Unfortunately the issue is not related to the accident. It would be completely pointless to express concern about an issue caused by an accident. There are many others who have had the same problem.
I bought mine certified pre owned with 14,000 miles. It has been the most unreliable vehicle I have owned. Not only that the paint is flaking, peeling, cracking, and rusting at only 50k miles. I blame Nissan. I dont blame my clean title.

I am trying to buy a 2022 Titan SV brand new, been sitting on the lot. It comes with a 5 year/100,000 mile warranty. We rented a similar model from Enterprise and I was sold the first day that I drove it.

I got you. I also spoke to an XD owner who said he didn't have that issue either but the forum has so many people who have had issues and either got it fixed or traded it in. Sad to see so many people who love the truck but were unsatisfied with the service they received.
@David Millan I'm just sharing my experience and some similar experiences other owners have had. I have nothing against the truck, just trying to find a solution so that if anyone ever has this issue they can know where to look to resolve it.
@btbuildthings Nobody has this issue bro. Every truck has its issues but do some research before you start talking sht. I have been on Titan forums too and it's mostly positive. Maybe you should go buy a Ford 😂😂😂
@@bc_usa Just because you haven't had the issue doesn't mean that it's not a real thing. Lol. I'm actually over here trying to solve the problem and sharing in the event some one's truck decides to act up. See for yourself: www.titantalk.com/threads/rough-start-then-dies.429224/
Titan is by far the most underrated pick up on the market !! I am currently on my 4th one ! I have put an average of 100K on each and Never had a problem with any of them ! They are the most dependable truck i have ever owned !
As one of the worst selling trucks in the lineup, I agree, VERY underrated. It's a great looking truck and once I resolve this issue, which is either wiring or programming related, I will hopefully join the club of those who get to enjoy this truck on the regular. 😎
I’ve always loved Nissan. In my business in the 90s I owned 25 Hardbody trucks that had crazy young male drivers running the hell out of them and never had mechanical issues. I’ve owned 5 Pathfinders and kept some up to 250 k miles no Issues. In 2018 I bought my 3rd used Nissan. Mostly bought new but they are so reliable I’ve decided to let others lose the depreciation. Anyhow purchased an SV fully loaded 2014 Titan with Rockford Fosgate stereo (love it) with 92 k it now has 197 k. No issues ever. Keeping it for dirty work now even though it still looks great inside and out and runs perfect. Last Saturday I just picked up a 2023 Titan pro x fully loaded ( this time with 12 fender speakers, sounds fantastic) with 22 k miles for only 36 k. Love it so far. Runs flawlessly and suspect it will run until 300 k. I’m saddened they are discontinuing the Titan model
Update 261k kms. Just had power steering rack replaced. Still runs smooth. I have a 2018 titan midnight edt with 210k on it. Never had any issues just regular maintenance. I'm finding now I have to replace barings, shocks and springs since I've been pulling a heavy dump trailer for years. Great truck wish they kept making them. Quick to off the line.
That's a pretty good run before having to do replacements other than regular maintenance. It definitely is a good truck and truly unfortunate that they will no longer be produced.
You've got to be the first UA-camr I've seen that has said that a Titan was unreliable. Maybe its just THAT truck. Everything I read and watch says they are uncompromisingly reliable
With all the responses I have been getting, it is clear the issue isn't widespread. I'm not giving up on this thing and will have it back up and running hopefully soon.
I agree with the spending at the dealer if you're a person that takes their vehicle to the dealer for scheduled maintenance. But I own a 2019 Nissan titan sv just hit 39k and I have never had a issue with mine towed trailers from Texas to Kentucky and from Colorado to Tennessee and it hauls great. It's definitely one of the more reliable vehicles I've had great truck all round.
You're not wrong, it may be more reliable than other but it still had its share of problems. It's unfortunate Nissan decided to kill it from the lineup.
My experence with Titan (7 years of daily drive) was great with almost zero problems and I am thinking now to buy a new one. ❤ I believe it is one of the most underrated vihicles on US market!
I can confirm my 2017 sv had the same issue with the factory radio, found out it was android audio causing it. Another time, i have an iphone for work and personal phone is android, it caused a problem. However my 2019 xd i have now had a full year, no radio issues at all.
