This was a really fucking great video!!! I’m shocked this doesn’t have a ton of views! Extremely well done my dude😊
Thanks so much for your encouragement and support as I try to grow the channel!!!
One of my favorite bits on the show was where the kids get a hold of a very large fire work and end up turning night into day for a brief moment.
“Did they say when our vision would come back?”
The Hal timeline is an example of everything going well only to choke and botch it up at the end, while the Lois timeline is an example of everything going horribly wrong only to make an amazing comeback in the end.
I never thought about it like that wow
The other episode that I think is a must-see is Lois's birthday, the one with the clown fight.
that clown fight was epic! i still re watch the show from dvd"s that i got from Australia. usa only has 1st season dvd due to music copywrite issues.
I just started watching the show again from scratch after growing up with it. IT STILL HOLDS UP, extremely well.
Nothing comes close to Malcolm`s ability to make you really laugh out loud.
Yeah seriously this show was golden
So many memorable lines from "Bowling":
"Here's your damn strike!"
"Way to go, Connie!"
"I'm not putting my socks in those nasty shoes."
"C-SPAN. That oughta do it."
"Three. Oh. Oh!"
And the best line that encapsulates the entire episode and comes at the very end:
"Next time, you take 'em."
I'd love to see a one-off Christmas special episode with the cast now. That would be precious.
I’d be in for that!
One of my favorite sitcoms of all time. It was absolutely perfect for Fox.
Don't let the lack of views deter you from making your videos THIS meaningful and detailed. Such a great fucking video.
Thanks!
Am currently doing attempting to write a split timeline screenplay for a bit of a fun challenge and wanted to look up this episode for inspiration. Stumbled onto this video and was so engaged from start to finish, great stuff!
Sounds great! Great writers study the classics lol!
This was really well research and put together video, great effort ! You deserve more coverage on UA-cam.
Thanks very much for your kind words and support. :)
Bryan Cranston was always Vince Gilligan’s choice for Walter White and Cranston never auditioned for the show. John Cusack was who AMC wanted instead as they said nobody will ever believe Cranston could ever be serious because of Malcolm in the Middle. They also mentioned Matthew Broderick as being Walter White, but Gilligan had everyone watch the X-Files episode that Cranston appeared in to show his versatility, afterwards AMC then allowed Cranston to be cast as Walter White.
This is not exactly true. While Gilligan really wanted Cranston (as you say) AMC wasn't sure. So when AMC called an audition for the part... Cranston auditioned (for the network) with Gilligan's support.
For more on this, check out Cranston's awesome memoir "A Life in Parts."
EXCERPT:
"The network wanted to bring in five or six guys to test for the role. I was one, thanks to Vince. I heard the list also included Matthew Broderick and Steve Zahn. Walter White was a Jekyll and Hyde character. As talented as Matthew Broderick is, I’m just not sure that he has a Mr. Hyde within him. Steve Zahn? Yes, I can see that.
Vince was convinced I was the one. The network and studio said: “Bryan Cranston? The goofy dad from Malcolm in the Middle? I don’t think that’s what we’re going for. Let’s keep talking.”
Vince said: “He’s an actor. He can do different roles. That’s what actors do.” He sent the execs the Crump episode of The X-Files, and they saw I could be a different guy. I don’t know if they fell in love with me, but at least they saw I wasn’t a one-trick pony. They opened up to the idea of me.
Nevertheless, they implored Vince to please be reasonable and allow them to conduct a proper test, march a half dozen actors through auditions for a room of twenty-five people. They would certainly include me in that test, but also most likely they’d include Steve and Matthew, along with possibly Christian Slater, Paul McCrane, Adam Godley, John Carroll Lynch, and Henry Thomas."
Spectacular video
