRV - did not want all of that tech junk and now the 2023 has all of that stuff (sport). Looking to buy another new car in a year or two - it won’t be an HRV. Interior all messed up - if I wanted a Civic, I would have bought a Civic.

I'm not going to like Honda until they bring out the E. SUV are overrated.
158 horsepower not powerfull at all
The Asian version of this is much much better. This looks like a Ford Escape.
ZRV
Front end looks like a KIA
Now I know what’s wrong with this HRV, the Hood is too long! So the proportions look weird and don’t flow. The grille is too small for the over hang. The back is ok, needs dual exhaust to be considered sport in my opinion.
