In my case I'd rather be made of information. Having an identity is important in connecting with others, being true to yourself, and making hard decisions about life. For us it's about mortality and (I assume) seeing the possibility of being more than human. For others it's gender. They're the same as us, making things complicated by changing the definition of humanity in a world that demands simplicity and hates change.

Doc Smith Skylark III (1930) has the hero chasing the remnants of the genocidal Fenachrone who are fleeing the galaxy. That series had faster than light travel (very early sci Fi) and the chase speed and distance was so great that after destroying the Fenachrone refugee ship, the deceleration and turn around was already into Andromeda so he decides to explore that in the next book.

As most of this channel is grounded in known or at least theoretical science I am curious which of the most popular science fiction movies/television series bothers Isaac the most. For example I have a very hard time watching Lost in Space. I am more okay with Star Wars because that is more of a fantasy set in space though and physics doesn't really play a role in creating the setting.

Reminds me very much of the deep future stories of Reynold's Revelation Space universe, specifically Galactic North.

"Zoe the Robot" always enjoys a good Isaac Arthur video. Now I am planning to see if adding motor inhibit relays may be a good idea, to prevent the robot from jumping when power is first applied to her drivers.
