Hello Adele, great vlog all interesting makes and plans. It was lovely to see you at the Staffordshire sewcial (Saturday 12th), I hope you had a great day too. Loving the fabric for the dressmakers ball outfit. Happy sewing 🧵
ooh like that idea - just been to my local fabric sop and got half a meter of purple and half a meter of two different gold/bronze shades so I can have a play with the colours - i will share on my Fridays sews this week x
Just found you Adele, watch loads of other sewers, have subscribed to your Chanel , and loved watching. So lovely to see what you are sewing. Can’t wait to see your outfit for the ball.x
I bought some of that wonderlust fabric from my fabrics some time ago. It was a remnant, so I made a cardigan with a pocket and sleeves in a plain navy jersey. It worked out really nice. Mine was french Terry. It's lovely
Your Dressmakers Ball outfit is sounding spectacular Adele, I’m in Melbourne Australia and we have Frocktails in November so I am thinking about an outfit to create for that event. I have to finish altering a wedding dress for a bride at the moment so once that is done, it will be all about Frocktails for me. The Elma top looks great and the fabric is beautiful, have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕
Thanks Deb. Frocktails sounds amazing, i look forward to seeing all the photos as I follow the hashtag. OMG altering a wedding dress is very scary - well done you x
Luving both the fabric and the pattern for your "dressmakers ball" outfit.. the tulle wrap will definitely be the "icing" on the cake 😊 The first thing I thought of when I saw the new fabric was a jumpsuit😅
I nearly bought that animal print jersey when I was in Germany! I have made a Paige Hoodie out of the French terry version (different colour way) and I love it!
Wow that fabric will look stunning as a jumpsuit! What about using both sides of the fabric for the wrap top? Thank you so much for the mention it means a lot xx
Devon thread tales showed how she got her Esti too fit beautifully. Might be too late for your current top as you’ll be adjusting rather than sewing from scratch but might be useful for a future version. Hers looks gorgeous.