Has the truck taken a big hit? From the looks of the cab on the passenger side it looks like the bed has been driven into the back of the cab at one point. If so I'm thinking that the fuel pump may be the cause of this and may need replaced. That's my guess from the cab damage. Hope you get this figured out because its a nice truck.
The truck took a hit on the passenger rear. The gas tank is on the drivers side. The hit shouldn't have had any impact on the current issues that I am seeing but I did order a fuel pump since they seem to go bad anyways. Based on the codes I got, seems like there is a short in the CAN bus which I am trying to troubleshoot now. With so many people having issues in this arena, seems like either a design flaw or low quality sourced parts. But I am hoping to get to the bottom of this because as you said, it is a nice truck.
@@btbuildthings Its a safety fuel cutoff for incase of an accident, for lack of a better term. But I've heard of people having that issue like yours and thought that might be the issue. My brother in law went over some very rough RR tracks in his truck once and it caused his to shut off. Hope that's the cause of your problem and it fixes it for ya.
Thanks for the insight. I will drop the tank as soon as I get the replacement pump and see if that safety switch has anything to do with this issue. How did your brother in law address the triggered switch? Does it need to be reset or something?
Have you tried replacing the battery with better quality one? Usually when a car shuts off on you like that its a 12v battery issue. It can pass a battery test but still cause your car to shutdown.
I've installed a brand new battery. I believe there was a grounding issue which I addressed but the remaining issue of the engine bogging down and shutting off while pressing the gas remains unsolved. My suspicion tells me it may be an issue related to the ECU.
Did you ever figure out the problem. I currently have a fiesta st that the Ford Service center could not figure out... Basically same problem where it would cut off while driving or wouldn't even start. I ended up figuring it out that the pins in the engine bay fuse box were not making good contact. I ordered a new fuse box for the engine bay and Im getting it installed by a reputable shop locally for around 200. Ford wouldn't give me my money back for false diagnosis nor the dealer service center.
From my testing, it looks like the ECU was the issue. I've ordered one but it's been on back order for quite some time. Here's the video: ua-cam.com/video/Tgc8QUFC3u4/v-deo.html
Just bought at 2022 sv Love the truck took it on vacation and on the way back. The cruise control stopped engaging. It would turn on, but it wouldn't engage. Not quite sure how to fix that
I have 2019 titan that is having high pressure fuel problems about to get the high pressure fuel pump wonder what you did to get it fix because I’m having similar problems
I am experiencing the same issue in my 2017 Nissan Titan XD. I have replaced the fuel pump twice and replaced the fuel module on the outside of the tank. Still experiencing low fuel pressure. Stalling while driving, wait 10 minutes it starts back up. Contacted Nissan Corp. after reading all the posts online with the same issue. Their response was to take it to the dealer. I am also wondering if you were ever able to solve the issue.....please help!
I have the 2016 Titan XD with the 5.6L gas engine. Most of my problems have been with the automatic trans. I've already had it rebuild once and it's already getting confused which gear to be in. I really wish they offered a manual trans option. Maybe the G56 that Mercedes made for the Ram.
BT, it’s been a while since you shared your concern about the reliability issues with your Titan. Did Nissan ever resolve the problem with the engine shutdown problem?
On my third Titan. 2006,2008 current 2017. The 2017 is starting to give me troubles. Not starting intermittent. Then goes a month no problem. Interior lights blowing fuse. Haven’t found yet. Ac stops intermittent while stopped. Dealer couldn’t repeat. Now out of warranty. Door locks intermittent don’t work.
100%. bad battery. Doe's it stumble on startup? Sound like shit on start up, almost like it's not firing on all cylinders? BATTERY! Been there... 111,000 on my truck and literally the only issue i've had. Easy fix with new battery
I have a 23 titan I bought new. Mine has also been riddled with problems. Transmission behavior issues while cruising, fuel gauge issues when filling up, exhaust hanger bolts falling out so literally my exhaust was trying to fall out of a brand new truck, interior lights have intermittent issues, random noises of things being loose
Understood. Some owners have issues and some don't. But hopefully the ones that do have issues now have resources to get that back up and running again!
My 2017 platinum reserve is still at the dealer... bought it 3 months ago. Drove it one day. They've changed a few sensors... and many other diagnostics... now they're pulling it apart to check on timing. It has a random won't start problem. 3 months of trying and they can't figure it out. The dealer is covering it.. and I've been driving another 2017 since.
