Thanks to Andy for finding Mark Abraham. I love anything WA puts out but truly love how Abraham brings the guitar sound back and vibe and accuracy from the old days.. thats what will keep me loyal forever
They are still making wonderful music after all this time. Saw them in a small venue, studio quality sound and genuine rapport with audience. They have never received the recognition deserved. Oh, I know line up changes but was that only unique to them?
I think Mark Abraham's has added a real freshness to the band, Some fab guitar & slide playing and he looks like he's really enjoying it too, Great video from close up and you can clearly hear note for note what mark's playing too which is nice. Fab playing as always from the other guys.. Really enjoyed this video and thanks for sharing
They have resonated with me for the 50 years. Worth every second and cent to seek them Live recreating the Argus and Live Dates! Safe travels to them always-Austin TX
I was there, and had Andy Powell, and the band to sign my Original Argus Album from 1972 ....Filming from the right next to Bob !! Had a fantastic night :)
As much as I love Andy's style tone and guitar skill as well as being an integral part of Wishbone Ash, it's still missing Martin Turner. Martin Turner's vocals, style and bass sound was such a big part of Wishbone Ash, there is just something missing here. Martin's vocals in harmony with Andy's was just a wonderful combination and his base tone and sound was different from anybody else and such an integral part of Wishbone Ash. Wishbone Ash was one of the greatest bands ever from the 1970s, I wish they could just get over their differences and play together again.
You can argue all you want at the end of the day if you love wishbone ash and want to hear the music Andy delivers wishbone with a great sound Martin delivers a pub band sound if you like a pub sound it’s up to you sometimes I like being in a pub at the end of the day we will miss both when they are gone stop being stupid and enjoy both
Martin is definitely missed. Why must things always change?? Live Dates what an album or CD. Listen to it in my car when driving. That’s when they were truly Wishbone Ash. What time does to us all????
That V is gorgeous looking. I wasn't raised on wishbone ash. My dad introduced me to them. I think they sound great though these days. I get where older fans are coming from with the Martin Turner debacle. I personally find what Andy is doing with it more enjoyable and I quite like his vocals. Just a personal preference perspective and probably somewhat biased precisely because I wasn't around during the early days.
Ich hab die Band auch über die Jahrzehnte lieben gelernt. Doch ich hab den eindruck, sie würde mit den Jahren immer mehr mit "gezogener Handbremse" spielen. Schade ist es.
What's the mix up? Andy straps on another guitar after first song and then he dives into what? With his V again? Nothing, I have no issue with Andy, shook his hands as well on a recent tour, he is cool, he must still earn his money though. Original Wishbone Ash made me play snooker in dirty pubs. And it was a good time.
This is not Wishbone ash , Turner brothers and S Upton are not there , this A Powel band is a carton of what was Wishbone Ash , the same happens with Jethro Tull , Ian Anderson destroyed Jethro Tull by firing M Barre , D Perry and A Giddings and formed the very bad Ian Anderson band .
Things change and move on. The options are Wishbone Ash with one original member (plus another version with another OM), or no band at all. Ted and Martin Turner, who were not related, are long gone, as is Steve Upton. At least the current band is better than a tribute band!
Stop with the negative comments mate. Don't be a salad 🥗 If you're young like me then this is the only way to witness it. I can't wait to see them in Exeter and Bournemouth this year. Also this band is incredibly tight and an absolute pleasure to listen to ❤

Wishbone Ash are definitely among the top 10 live rock performes of all time.

No Martin Turner, No Wishbone Ash...
Thanks Martin
Martin and Ted Turner aren’t related
Sorry but. Can still play but can't sing anymore. Time to quit and leave the great memories

Than listen to the old stuff over and over again...🙄
One guy from Wishbone Ash. Andy was hired.
