I know how frustrating it can be to have a messy house - especially when you're trying to stay on top of your studies. Mrs Lynn., I’m glad we’re dropping the perfect Pinterest aesthetic home. Quite frankly I’m tired of the trend of over consumption and have fallen into that trap too. At the end of the day I think what matters most is having a clean and functional home and I’m glad you’re moving away from all the “fluff” and portraying a realistic, working home.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with a Pinterest home by the way! I just (selfishly) love seeing a home that is more like mine 🥰

I'm loving the new house! I know your poor heart was broken leaving y'alls dream home, but I can feel the love and the family atmosphere coming through the screen from the new place. 100% agree about kids needing to be taught household responsibilities. Our parents had no trouble putting our bootys right to work, and we were more self sufficient because of it.

Hi friend! I totally agree with teaching your children to do acts of service. I taught my son how to do laundry 🧺 and clean up after himself but I never taught him to cook. Because I was afraid he would burn my house down! Lol
He is grown now and has children of his own but years ago after he got married he called and ask me how I made my delicious homemade spaghetti sauce. To his surprise I said it’s ground beef and a jar of Ragu cooked in the crockpot!! Lol
He said all these years I thought you made it from scratch. I thought you would get a laugh out of that! Lol. So definitely teach children to do things around the house because one day they will definitely need to know. Have a wonderful day!

I live in Florida too and we use to live in suburbia 🤪 10 yrs ago we decided to move further out into the country, rural area. It’s only 15 min from where we use to live. So peaceful and we live it! 💜

Lynn. I’m 61 yr old and I love playing kinetic sand with my grandson. We use it to build roads and dirt tracks for his little cars. Kinetic sand is just so much fun ❤

Hi lynn...just love your content. I totally agree with service to others, my eldest boy is attaining his masters degree in theology and at the same time , he works full time with the defence force in a welfare capacity. He has an army regiment that he administers to. He and my daughter in law will never be rich money wise, but they will be rich in all other aspects of life. He was also a full time soldier himself for 6 yrs and was badly injured, which ended his career in the army. So, he is well placed to understand the struggles, hard times etc that defence members face...so, so proud of him and my daughter in law....they also have a 1 yr old...rita daisy, who is the light of their and my life x

Oh man do I LOVE our Cozy Earth sheets!!! They actually get softer the more we wash them. For loungewear though I highly recommended Tommy John. I have two pairs of PJs from them and if I could live in them I absolutely would😂
I use our soap dispenser for dish soap as i like to hand wash alot. So they make replacement dispensers that come with a long clear tube that attaches to the pump on down through the hole and can attach into an exonomy size dish soap stored underneath. Way less filling! We love it!😊. Love your channel!

Our in counter soap dispenser has a removable lid on top. The pump part just lifts up. Yours looks like it should too. We actually had two put in. One for soap and one for lotion. 😊

I totally agree with you Lynn. I was in a marriage for 29 yrs & decided I needed to get away from the volitale relationship. I divorced & was single for 17 yrs & I found someone. He lived in Iowa & I lived in PA. We each moved to TX & lived together for about 9 yrs & decided to marry in Sept 2020. He was the best thing that ever happened to me. Unfortunately he became ill in 2021 & passed away 2 days before our 3rd Anniversary. I wish we would of had more time together but I'm very thankful for the time we did spend together. We had more fun the time we had together. He was the love of my life & worth waiting 17 yrs for.

I can so relate to being burned out on cooking thing! 🥴 It usually happens every couple months and then we eat out too much 🥴 I wish my hubby would cook. Occasionally he will make breakfast on the wknd. 💜 For your kids not eating veggies what about doing cut up veggies and dip? Kids love dipping sauce!

I always unscrewed my soap dispenser from under the sink, and then I discovered that’s supposed to stay screwed in and the top part pops out to fill it from above. Yours might be the same type. If it is, it’s definitely easier!

I have a bit of a hack for you, I to have a soap dispenser on my sink. My husband bought a longer hose that I could connect to it and ran it to a large soap bottle, container. I’m telling you, it is wonderful! No trying to screw the bottle back up under the sink!