That's a great callout as I have also learned that this is a trouble spot based on the design of this truck. Unfortunately for my problem, I had already tested and ruled this location out as the culprit.
I am looking at 2024s. I was thinking that same thing. Why is there zero protection on the wiring distribution plug in that harness. It is wide open on the frame. Seems very bad. Water, mud ,rocks can go directly into that harness plug. My 2019 f-150 has a very well placed and protected harness on the frame. 🤔
Just an FYI, this truck is not being driven as a daily but currently being used to collect data to hopefully isolate the issue for current/future owner. Be sure to Subscribe and hit the Like button! 😎
2017 Titan SV Crew Cab with 42k miles, towing my 6,300 lb trailer on I-75, RPMs shot up then dropped and into limp mode, 40 mph max. Low gears and reverse worked, but not higher gears. 500 miles from home, dealer "diagnosed", new transmission needed, $8,440, and that was for a remanufactured. My 2005 Titan was great, 240k almost trouble-free miles before I sold it. Thought I was a Nissan owner for life, but I'm done with Nissan now ... will be selling before the replacement transmission's 12-month / 12k-mile warranty ends.
Titans are not made to pull 6300 lbs. just because it has a 9000 lb rating you shouldn’t pull more than 50%. That’s with any truck. If you’re pulling 6300 lbs you should be in a 250 or 2500 series truck. At least a 3/4 ton minimum.
I own a 2021 Titan Pro4X, it is absolutely the best truck I have owned. Zero problems, and with 100k warranty you’re covered. I have owned mine since 2020, I’ve never had to use the warranty, again I’ve had zero issues!
I’m in the market for a truck. And I see this 2017 Nissan titan SV crew cab with 43k miles on it. I test drive it and it feels amazing should I op in for one or go with a Toyota tundra. The titan goes for $26k tundra for $25k?
I have a 2018 titan platinum reserve. I have went through 3 batteries, 1 alternator and truck still has issues draining my battery. I read it's the smart alternator system draining the battery. I'm super frustrated with this truck. Anyone else having this issue and has found a solution please let me know....thanks
I have a 2017 Titan SV with 157,000 miles. Never had this issue but did have to get the transmission changed at 99,000 miles. Good luck finding out the issue.
So the problem with the truck shutting off is a solenoid on the gear shifter. Happened on my NV 3500 HD SL. Cost me $800 to fix but it’s been super reliable. I have 150,000 on it and it’s only been in the shop once. For future reference the starter is under the engine manifold. It’s also an expensive fix. Just changed mine at the 150,000 mile mark. I was driving at 75 mph when it shut off and then shut back on. My mechanic put a new gear shifter on as the solenoid went bad causing the truck to think it was in park while driving so it shut off as a weird safety mechanism.
Thanks for sharing this information. I believe I have identified this issue causing my problem but this is also good to keep in mind for future reference.
My 2004 and 2012 Titans were tanks....only routine maintenance and zero issues. My 2017 is a trainwreck...only 77k and major electrical issues. On my 3rd ECU and currently been in the shop now for 8wks awaiting an engine wiring harness that is on "indefinite backorder." Thank God I bought an extended warranty.
I had this problem with a 96 Chevy Silverado. I put three fuel pumps on it and after I traded on another Silverado, I discovered it was actually the wiring harness going to the fuel pump and a short. It could have been fixed with a new connector on the harness for less than $100.
Wasnt just 1996, the harness problem was all the way up to 2003. When replacing the fuel pump on my 02 Tahoe and 00 Sierra, the plug to the pump receptacles were MELTED........... New pumps came with new harnesses.
Yes, it is quite interesting and there is no telling when it can happen. All I can say is I have noticed changes after changing the crank sensor. Next up will be the cam sensors, then possibly inspection of the fuel pump and also testing the signal going to the crank sensor.
Noticed the damage on rear of cab and I am wondering did you buy with a salvage title? If so, man you could be chasing down all kinds of gremlins and that's going to be more representative of buying a salvage title than buying a 2019 Titan.
Yes, this was a salvage truck and you're right, it can be a rabbit hole trying to find the issue. Luckily for me, when I got it, I had no issues at all other than the damage. Once I get the truck back from the shop, I will be able to install the new ECU which I'm almost 100% positive will resolve my current issue.
I wonder if that damage to your truck bed has anything to do with your ghost problem. Some vehicles will interrupt circuits when vehicle impacts are registered. Or a connection could be loose from impact. In my experience, ghost issues are caused from outside influences.
