Growing up in Southern California as a kid, we refered to any vacant dirt lot a "sandlot". Played many games of baseball or army in them. Sometimes we would hop on our banana seat bikes in search of undiscovered sandlots. Fun times...

Loved loved this movie growing up. It still gives me that summer feeling.
"Filmed in Utah." Yep. I remember seeing the movie and thinking that the pool scene looked just like a pool/park near where I lived called Lorin Farr Park. Some folks thought I was just crazy. Nope!
one of my favorite childhood movies ever!
“Temperatures could get up to 100 degrees” Me: *laughs in Texan*
As do I, living in Vegas. It's a dry heat sure but 115+ is still hot as a muddah-fuhka
Central California here. We're surrounded by mountains so when it's 105, it's really like, 110-115 degrees.
And Utah was a dry heat. Florida does not know dry heat.
Laughs in Texan 🤣🤣🤣 That's awesome!
Growing up in Southern California as a kid, we refered to any vacant dirt lot a "sandlot". Played many games of baseball or army in them. Sometimes we would hop on our banana seat bikes in search of undiscovered sandlots. Fun times...
I love how minty ends a video by saying "see ya" and falls off his chair. MINTY, how are you doing down on the floor?
Love this baseball movie. Even my kids love it. Haven't watched it for awhile. Now I might get the DVD out and watch it this week. Since its suppose to be baseball season.
I have a suggestion for a film, I really like “The Burbs” I’m rather surprised Minty hasn’t covered the movie yet.
He has
Terrible movie
Skellington Fan I fail to see it, after looking again, in the video list. And a search does not show a result. You must live in an alternative reality, where Minty has covered the 1980’s film. He has mentioned The Burbs in a couple reviews, but hasn’t done an official “10 things you didn’t know”
One of my top 5. I'd love to see a 10 things.
@@thereluctanthipster9714 he did do one cause I watched it. He has deleted alot of his old vids.
My favorite childhood movie! Thanks for reviewing this! :)
omg u are on row all the good ones i mean movie list ur coing true all my childhood only missin one
I hope the TV series becomes real. I grew up watching this. My late father loved watching this with me and my brother.
Funny how the director is wearing a St. Louis cap,
SL, SandLot, get it?
"You play ball like a GIRL!!!"
More baseball, and less dead bodies. LOL!
Friends, genuine friends. I never had friends like that growing up, but stories about them always give me a wonderful, warm feeling.
That’s a great ending to that movie!
I love the sandlot so much!!! It has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. Every time I would stay home sick from school I would pop on The Sand Lot or Grease and begin to feel better. Thank you for doing this video! Since you mentioned Radio Flyer earlier in the video can I make a request for a Radio Flyer video from you? You would do such a great job! I feel like no one knows about Radio Flyer but me and my sister. We used to watch that and North ALL the time! They are both such obscure movies I thought no one remembered them. Thanks Minty for the great content!!!
I’d love this movie, regardless, but it has a special place in my heart, having swum in that very swimming pool. Never will get enough of that “Scab eater!” - “Butt sniffer!” exchange.
This is one of those movies every kid needs too see, I remember my mom buying multiples of this movie because I watched the hell out of that cassette.
I remember seeing this opening day, and the weather here in Utah can be bipolar.
I remember seeing this in theatres with my mom. It's one of those movies I can watch again and again and still enjoy it.
"All characters and events depicted in this film are entirely fictitious. Any similarity to actual events or persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental."
Obviously someone didn't read all of the end credits.... to every fictional movie ever made.
Omg Minty--that Save Ferris button! Needed that laugh. Thank you!
Loved this movie and still do, they don't make them like this anymore 😁😎 P.S. minty WHERE DID YOU GET THAT MARS ATTACKS MASK, IT IS AWESOME!?
I absolutely ADORE that film. It is a true masterpiece, and I strongly suggest if you folks haven't seen it ..you owe it to yourself to give it a look. There were sequels too , which were not as good as the original but were still good in their own rite .
Hey Minty. You gotta do the "the Big Green." One of my favorite soccer (football) movies from my childhood. I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
Has he done little giants yet? That has to come before big green.
You rock Minty! I love your vids. Keep up the good work.
