They didn’t shut Mahomes down in the 2nd half. That was by design. Chiefs weren’t afraid of the Raven offense and the went into game management conservative mode but let one fly when it was time to ice the game. But whatever helps ya sleep at night. 😂
Ravens will be better for this. They will be fine.

Stop the BS. The Chiefs would have run up the score if they could have just to prove a point. Just like we give the Chiefs credit for playing good football give the Ravens defense some credit for making adjustments and shutting them down in the second half. Your players and fans are very arrogant, just remember every dog has its day and yours is coming.

@@goldenageofdinosaurs7192 Andy Reid is actually quite prosaic if he thinks he can beat you in a low-scoring, ball-control game. People don't notice that because he's known for all the gimmicks he's used over the years to make up for (usually) offensive line issues, all the way back to his Philly days.
If Andy thought he could run all day and beat you without ever throwing the ball, that's what he'd do.
He had some good lines in Philly, but not compared to the NFC East at that time. I remember watching him trickerating all day long against the Giants or Cowboys and rubbing my hands together when the Eagles came to KC, only to watch them run right over the Chiefs with no problem.

There are several reasons why the Ravens are not able to win the big ones.
The Ravens are an undiciplined team (needless penalties), they have a quarterback who makes poor decisions at critical times (sacks and untimely passes), Jackson seems to always be looking for the “big” play instead of taking what the defense gives him, and they have a head coach who has trouble playing against better coaches. One thing that would really help is if they would move Jackson to a wide receiver position and bring in a quarterback with a little more experience in winning. This might allow them to move to the next level.
While the Chiefs didn't play their best, they did win. The definition of a really good team: Even when they play poorly, they still figure out a way to win the important games.
I hope the Ravens have a good season again next year. But if they don’t make some serious personnel moves, they will find themselves in the exact same predicament.

@@davidy.9524 he’s a 2x MVP at QB. Cmon now let’s not be disrespectful. That WR train is long gone. His play calling didn’t help him calling 6 runs either but hey Harbaugh and crew always escape criticism.

@@nittygrittysportstalk Mahomes had over 4100 Yards passing last year compared to Jackson's just under 3700 yards (by the way, Mahomes has had over 4000 yards his entire career, while Jackson has never had 4000 yards. Mahomes also had more TD's than Jackson, fewer sacks than Jackson and won the AFC Championship and the Superbowl. In addition, Jackson is also only average when it comes to reading defenses.
I'm not trying to be disprespectful, I just feel like Jackson would be much more of an asset to the Ravens at wide receiver than at quarterback.

@davidy.9524 well you're not. He's staying as a quarterback because who else is the ravens getting thats better? Maybe stfu and be patient with a qb that went thru a new offense with a rookie wr. Or maybe you should play the quarterback position and get blitz😂😂

@@zzqrow Judging from your response, writing and language are definately not in your wheelhouse, so I'll try to make this as simple as I can. Jackson has had the same amount of time as Mahomes to become , at the very least, a good quarterback. He has failed at that. Rather than eating his whole contract, why not make him a wide receiver this year and bring up one of your QB's in camp or make a trade for one? Jackson has not won his MVP's for his quarterback skills. He won them for his running skills. The Ravens need to use him for that!

Only channel to talk about how Zay Flowers laid out instead of just running it in and taking a hit. I thought I was the only one who thought it looked like he was trying to avoid contact. Yes, he was going to take a hit at the goal line if he didn't lay out, but no, there was no way that DB was going to keep him out of the end zone.
I'm a KC fan and until that fumble, I thought KC was in a world of hurt. I thought the fumble was a total fluke, an unforced error.
I like the way you guys generally give each other room to say their piece. Plenty of high-dollar network shows that can't seem to manage that. Very professional and heartfelt at the same time.
27:00 Yes. I don't know if Harbaugh's trying to make him a pocket passer or if Lamar's trying to prove something by throwing from the pocket, but the thing that scares opponents the most is that Lamar's gonna extend plays and either get wide-open throws or scramble for yards.
No, don't give him a bunch of planned runs. No, don't make him throw on rhythm from a 3-step drop. But it's so hard for coaches to let the best street-ball player in the league play street ball. He'll get plenty of yards with his feet just by taking advantage when it's there. Making him over-think. That sack by Tershawn Wharton over on the right sideline was just ridiculous. What's going on in Lamar's head where he lets that happen when the easiest thing in the world would be to just throw the ball 2 yards out of bounds before he went down. It's things like that that make me think he either doesn't have what it takes, upstairs, or his coaches are too much in his head.
Randall Cunningham, Michael Vick, and Lamar Jackson are 3 all-time greats who could've dominated for years if coaches would just let them play. Donovan McNabb sort of fits in that category, too, in a John Elway, Cam Newton or Ben Roethlisberger way, where they're just a man among boys.
I think trying to make a pocket passer out of Cunningham and Vick hurt both their careers. I sort of threw McNabb in there, because you KNOW these guys are trying to fit someone else's image of what a QB should be, when they're forcing the ball into double coverage against a measly 3-man pass rush they could run rings around.

It wasn't that they were not prepared. It's just that the moment got to them. With the penalties and what was Zay Flowers thinking taunting at Sneed for no reason, when he was in such fine form, he should have focused on a touchdown.