Unfortunately the damage on the truck and issue mentioned in this video were both isolated and didn't impact each other. I later found out what the problem was which is also available in the description section for this video.
I think the issue is the truck just doesn't like you. I have had mine a year and have no issue other then a ABS light that turned out to a plug being lose. they just didn't snap the plug in properly.
Im not sure why so many Nissan owners deny that these issues exist with Titans. Like you said, the proof is ALL OVER the internet. Why not hold Nissan accountable and call them out for their subpar building of these trucks? They never corrected anything model year after model year. Look at their paint department for the most obvious examples🤣
I have a 21 XD pro 4X I bought it for work it’s had multiple issues it’s been 12 months it finally runs how it did the 1st month I got it let’s see how long it last nonetheless i love the truck …… when it runs
I have a 2018 Titan Pro4x, original owner, not an issue other than a bad weather seal when I first bought fixed under warranty. Has, oil and filters with maintenance is all I have done. Only 42k miles but driven most every work day to commute.
I have a 2019 sv midnight edition. New motor at 40k miles, new transmission at 80k,new alternator and front n rear wiring harnesses that go into the abs module.
Had a 2019 Titan XD V8 for a year. Problems within a year was, rear main seal leak, shocks went bad, gear shifter broke, rear weather strips leaked. I put less than 10k and it spent more time at the dealer. It was my first and last titan. My experience was not good. I went back to toyota, I guess I just had a bad one :(
Wow. It's always interesting how some people never have issues while others have tons of problems. Sounds like a quality manufacturing issue on the production line? 🤔
I’ve got a 2011 pro4x 180k only issue clear coat peeled on hood easy fix!2021 pro4x xd no issues as of now!2020 Nissan armada platinum and traded in 2012 Nissan armada never any issues with either..of course I do my own maintenance..

The deal did not work out, they only gave me $16,500 for my 2018 Toyota Camry XSE. The Titan @ about 11% interest rate with $500 for 84 months. SMH!@@btbuildthings
It's crazy because people often think I'm making this stuff up. It's fine to experience problems so long as there are reasonable solutions to remedy the problem.
@btbuildthings After many significant electrical issues and a troubling vibration in the front suspension, Nissan couldn't resolve, I traded it for an Armada recently.
Thanks for uploading I had a 2017 and had no issues. The only times I had to take it in for anything other than routine maintenance was when (1) I was rear ended by a silverado (the chevy was totaled; my Titan had a dent) and (2) when the dealership's lift failed and the truck's front passenger side fell 10 feet to the floor. I'd have kept it if issues outside of my control forced me out of it.
For the most part, the majority of owners have no issues. There is a small subset that have had various issues tied to the vehicle shutting off or not starting. Luckily for me, I spent so many hours testing that I believe I should be able to resolve my issue and enjoy this truck the way it was meant to be enjoyed! 🤓
I have a 2017 nissan titan xd and I've been having so many problems, and one problem is what he is talking about , Also it struggles to pull up after stopped
Well that is very encouraging to hear despite the numerous hours of troubleshooting. 😅 But you're right, everything has problems and you just have to choose which ones you can stomach!
I’ve owned my 2019 platinum reserve since 2020 where it had 12,000 miles on it. I’m at 95,000 and never had an issue. The scary problem you outlined reminded me of my 2009 VW CC. After many warranty trips to VW the ultimate issue was a secondary full pump (who knew there was more than 1?). Hope you find a solution
I've heard both sides but the good thing is that it seems like there are more people that seem to have good running trucks than the few of us that have faced issues. Either way, still glad I got this one over other options. 😎
I drove a 2008, hard for 17 years replaced a starter and that's it. My 24 titan has been rock solid for 6 months. I do believe in 23 it was the most reliable pickup on the market, but I could be wrong with that.
I bought a2019 Titan black with the Midnight Edition. I’ve only had a couple of issues with my truck. 1., aleaking rear shock which was replaced at no cost and recently having an issue with the tail gate not unlocking, other than that I love my truck.
That's good, looks like you got a good one. It's not a bad truck at all, just need to be aware of areas prone to failure and get ahead of them to ensure that the truck stays on the road.
That's awesome for you as an owner 😄. It's hit and miss for those who have issues but there are others out there who can't seem to get any solutions from the dealer.
