This is the sweet spot, both in terms of the Lexus lineup (no wonder it's the most popular) and in the RX lineup itself. However, even with the RX 500h F-Sport, it still isn't quick. As an example, the BMW X5 xDrive50e has close to 500 horsepower, this is a Europeans option, I want a solid Japanese option. Japanese engineers make their vehicles last forever, other than the performance, and not having a traditional gasoline engine sound, this vehicle is amazing. I love Lexus'.

I bought one in February. I had a 2013 RX 350, and really liked it. A 20 yr old pulled out in front of me and it was totaled. So I bought a 2023 RX350H, and expected to like it as well. But no. It drives well, and I get 38.3 MPG on my daily work commute. But the technology is ruining it. First the camera - they have a camera on you the whole time. They tell you it can be turned off. It can't. You can turn off the notifications, but the camera stays on. Mine thinks I'm not paying attention even when I have both hands on the wheel and am looking ahead. BTW, it stores this data. I wonder if it can be subpoenaed after an accident. Imagine my car 'bearing false witness' against me. I wonder about that.
Then there is the driver assist that keeps you 'in your lane'. If it can tell where your lane is. I've had it try to steer me out of the lane, in rush hour traffic with lots of cars around me. I was in a recently restriped area, and the car just couldn't figure out where the new lines were. I could see them easily, but the car was confused and tried to steer me into the next lane!. It also tries to control the car if you try to steer around an obstacle in the road. The car doesn't like that and will try to steer you back into the lane where the obstacle is! This happens a lot.
Then there's the auto breaking. It breaks for you if it thinks you're not looking ahead. Remember I told you the camera never thinks I'm looking ahead? So, as a result, it breaks for me a lot, even I don't want/need it too. Very annoying.
You may ask why I don't turn these annoying and problematic features off. Well, I was reliably informed by someone in the insurance industry that turning off your car's safety features could be a legal liability.
I recommend that, before you buy this car, you carefully check this out and make sure you're ok with all of this. Me, I'm in the market for a 'dumb' car - maybe a well cared-for, used RX350.

@@keninhb2196 (1) the camera can't be turned off. You can only turn off the notices. The camera is still on and registering, and that info may also be tracked and stored.
      (2) I was advised by a lawyer that turning off 'safety' features could be a financial liability in the case of an accident. And, in fact, in the accident that cause me to need a new car (fully caused by the other driver), her insurance asked me if I had any safety features on MY car that could have prevented the accident. Image what would happen if I said yes, but they were turned off. And you don't even have to tell them, if the accident is bad enough and a lawsuit is filed, the info could still be available to the other side because the car companies are tracking and keeping data (or could keep the data)_ per their own literature.
Yeah, so its just not that simple, is it?

It lacks a lot of features, it’s not luxurious inside at all vs others, driving dynamics are more reminiscent of a rav4 than a true luxury car. And interior space is cramped vs even smaller vehicles
The RX doesn’t do anything better than the competition. If you’re going to compete you’ve gotta bring your absolute best. Other brands do a better job at that. And who cares about mpg? It’s a luxury car… get a Prius or Camry hybrid if you want mpg

A better comparison would have been back-to-back RX350 versus RX350h. The RX350h seems to be more expensive as does not appear to be as discounted and louder without that turbo engine. There is also that hybrid mandatory required noise. However, if in market, should drive both (compare noise, transmission, brakes, power) as both are very different.

I test drove the last RX 3 years ago, and all I got was EV smoothness. Could convince anyone who didn't know about cars that it was an EV. My problem with Lexus, in general, is the signs of cost-cutting, which extend to the 7" gauge cluster, and the IP integration, no massaging seats, the dated fonts and images. They're always a generation, or two, behind. If you are gonna marry it for 10 years, that works. If not, it doesn't.

Don't buy 2023 Lexus RaX350h. I am a fan of Lexus and I owned several Lexus models like LS, RX, GX and LX but after I bought the new 2023 Lexus RX350h Luxury package and I am so disappointed of the quality and technology. First, the plastic in all the doors and engine compartment looks cheap and it looks like from recycle material not the high quality plastic. Second, the driver chairs cannot lift high enough for my wife to see the road better. We took it to the dealership to ask them to adjust the chair higher but they said that the highest it can go. My wife is 5'2" so it is hard for her to see the road so the driving with the chair cannot go high really make her driving tired. Third, the dash board can easily pull off with a light finger or the vibration on the road can make the dash board get loose. We took in the dealership and ask them and after trying to fix 2 times, they said they can glue it for us but it's kind of bother me to think the parts didn't fit well. Fourth, all the doors have to close strongly otherwise it won't completely closed and you will see the warning door light that you didn't close the door completely. Sometimes, I forgot that and I have to close the door two times in other to close it. Fifth, if you are on the passenger chair, you will feel the road vibration on your feet, we ask the dealership and they said this space is so close to the front wheel so you can feel the vibration of the wheel on the road. Sixth, the sensor keep tell you to put your hand on the steering wheel even though you already put two hands on it already. Last, the leather quality is bad. it can easily get scratch and you can see the marks on the leather right away. Finally, after driving for 3000 mileages, I decide to sell this 2023 Lexus RX350h because I don't like the quality of Lexus made in Canada.

      - both are two completely different vehicles (BOF vs. Unibody)
      - The I-force Max is a very different hybrid system comparing to the Parallel-series hybrid system seen traditionally with other Toyota and Lexus models.
      - the I-force max may not necessarily increase fuel economy as much like the traditional hybrid (for example, tundra and sequoia I-force max)
      - The RX hybrid is more for comfortable ride with saving gas while the Land Cruiser (technically LC Prado 250 series) is off-road focus with increase power and torque thanks to the performance-oriented hybrid system.

Lexus need to learn from genesis and not share same platforms as their mere Toyota counterparts, my vote goes to Genesis who knows how to engineer and design their own vehicles apart from Hyundai.

@@naveenthemachine I can assure the target demographic who buys Lexus are blinded by the fact its a Toyota, they don't even hide fact that most of the parts are Toyota and not really unique to any Lexus vehicles. And the fact the base models are FWD it's really embarrassing to see. I work at a Toyota dealer but I own nothing Toyota/Lexus branded at all.

Add to that the interior is dated, mediocre materials, useless tech, lacking features, rear seats aren’t spacious, trunks small, it drives like an economy car, rides like one, and it’s overpriced.
