Tesla is definitely one of the more unique turrets, the lightning ball is what makes it so strong. On some maps for SGE, RGB or Assault, you can abuse the shit out of dilatory and spawn trap enemies. The status effect augs and pulsar also seem to occur relatively often when attacking.
So we're just playing with each other's balls

I maxed out tesla once I got the superconducting discharge. Used it for a week wasn't fun for me rather use railgun even though 80% people use its prot

Tesla with the super fast ball augment is so memes, shooting the ball then holding space is amazing
I usually use AP/EMP over Pulsar cause it the status happens more often. The other day I was play CP and noticed 2 teslas working together was annoying 1 had EMP and other JAMMER... Only way to counter tesla is the tesla protection, keep your distance and fire from a far. Tesla is one of the strongest turrets sure, but it depends on the map and type of game. I've started to use this combo for CP.... striker meteor with wasp/defender...fairly decent combo... also rico emp is nice... for CP...
Smoky is strongest, not many have protections and some of it's F2P augments are better than it's P2W augments :)

Its not about the damage it deals, you can counter it with max protection or take cover behind a wall its about the status effect frequency especially the pulsar one i swear this thing has some adaptive mechanism or something the pulsar effect only activate in the important moments when you are about to cap a flag or running away its a very good counter to healers like me especially im grinding for the phoenix augment
A huge disadvantage if tesla imo is its damage distribution between enemies. While this probably isn't a big problem in endgame, it's super annoying in midgame when there are multiple overleveled campers in the same spot and you just can't do enough damage (because it gets split) to do anything before dying. With freeze I can easely take them out one by one and it has way better survivability because it removes double damage.
Can you revisit swarm on scorpion it got buffed
I actually didn't know about the more stars for quick play. I was confused on why I was getting so much stars for nothing and it makes much more sense
The fact that the balls do damage after death and apply status effects, so a random ball just flying around kills you is ridiculous, especially that all the other turrets (like striker or railgun) the shots just lag out and dont deal damage when you die

Tesla is the only turret that should NOT exist in this game. Conceptually it's fine, but in practice it's just unreal and it hasn't been given anything but broken augments. It's the only turret that can both shoot from long distances or just deal AOE damage AND has infinite firing. Now add the stupid Pulsar augment or any status effect and you've got yourself an oppressive turret. I've been saying it for a long time and I'll keep saying it, this turret should be completely removed from this game, or at least banned from Matchmaking and added to a hypothetically new tier/game mode called "anything goes" or something.
Since i'm only matching against players who are way above my rank i started to like smokey with pulsar, its just at MK6-10 because i cant Upgrade it rn but with the pulsar effect i can kill some of the mk7-20 with some op argument players. Allows me to at least have some fun playing tanki.
From what I've seen, tesla can be very hit-or-miss. Sometimes it's good (like in that last battle, but the enemies were also kinda crap), but a lot of the time, I never see teslas in the first place spot

I’m currently at 210K xp using Tesla but I want to get good augments, I’m currently saving up Tanki coins f2p ( 200/ month.) how much do events cost to join ? I would’ve definitely taken this event for so I could get vacuum shells for thunder but I’m broke