I'm on my 3rd Titan and never had the problems you are describing. I think you may have gotten a bad apple. All my Titans have been beasts, and I feel like they are underrated truck.
It's definitely hit and miss with this truck. Some people had wonderful experiences while others had major issues. Did you end up replacing it with a newer Titan?
I have an 04. Rust is covering the entire roof. It gets 11.2 mpg driving around town. Reliability ? Normal repairs for a 20 yr old truck. Replaced original radiator so far. We bought it new. I've heard nothing bad about the first generation cept for the mileage. The newer generations have issues from what I hear. I really like my truck. Sorry everyone with the newer one are having problems.
We have a 2019 titan sv and we have never had problems with this truck till yesterday. We were on our way across the mountains in the Smokys. We took the gatlinburg way and stopped at a light and no power like none. So we had to get it towed to a Knoxville Nissan dealer as this truck is still under warranty. Hoping to get it fixed while we have to travel back to kentucky for work tomorrow. But over all we love our Nissans and will continue to buy them but Nissan does need to fix this problem.
@@btbuildthings so dealer said it was the throttle body and they replaced it as it was under the warranty. So glad that they came through for us. Now we are on our way back home. Just to re-enforce we love our Nissans and we will be purchasing more in the future.
19 Titan XD S, 63K miles. Driving on cruise control at 75 MPH and suddenly started running rough. AutoZone scanner said #6 spark plug misfire. Drive to my destination, changed plugs, ran worse. Took it to a dealership, found multiple trouble codes, #6 cylinder is dead. Engine blown. Dealer stated engine cost $25K to replace. Not happening with a truck that blue book is worth $18k
Never had that problem with my Titan currently have 63k. My only issue is the stupid back window electric connector came off and the idiots and the nissan dealership are refusing to fix it.
I have a 2017 that I bought brand new. It’s been very problematic. A truck for $58K should be better than this. I just hit 80K miles and all 8 injectors burned up. Luckily the factory warranty covers it (for another 10 months anyway). There are just too many issues to list but here’s a few… alternator, the 7speed tranny slips when pulling, the terrible fuel mileage, etc. I had an F150 eco boost before this truck, I should’ve stuck with it. That 6 cylinder would out pull this 5.6L any day. Lesson learned.
I'm considering a new 2023 did they fix the problems they are or you are having from 19-23 or are they continuing into the newer models, i have done some research not much but most of what i found on the Titans from 20-23 was 90% positive. Thanks for your input and the video have a good day!

@@jmend135 Hey thanks for the info maybe they improved it or fixed the issuse on 22-23. Did the 5 year 100,000 mile warranty cover your transmission fix? i really want one but 60% of people i talk to are trying to talk me out of it (payment & brand reasons..) but i feel it's a pretty solid choice!
@Kris XLilHeffX13 it was a recall, so there was no out of pocket expense. The nissan dealer also provided a loaner at no charge. My buddy has the Titan pro 4x 2022. He's enjoying hauling his camper. Hope you find the right truck for you.
You are absolutely correct. Many newer owners have had great experiences with the truck. If you check the comments you will see that some have had issues even with the newer releases.
After troubleshooting, looks like I didn't get a lemon and once I fix it after I receive the part I need which is on backorder, I will be as good as new! 😎
Awesome. I identified the root cause of the issue, just waiting for the part which is on backorder. I too should be able to enjoy this truck the way it was meant to be! 😁
I had that happen on my 2017 SV. The throttle body was dirty. Had the whole thing replaced and it has been working great. That was 4 months ago. We shall see...
Hmm interesting. Thanks for sharing that info. Since this truck only has 14k I would think it less likely to be the issue but I will check it out if my next test subject fails.

I own a 2019 Titan SV. I've driven it coast to coast with a 7×16 trailer with no issues. It's the best truck I've ever owned.
That's awesome! Glad to hear I made a good choice in buying the most underrated truck on the market. 💪🏽
You've got to be the first UA-camr I've seen that has said that a Titan was unreliable. Maybe its just THAT truck. Everything I read and watch says they are uncompromisingly reliable
I just wanted to share my experience. I will say I chose it for a reason and I'm working to get it back to the reliable truck it was meant to be.
I own the 2019 Texas Titan SV. I just hit 73,000 miles. It is my 3rd Titan. Solid truck for me.
same year as well haven't hit 40k miles yet
Good to hear it's been a solid truck for you!
