At almost 75 from North Carolina I have always been a person who has raged against a government that is to pushy. Being Rebellious is in my blood. Daddy was the same way. What's the best thing about County music is the storyline. If you don't speak your truth in the songs no one wants to hear Rappy crap. That's not County. I wrote a poem this week about myself from my son's perspective. Title is My Momma is a Reble. Hopefully your song tells a good story. All I have on my song list do. Bless you for your honesty.

Creed, in 2002, an old time country artstcand friend of mine, Robert Kee "Lefty" Gifford, and I went, to Nashville, snd hit Sony Publishing, on Music Row, which he had written a hit back in tne 50s/60s.
The receptionist, Judy, recognized him right away, although it had been 30 years, he was 82 and had solid white hair. We had a 6 song demo I helped him do.
We had no luck because all if Nadhville was in Las Vegas, for the CMT Country Music Awards.
So we went to BMI and sat down, with Harry Warner (RIP), who was Chet Atkins & Jerry Reeds Producer, President of Vector Records, and the BMI Songwriters Rep., at the time.
Harry listened, to all 6 songs, said he liked all the songs, then said, "They dont do real country in Nashville anymore, I wish I knew of someone, to send you to"..
After a few minutes of sharing some vintage recordings of Chet & Jerry playing guitars TOGETHER of never released recordings (what an honor that was, to hear), Harry gave us the name & number, of Mr Shelton, at Broken Bow/Mustang Records.
Mr Shelton made room for us & fit us in, only due to Harry Warner's recommendation, before we headed back to the suburbs of Ft Worth, which is where we lived.
Mr Shelton listened, to all 6 songs and said, "I love all of this stuff but I dont see any of my artists doing this." Then verbatim, he said, "They don't do real country, in Nashville anymore."

I love all of your music, along with anything from the 70s-present day, although I'm primarily and hard rock/ 80s & 90s guitarist. Great job in Fairues Wear Boots.. lol
Ive been throught Temple about a million times. My favorite spot to stop when U was trucking, in my day cab, 1 man box truck, logistic business was Buccee's.. Lol.. Then straight through Austin, to New Braunfels to unload, field up and est ar Buccee's again and back home. Of course another break at Temole Buccee's again.
Keep it up, keep it real, cuz you guys rock. Love people who say what they mean and mean what they say.