I’m the same with the taste of the water having a softener in our home(yuk) so I have a separate water filter on my tap because it has a hot and cold tap and then a tap at the front for that and I’m fine with that. Sending love to your family from the uk ❤
Lynn, you are looking so much better than when you first moved. I know how hard that was and I am glad you are doing better. Also, about the talk in the beginning...I am a struggling old lady (65 years old) and soooo unhappy. I just can't see my way out of my marriage due mostly to finances. My earning income is limited and I live in one of the most expensive states to live. But that is where my grown kids are. I don't see them much but I am afraid to move thousands of miles away and have no one. My daughter and I have a difficult relationship because of her husband who doesn't like me and refuses to allow them to see me when he is around. (I live 10 mins away). The children know this (4 & 5 years old) and it is so sad. Nothing in my life feels good right now. Not home, not family, not the part-time job I have. I am really struggling. You say I am where I am supposed to be but how do I get out or find happiness? I know you had a lot of unhappiness and a lot of hard times and I feel that you would understand. I know not everyone has a perfect life...I got divorced from my kids' father when my daughter was 6. I am just so sorry that I felt the need to get married again after being on my own for 12 years. Fear of being all alone because my kids were grown and leaving home? Feeling like a failure because my ex remarried and I couldn't find a guy? Wish I could go back and kick sense into my younger self. well, thanks for listening and for sharing real emotions and real life. I know other UA-camrs' lives may not be perfect but they pretend it is and it is hard to relate and feel good about myself.
My heart breaks for you. I completely get where you are coming from. If I were you, I 'd focus on the things that bring me joy. If there isn't much right now, I would look into things. Then pour yourself into that. Crafts, wood working, house projects, painting, a sport or 2, the list goes on. I'd also Have you tried to find ways to rekindle the marriage?? You can't go back, but you CAN MOVE FORWARD. :) So, in one year what or where would you want to be, feeling, doing?? Then do everything in your power to get there. As for you daughter, that is so hard. Can you have a sit down conversation with them to find a way to get back into their lives more often. Those dynamics can be so hard.. I am thinking about you and so sorry you're struggling. This is a season for you. Pour into yourself and find YOU again.

My boys have been doing their own laundry since they were in middle school. I drew the line when I was washing folded clothes. When my older son went away to college, the girls were coming to him to help with their laundry. 😊

Love ur new home. You will make it yours with your decor! I don't know if I missed something on the soap dispenser or not. I have them on all my sinks....I fill them from the top. I have never taken one off. I love them. Love how ur organizing every space little by little.

That message was right on time. I’m 45 and have two adult children, one of which has special needs so he will be with me for as long as I can physically take care of him. Their dad left me when they were toddlers. I raised them to adulthood on my own. We separated 22 years ago but only divorced 9 years ago. We were junior high/high school/college sweethearts. I’ve never had a date since. I’ve never had anyone even ask me out who wasn’t married and wanted to come by my house secretly, which was NOT and DID NOT happen or they were not married but wanted the same kind of relationship. I was just telling my mom this week that I give up. I’m going to die alone. I’ve survived breast cancer at 30 yrs old. I’ve had several other surgeries since then. Needless to say, that along with nobody showing real interest has destroyed my self-esteem. I smile through the pain and the loneliness and hide it from the world and inside I’m screaming from it all. Thank you for those words. I’m trying to hang on to hope but at this point, I feel l have none. I have prayed and prayed and prayed about it, and I know my time is not God’s timing. It’s just so hard and so lonely and so defeating and so depressing to feel so unwanted and unworthy of love.
Friend, I can relate to your pain and I can hear your heart. There IS someone for YOU. You are beautiful inside and out and God has something so special waiting for you. Enjoy this time of freedom, because when your beloved walks into your life you will know it and be thankful you have this time of strengthening. Sending so much love to you.

Oh dear, the soap dispenser should be able to be filled from the top. The pump should pull out on the top of the counter and you fill the bottle from there.
I always got tired refilling the bottle so often that I made a change to that.....there is a hard tube that is in the pump, I went to Home Depot and got about 3-4 feet of flexible tubing that would fit tightly around the hard pump tube. I pushed the 2 tubes together tightly. I put the other end of the flexible tubing through the soap dispenser hole in the countertop and pulled it down into the cabinet, reinstalling the pump dispenser. I got a big bottle of dawn dish soap and drilled a hole in the cap of the dawn bottle that the flexible tubing would go through and fed the tubing through that hole so that it reaches the bottom of the bottle. I set the bottle of dawn in the back of the cabinet under the sink. Now I only have to change out that big bottle every now and then instead of refilling the little bottle that came with the dispenser weekly.
I did this in our precious home and loved it so much that it was one of the first things I did when we moved to our current home. The little things that take something off my weekly to-do list makes me happy.