I will be part of the club one day. 😊
I've had 3 titans 04 ,2017 and 2023 never had this problem or other problems except ball joints after I lifted them.
Which transmission is this? 7 speed or 9? Because my 2017, 7 speed transmission has 80K and it doesn’t pull my little horse trailer for anything.
Have a 21 p4x sense new. ZERO issues. Maybe the issues people are seeing are from previous owners/accidents?
Doubt it. Theory is all the owners with problems have trucks that were either manufactured on a Monday or a Friday. Lol 😆
My experence with Titan (7 years of daily drive) was great with almost zero problems and I am thinking now to buy a new one. ❤ I believe it is one of the most underrated vihicles on US market!
You're absolutely correct 💯. Definitely underrated for sure!
i have a 21 pro 4x w/ 16000 miles and the radio will randomly turn off. The other day I couldn't get the volume to work too......
I can confirm my 2017 sv had the same issue with the factory radio, found out it was android audio causing it. Another time, i have an iphone for work and personal phone is android, it caused a problem. However my 2019 xd i have now had a full year, no radio issues at all.
I have read on the Titan forums that many other owners have had radio issues. Mine has a low humming noise with no audio playing.
Have you tried to do any updates?
@@btbuildthings yea his had a reset button under the dash from what I remember he told me. His was a Ford Ranger at the time.
@@ubangiestomp Awesome, Thanks!
Why dont u just trade it in @@btbuildthings
When you press the engine stop button it shuts off. Otherwise that has never happened to my 2017 Titan XD gas.
Well it's good you have not experienced any issues with your truck. You got a good one.
Own 2018 titan every day plumbing work 💪 no problem oil change and filters rotation tires very nice trucks 👌 6 years
Glad you haven't experienced any issues! I hope to target and fix the issue so that I can experience the same. 😄
Thanks for not giving up on it and figuring it out and letting us know how to fix it! It was the ecu right?
I can't 100% confirm yet since my truck has been at the body shop but I have a feeling that it has to be the issue based on my testing.
I have 2019 XD 5.6 with 80k miles, my problem is the radio turns off intermittent.
Just bought at 2022 sv Love the truck took it on vacation and on the way back. The cruise control stopped engaging. It would turn on, but it wouldn't engage.
Not quite sure how to fix that
Not sure what would be causing that issue. Is it still acting up?
Wow. That's interesting. You're not the first to mention transmission issues.
How do I change the windshield water pump 2019?
I'll take note of this for a future video. 😊
What problem did you have?... what made your truck shut off?.. that information can help someone
I covered the issue in this video: ua-cam.com/video/Tgc8QUFC3u4/v-deo.html
it looks like there was a recall? the car may shut off due to some bad alternator wiring?? did you check that out yet??
My VIN wasn't included in that recall
@@btbuildthings well it sounds like exactly what's going on, maybe have them check that issue anyways? Good luck
BT, it’s been a while since you shared your concern about the reliability issues with your Titan. Did Nissan ever resolve the problem with the engine shutdown problem?
My truck is at the body shop so I don't have an update yet. As soon as I get it back there will be more updates to come...
On my third Titan. 2006,2008 current 2017. The 2017 is starting to give me troubles. Not starting intermittent. Then goes a month no problem. Interior lights blowing fuse. Haven’t found yet. Ac stops intermittent while stopped. Dealer couldn’t repeat. Now out of warranty. Door locks intermittent don’t work.
I just don't get why there are so many issues. I expected Nissan to do better!
I'm having exactly the same problem on my truck plus the gas pedal sometimes won't respond.
Wow. Interesting. Have you been able to get the issues resolved yet?
100%. bad battery.
Currently have two 2017 and two 2021 with zero problems lots of miles never left me in a bad spot
Wow. That sucks. Here's what I found out from my testing: ua-cam.com/video/Tgc8QUFC3u4/v-deo.html
@btbuildthings it's mid way thru a 12 hour appointment today to check timing chains and slides. It was end April when I dropped it off.
@@veloxversutusvigilans4133 wow. What a long process. Any good news?
@btbuildthings find out tomorrow, I suppose.
@@veloxversutusvigilans4133 ok, keep me posted.
