I am planning to follow in your foot steps in couple of weeks. I plan to enter Canada from the St. Stephens 3rd Bridge Border crossing. I live 1,000 miles away. So I'll need at least 2-3 days to cross border. I know the Canadian border guidelines require PCR / Molecular testing within 72 hours of the date you apply for ( date of entry ). I am a little nervous when and where to get my PCR test. I know CVS offers PCR testing. But, they cannot guarantee result turn around. The average is 1-2 days. How did you guys coordinate testing with entry date? I have firm reservations for lodging once I get into Canada. Also did you show the CVS pharmacy Canada's accepted list of COVID test? Thanks.

I plan to overnight in Saint John on Sunday 12th and then take ferry to Digby Monday Sept. 13. Oh, apparently if you change your entry date into Nova Scotia, you have to cancel your Safe Check-in online form and do another one. Ahhh!!!

Do you have to print the negative results , show proof by email on your iPhone, and how the heck do your print results while on the road from your phone?
You will need to apply for PEI Pass, which you can upload your vaccination information onto. That becomes the test results/vaccination proof, which what you need to enter PEI without quarantine.

I live in Prince Edward Island 4:30 Yeah, it’s pretty long. A few times people hit the barrier and drove off the bridge accidentally. I remember one time we were going to Halifax and crossed that bridge and a car like 7 cars ahead of us slipped basically and hit the barrier and went off the bridge. Luckily they were okay. (Edited again lol) OH YEAH! My great grandfather who was in WWII helped build the bridge!

@@ChrissyMacPhail Check the webcam on the bridge traffic is pouring in to the island everyday. Labor day weekend was very busy with non essential travel. We are safe because we have immune systems.

My family roots are Acadian and Scotland. My Acadian side were some of the first people on PEI. I am actually here right now visiting my grandparents for a week.
Great video. I have Acadian ancestry, I love history and have done my family tree and DNA stuff. So interesting to find out that I have tons of family on the East coast, my maternal grandmother was born in New Carlisle Quebec, so if you head that way I would love to see what it looks like there.
Canadians know the value of your currency, but it's all relative. The way you talk about buying things for way less American currency comes across in a demeaning way.

The maritime provinces have been an embarrassment to my country over the past 16 months. I can't wait to get back to the land of the free in a couple weeks. Vegas, DC, and NYC. Come west and you won't see any of these checkpoints.

If you're from the area, you know that NS has nothing to do with the PEI/NB border. We did isolate in NB per Federal/NB Province regulations at that time.

If you're vaccinated, which you should, then it won't be difficult to get a PEI Pass. It is free and easy to get.

No cars have ever "drove off the bridge" in an accident. There have been collisions (very few) but no vehicles have ever went over the barriers.

Yes they do. You will need to fill out their travel form online. Each province has its own Covid rules and restrictions.
