I don’t know what it is about it but I love watching you set everything on the table and plating everyone’s food. I also love seeing your kids in the kitchen. I am not relaxed when my kids are in the kitchen “helping”.
In our family of nine my mother would never have allowed us to help ourselves in serving. Mom divided the food according to age. Dad was always served first with the biggest portion because he worked 14-16 hours a day.
Everything looks delicious and seeing your daughter helping 🥰 I recently learned clabber girl baking powder has aluminum in it. I switched to Rumford. I just know how careful you are and thought I’d share.
I am from a large family too, grew up in the 80’s and your style of cooking is very similar to my mom’s. Nostalgic watching your daughter baking. If we didn’t bake it ourselves, we wouldn’t have any sweets. Lovely memories. Very comforting to see homemaking skills being passed on to the next generation.
Like viewing your videos. I don't mean to be rude but was wondering In these days of inflation how do your'll manage to have and look after so many children. I mean it involves finances, food, health insurance long term planning. I wonder how your'll do it. May be in America your'll must be having much more benefits than the other countries around the world.
They live off viewers viewing these unrealistic videos without a care for most of people around the world. American influencers live in their own bubble. And more children means more content, showing off pregnant bellies, then talk about birth story, some make birth vlogs which creeps watch and then carrying their baby around and making videos. They live in cognitive dissonance and their own bubble. Her sister is onto the 8th baby, a baby every second year. Too bad gestation is 9 months or they would probably have one every 6 months. More babies are part of their gear. Most of them have no clue what is coming in the AI and digital ghetto of the future. Where I live in Switzerland, its so expensive despite higher salaries and top standards of living. Food is very very expensive.
Living debt free, budgeting, spending within your means, etc. But she also lives in a pretty affordable state and is blessed to have a supportive extended family who raise their own food. She grows a lot of her own food, too.
That looks like some delicious home cooked food. I’m a fan of your sisters Farmhouse on Boone..My sister just told me about the oily sister and I’m big into oils too I think there’s an oil for everything ha. Do the other sisters also do UA-cam?
Laura, thank you for taking the extra time to make this video. I can't imagine having to worry about lighting, setting up the camera to capture different angles and taking photos all while everyone is hungrily waiting to eat!! I'm so glad that you have a big collection of "What We Eat" videos for us to enjoy and get inspiration from. I love seeing your family in the back ground ❤
What delicious looking meals! Also, I appreciate you having the good sense to have your husband put the food into the hot oven. That stove is hot! I enjoy your videos!
I don't know about where you are, but here in London food has become unaffordable. So it's good you can do videos like this. though these dishes would still be expensive in the UK.
UA-camrs live in their own bubble of cognitive disonance and don't care about these nitty gritties. They get sponsored with a lot of freebies in addition to the money. And its content which they can write off in taxes. In Switzerland, the cost of butter for a 200g slab is Fr. 4.50 and prices are rising every weekd and 20gm of herb is 2.50.

Hello!! Have you ever thought of getting an electric pressure cooker!!! It will save you life!!!!!!! I only use cast iron skillets as well, but for a big family!!! Trust it will save you life!!!!!! U should check our electric pressure cooker meals here on UA-cam. I have a Cuisinart pressure cooker.🙂🙂🙂
I am exactly like that, sometimes I don’t even have a clue what I will be making but have a meat in the fridge so I start by cutting an onion and just hope inspiration comes as I go. I joke about putting my thinking apron on!
I keep forgetting to ask, the fry daddy you use, how many batches do you need to make for your family? We are a family of almost 10 and I just don’t know if it makes sense to get one. Thanks!
My 8 year old daughter is in the same exact stage that your daughter is in. She loves to bake! It always seems at inconvenient times so I’ve dedicated Fridays to our baking days and Saturdays as or sweets day. We just don’t bake with sugar. We use honey instead so finding recipes can be tricky.
My daughter is into baking as well! Ever since we watched Kids Baking Championship she has been making us all sorts of yummy treats such as macaroons, eclairs, lemon curd, lemon meringue pie, swiss buttercream, cakes, it's been great we always have treats!
Where do you hide the kids? 😂 My kids are all over me when cooking. They like to help though sometimes it's more stressful than helpful but eventually they'll be able to do it by themselves ☺️

If you aren’t going to eat junk food it is going to cost more. Whole foods cost more than white bread. I highly doubt she gets her meat free even if it is from her sister. Prices depend a lot on where you live. Whole chickens are still in the $13 range here in Iowa. You are doing great, Laura!!❤ There will always people who have to criticize.
We do not get the meat free, I buy it from her for the same price her other customers do. Eating from scratch foods is always cheaper than boxed/processed.
Wow, I don't know where you live but whole chickens are .99/lb this week at my local Kroger store so I can get a large chicken for around $6! I would never pay $23 for a chicken 😬
No, more kids and pregnant bellies and babies hanging on their hand is content. Its part of their gear. UA-camrs in the US make money by being pregnant every other year, talk about pregnancy, then birth story and hang on to the babies till the next one is in the belly. All makes more $$$$$