Just got my 2024 titan pro4X man. I hope I don’t have any issues
Hopefully you don't. 😎
It’s the wiring harness under the passenger side inside the frame rail plug that is getting corroded and cause this problem
Glad to hear that you have had zero issues. Gives me hope for sure!
Does your gas tank whistle when you fill it up with gas?
Nope it doesn't.
I’m in the market for a truck. And I see this 2017 Nissan titan SV crew cab with 43k miles on it. I test drive it and it feels amazing should I op in for one or go with a Toyota tundra. The titan goes for $26k tundra for $25k?
How many miles does the tundra have?
What did you end up choosing?
👍🏽
I have a 2018 titan platinum reserve. I have went through 3 batteries, 1 alternator and truck still has issues draining my battery. I read it's the smart alternator system draining the battery. I'm super frustrated with this truck. Anyone else having this issue and has found a solution please let me know....thanks
I have a 2017 Titan SV with 157,000 miles. Never had this issue but did have to get the transmission changed at 99,000 miles. Good luck finding out the issue.
Thanks. I'm sure I will get to the bottom of it eventually.
How much on the transmission?

No issue with my 2024 or 2023. I did have a similar issue with my frontier. It was a relay issue.
Yea, it's really hit or miss with those who have issues.
I bought a 2024 Nissan Titan with the 5.6L Endurance V8 in it and man its a beast.
😎
Wow, that's unfortunate. Why has the ECU been changed so many times?
What’s the best way to fix the body roll on a 2021 Titan?
Check out this video, it should hopefully answer your question: ua-cam.com/video/IUKXgavt1ZU/v-deo.html
aftermarket swaybar links.
I had this problem with a 96 Chevy Silverado. I put three fuel pumps on it and after I traded on another Silverado, I discovered it was actually the wiring harness going to the fuel pump and a short. It could have been fixed with a new connector on the harness for less than $100.
Wow that's crazy! Lessoned learned on that one for sure!
Wasnt just 1996, the harness problem was all the way up to 2003. When replacing the fuel pump on my 02 Tahoe and 00 Sierra, the plug to the pump receptacles were MELTED........... New pumps came with new harnesses.
@@btbuildthingswhat was the issue again first I have heard of it
I have a 2019 pro 4 x and have 86,000 miles . I've never had it shut off while driving, thank God .
Since the problem hasn't happened yet for you, you're probably in the clear and shouldn't have any issues.
That’s crazy that it turns off for no reason! My 2020 Titan with 37k has never had that issue. Hope they issue a recall.
Yes, it is quite interesting and there is no telling when it can happen. All I can say is I have noticed changes after changing the crank sensor. Next up will be the cam sensors, then possibly inspection of the fuel pump and also testing the signal going to the crank sensor.
Wait til you get to 100k. You’re buying a 8k dollar transmission. I promise it’s coming.
I have An 2015 infiniti qx80 with the same engine (vk56vd) 210k miles and its running like new still . No signs of lost power .
That's good yours is running great. It's hit and miss with these.
@btbuildthings maintenance is key , even if the manufacturer says to change oil every 8k they only care about it making past the warranty period 🙃
@BuhdFrankDaTank93 you're absolutely correct. I remember the first time I saw a maintenance for oil change said 10k miles. I just about lost it. Lol
Lol. Well that too bad for the truck because I like it even though it has given me some issues. Problems were made to be solved so here we go! 😄
I have a 2017 sv, only issue so far was this year in 2023, I had to replace the rack and pinion. Other than that no issues, runs great and is strong
That's great to hear. Despite the little hiccup I experienced, I know I made the right choice!
I own 2021 Titan SV never heard of them shutting down. What's this guy talking about?
Here's some information for you. www.titantalk.com/threads/strange-issues-with-starting-and-acceleration.429209/page-2

Well I'm glad to hear you've had a good experience with your past and present purchases. 😎
I have a 2018 Titan Pro4x, original owner, not an issue other than a bad weather seal when I first bought fixed under warranty. Has, oil and filters with maintenance is all I have done. Only 42k miles but driven most every work day to commute.
Looks like you got a good one. Not so much for other owners out there.

I sure did! 🙂
I have a 2019 sv midnight edition. New motor at 40k miles, new transmission at 80k,new alternator and front n rear wiring harnesses that go into the abs module.
What was the reason for needing a new motor and transmission?
