- Had this burl around the workshop for a while now, watching the different grain patterns and faults unravel as you turn a burl is truly amazing. There are always hidden secrets!

Absolutely gorgeous!
Nicely done! Beautiful and fragile looking piece of wood!
Matt, you are steadily becoming one of my favourite turners. I like your work very much and aspire to reach the same level as you.

You are welcome Matt. I have 2 large burls I have been waiting to turn. I just finished and uploaded a bowl from Macadamia wood. It has amazing beauty. Check the video out it is truly amazing wood.

Gracias
Stay awesome...
Very nice! I have a large Oak burl that I've had for about a year, but I'm afraid to turn it. 1. I don't want to ruin it. 2. It has a lot of voids and I have no pressure pot to get clear resin. Maybe someday.... Mike
Very nice ... thanks
Liked so much i subscribed. Well done sir! ( :
Thanks Gary 👍
Enjoyed the video as always, but as a thought; the pedestal that you cut off at the end would have looked good left on. Again I really like to see your workmanship and look forward to your next video.
I was hoping to God for resin on this one. I don't know why but I'm just obsessed with epoxy work.
Thanks 👍
Welcome 👍
Buen trabajo
I Luke de job I like the music.beatifull
Beautiful piece of wood and you again did an outstanding job of making it into a work of art. Question: is the beeswax the only finish you put on, if so then how is it maintained, just polishing?
Thanks Paul, just normal beeswax polish to maintain. It's more of a satin finish than very high gloss.
Nice job, but I would have left the pedestal on for the finished look. One man's opinion, love your workmanship and watch your posts frequently.
Is that a pressure pot? U do resins too?
Looks more like an old style pot without a lid than a bowl, but Still looks Nice
If it was put in resin?
did you sit down to hollow that out? and how long did it take you to hollow that out?
There's no seat in my workshop..., must be the camera angle, I would say to hollow out was about 3/4 hour, i was taking it steady. Thanks
Nice character
💯👍👏👏👏
И сказал Господь это хорошо!
изделие называется подагра
What was that you used to finish it with?
Natural beeswax
@@MattJordanWoodturning Do you have a preferred brand of natural beeswax?
Lo suyo es que le des de lija hasta 70.000 o más pa que quede bonito
Arena hasta 2,000 granos. Gracias
@@MattJordanWoodturning (en español se le llama lija) thx pal
Lovely ^^
Why don't you stick your own logo bro :)
Not got round to it yet, nothing more 👍
What is it you made?
Small vase
@@MattJordanWoodturning OK I wasn't sure .
Why did you cut off the base ???? Now, one little bump and it rolls off the table.
Because the face plate screws into the base, and I don't want screw holes left on the bottom of the work. The base part wasn't actually part of the Burl so nothing lost really, otherwise I would have glued another piece of wood on. It's on the mantle piece so no danger of it being knocked over..
I’m 60 years old. Do you think it’s too late to learn to do this. Not as good as you but just to make nice bowls or something.
Not at all Don, that's a perfect age to start 👍
I'm watching the whole interesting proses of turning, and while I'm looking foreword to see the result of all that effort ,you are blocking the picture with advertisements of the next videos
Thanks I've adjusted the time in my latest videos, I'll shorten it in this one too now
Try that now 👍
Yes, better, thanks
now make it look like a skull
