I used to fry meatballs but a friend said she cooks hers in the oven! Total game changer! I now line a cookie sheet with sides with parchment paper and load it up with meatballs and throw them in a 375 oven at 15 minutes I turn them and continue cooking until done…..no mess to clean up. You can make lots at one time and they’re off the burner. Give it a try !
this is a great idea! and you don't have to stand over the stovetop making sure not to burn them , could be doing something else while they are cooking in the oven.
That's how I learned and it is a game changer.

If you put a wet paper towel by the onions as you cut them they won’t make you cry. “The acidity from onions gravitate towards water. So instead of hitting your tear ducts it'll seep towards the wet paper towel instead” yes I googled that last part but it is a great trick that I use to avoid crying when cutting onions 😅
The pepparkakor made me think of christmas, in Sweden we eat pepparkakor as christmas cookies

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE your normal food prep videos but I loved this one even more because of how the kids got involved. You'd think that it would be utter chaos in your house all the time but yours and Joshes calm nature clearly influences the kids!
Use an ice cream spoon to make meatballs it is so much easy to make them the same size.
Harlee and my 3 year old would be great friends they both like helping mama preparing food! He gets his little step up just the same then hands right in there love it 🥰

Hi I'm Swedish born and raised. The food looks good. But I have never heard of cheese in the meatballs and the breadcrumbs we usually put in the milk so it can swell in there before putting it in the minced meat

I always mix my eggs before I put it in. It’s much easier just an idea.
Those are more like Italian meatballs. My grandmother, who was from Sweden, would never have used most of those ingredients in her meatballs. And, never, ever would she put parmigiana cheese in meatballs. That’s why I think they’re Italian.

You should do authentic Italian food. Some restaurants are authentic Italian. Canned sauce and spaghetti is good, but not near as good as homemade Italian food. 😋

I love these kinds of videos. Would love to see you do England again maybe sausage and mash, pie and chips (steak pie and chicken pie are popular here), trifle is a classic dessert, as is apple crumble and custard but it can be served with ice cream instead. Maybe trying English chocolate and candy as well. That could be really fun. So good to see Patrick, Dash and Harlee helping with the meal prep ❤

Alicia please consider doing around the world food from Wales which is part of the uK. We have some really yummy recipes that I am sure you and all the family would enjoy and everything is fairly easy to make.
She probably already has. She's done several countries. If she has, I'm sure she'd be happy to do it again.

I think that it's so awesome that you make homemade meals for your kids. Even if it's just a sandwich, kids can feel the effort and love. You have themed dinners and you make snack boards and all sorts of fun food. Your kids will remember all of that when they're grown.

Thats some real yummie ITALIAN meatballs, in swedish meatballs you only put onion, egg, bread and spices. Tradionell but a bit boring.

the next time u make this try couple first to see how u like it. u cook each side of the meatball on the stove for bout 2 mins till its got a crisp then put in the oven to finish it taste 10 times better

The meatballs are too big for being Swedish, but they look great nevertheless