Had a 2019 Titan XD V8 for a year. Problems within a year was, rear main seal leak, shocks went bad, gear shifter broke, rear weather strips leaked. I put less than 10k and it spent more time at the dealer. It was my first and last titan. My experience was not good. I went back to toyota, I guess I just had a bad one :(
Wow. It's always interesting how some people never have issues while others have tons of problems. Sounds like a quality manufacturing issue on the production line? 🤔
@btbuildthings yep, it sucked. My family and I were excited when we bought it, but it was a big disappointment instead.
@408jlhapa That's really unfortunate. Hopefully mine won't play out the same way!

I am trying to buy a 2022 Titan SV brand new, been sitting on the lot. It comes with a 5 year/100,000 mile warranty. We rented a similar model from Enterprise and I was sold the first day that I drove it.
It's a good truck! Just like any other car, as long as you can quickly resolve any issues that may arise, you keep on trucking! 😎
The deal did not work out, they only gave me $16,500 for my 2018 Toyota Camry XSE. The Titan @ about 11% interest rate with $500 for 84 months. SMH!@@btbuildthings
Interesting to see that the problems I experienced with my 2018 Nissan Titan were not just me.
@markcarew6724 wow. Unfortunate that they weren't able to fix and resolve the problem.
Thanks for uploading
I had a 2017 and had no issues.

Not nearly as many issues and the Chevy Dodge and Fords tbh but everything is bound to have a problem here and there
Well that is very encouraging to hear despite the numerous hours of troubleshooting.

You bought this truck new from the dealer?
No, I did not but I am confident this problem will be resolved.
No one has this issue…. I have about 60k on my 2019 and have had zero issues. It’s an awesome truck Nissan Titan Midnight SV 5.6.
I've heard both sides but the good thing is that it seems like there are more people that seem to have good running trucks than the few of us that have faced issues. Either way, still glad I got this one over other options. 😎
I am glad that I caught your video. I was wondering why there was a barely used one for sale at the local Stealership.
Lol. Well maybe that dealer doesn't want to deal with and issues that could arise.
I drove a 2008, hard for 17 years replaced a starter and that's it. My 24 titan has been rock solid for 6 months. I do believe in 23 it was the most reliable pickup on the market, but I could be wrong with that.
They aren’t making the Titan anymore after 2024. I hope they come up with something better
I've heard the potential for an all electric truck. We will see....
I actually own the 2019 Nissan Titan and haven’t had any issues with my truck. This is my second Titan and love my first one never had any problems.

It's unfortunate but as long as the problems that come up can be fixed, I think it will still be a great truck.
Wow. Sorry you guys had to deal with that during your trip. Please let me know what the dealer gives you as a diagnosis.
Man that sucks. Are you talking about the switch for the back glass above the rear view mirror?
Ok Nissan dealership did offered to fix it at a whopping $1250 price tag to replace the whole thing. Guess I will just have to do it myself.
@esway6594 wow that's pretty steep. DIY is definitely the best option at this point.
Wow. Sorry to hear your experience hasn't been all that great. Regardless of the issues that owners experience, most still prefer this truck.
I’ve had a 2005, 2018, & now I have a 2021 with no issues. They didn’t perfect the Titan until 2020 with the 9 speed trans in my opinion.
Looks like you have had a history of great trucks. Once my issue is resolved, I'll be right behind you!
I'm considering a new 2023 did they fix the problems they are or you are having from 19-23 or are they continuing into the newer models, i have done some research not much but most of what i found on the Titans from 20-23 was 90% positive. Thanks for your input and the video have a good day!
Own a 2021 Titan. Bought it new. 1 transmission recall. Runs better now than when I bought it. After the fix, I'm actually getting better gas mileage. Love my truck.
Sounds like you got a lemon. Mine has been trouble free except the amp went out. They replaced it under warranty and gave me a rental with no hassle .
After troubleshooting, looks like I didn't get a lemon and once I fix it after I receive the part I need which is on backorder, I will be as good as new! 😎
3rd one zero issues with any currently drive a 2019 pro 4 no issues
That's good to know. One I resolve the issue, it will be as good as new. 😎
I have the same truck now for three years no issues
Sorry you got a lemon. Mine has been rock solid. I have owned several Ford, Dodge, and Chevy trucks and my 2017 Nissan Titan has been bullet proof and the most reliable of all of them.
That's great to hear! I guess there are still some good ones out there. I'm positive I will get this one back in good standing.
