Get your beach fix and see horses, too!
Starts with a two minute warm-up and then a steady ride along the shore!
You never disappoint with these beautiful videos.
Thanks so much Pedro!
Love the music!
Thanks Andrea!
One piece of advice, when coming upon horses on a trail you must yield to them and stop your bike😊.
This reminds me of the "Red Flag Laws" we had in this country at the turn of the century.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_flag_traffic_laws#:~:text=Red%20flag%20law%20in%20the%20United%20States,-In%20the%20United&text=This%20law%20stated%20that%20%22%5Bt,livestock%20of%20its%20impending%20arrival.
Another nice ride. You can’t do that on Southern California beaches, they’re too sandy. Thanks for adding the date & route on the ride.
Thanks Robert, I believe you were the one who recommended we add the date, so thanks for that!
In regards to riding on So Cal beaches; you're right that the soft sand is unrideable by anything without the fattest of fat tires.
When we did the review on the Juiced Rip Current we took it down near the jetty in Huntington Beach where I (Paul) was just barely able to ride it in the soft stuff, it wasn't a lot of fun so I only did it for a couple of minutes.
Nice Video did you get your bikes fixed after your misfortune ? Did the Luna suffer any damage saw Paul's poor front wheel damage hope your doing well and back @100%.
Hi John, both bikes are back to their previous glory :-) Had to replace the front wheel on mine but I was able to get the rear wheel on Liz's bike straightened with the spoke tuning method.
Does that bike pedal any harder when you go through sand ??
Hey Howard! Yes, the softer the sand the harder it is to pedal. My bike has much narrower tires too so it gets pretty squirrely in the soft stuff which adds yet another layer of difficulty to the equation, but that just lets me work on my balance ;-)
What type of bikes do you have, I am looking for a ladies. Are the fatter tires easier or harder to ride? I notive you both have a different tire from each other.
I (Paul) have a Juiced Cross Current X and Liz has a Luna X1 Enduro. I Do Not recommend the Luna because it's a Very High Performance bike and as such requires A Lot of maintenance.
Regarding the difference between Fat and Standard tire bikes; I prefer Standard because I like speed and with Fat tires you will give up a couple of MPH because of the additional rolling resistance. The trade off however is that with Fatties you can ride it over more varied terrain, so if you think you're going to do as much off-road as on then I'd suggest a Fat Tire.
Lastly, Juiced has just released a 'step thru' version of their Rip Current, which is a Fat Tire bike.
Hope that helps.
What brand bike rack to you perfer?
I prefer and use the Swagman e-Spec but it's been on backorder for months and I have no idea when it'll be available.
A good alternative would be the 1 up Heavy Duty.
