JC, I’ve been thinking about you and Suzanne lately. I hope you two and everyone else in the family are holding up okay. I know you also lost your mother about two years ago and I feel for you. I lost mine to breast cancer when I was 24. She was my best friend. You have such a beautiful family and I really hope they all have a wonderful 🎄 Christmas. Love you guys!
Thanks so much for the kind words and support! It is greatly appreciated. We have had a string of bad luck in losing loved ones. Little Sally is still deeply missed, now Frank and just prior to that, was the tragic loss of my amazing little female Shiba, "Mika." I can't even put into words how much that little dog is missed. I hope you have a fantastic Christmas, and you get to spend it with family and friends.
You are a legend dude. I recently sourced an Umarex 1911 Colt Classic, and didn't see any way to field strip. This is NOT Umarex's typical A1 variant, so it was a nightmare to even begin to find info on this gun. Your video cleared it up, even though it's not KWC based! Thanks!
Merry Christmas to you buddy .. happy happy happy holidays to you and family and Best wishes , lost of shooting..... Greetings from Hemet, Idywild and beutiful coachella valle.. Thank you for your videos
Joe, Merry Christmas to you as well. I like Coachella Valley. I owned a home in PS for years and my mother-in-law still resides in Palm Desert. Have a fantastic Christmas!
All the best from across the pond JC, wishing you and your family an amazing Christmas and a happy new year and brilliant video as always, take care 🇺🇲🇬🇧
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year JC and your family. Airgun Detectives. Series 1911 started and finished beautifully, excellent video and work as they always are. Peanut this is very charming in the intro . I didn't see Nitro. I hope he's okay. Happy holidays for all.
Merry Christmas my friend. Nitro is still good! He turns "15" on December 24th (Today). He is slowing down, but he is cute as ever! My best to you and your entire family!
And a very merry Christmas to you and yours Mr. Detective, thanks for all your work providing some excellent content throughout the year. looking forwards to more good stuff next year.👍👍👍👍👍
@@AirgunDetectives I was gifted a Springfield Mil Spec, definitely doing the "grip upgrade" using wood military WW1 style A1 grips... Thanks for the tutorial. The Springfield grips look nice but they feel like cheap plastic and really take away from the excellent fit, finish and look of an excellent replica, and depending how it goes and how well I do, I may do some more grips for my other pistols. (Nagant, Webley MK VI and Colt SAA) .
Jose, Thank you so much for the kind comments. I hope you and yours have a fantastic Christmas and even a better New Year. I really appreciate you tuning in. Take care brother!
So many 1911 choices. I was sure I wanted a Barra 1911, but now I can't decide. After watching many of your videos I trust your opinion. I would love to buy 20 or more 1911's, but I just need to pick one, for now. Should I start with the Barra? Or in your opinion, is there a better choice. Thanks for all the great videos you make. They really are the best.
Happy holidays to you and your family and friends JC. @13:30 it shows how thin the paint job is on these KWC airguns. I wish that they used the same kind of paint as on the real guns instead.
The only benefit, if you want to strip it and polish it, there is not too much paint resistance. Also, we can't expect too much from a $100 gun. These are a lot of fun to customize. I hope you have a fantastic Christmas and I really appreciate you watching!
Totally didn't do that on purpose lol, happens to the best hehe, i actually had a question, is there any way to up the recoil of these? I'm pretty good with these, but i mostly work with my real firearms but i was wondering if i can get a little more of at least a kick to it to feel a bit more authentic, awesome video by the way very respectful to the hardware and safety!
Actually, what you see is pretty much it. They are designed with lighter weight alloy metal to provide that blowback. Unfortunately, the valving can't be adjusted. Co2 pressure does fluctuate with ambient temperatures, so shooting on warmer days will give you a crisp, more significant blowback. Happy Shooting 👍🏻
i have an asg sti duty one and i implemented a similar process to ise custom claret grips. i aksi laint black the ugly writings. And put glowing dots ontoall my pitols' sights. And i lower fore sights by polishing to zero my pistols. But yours are gunsmithing.
Great video but you don't need to measure anything for marking the grips out for the rebate removal, if you take the magazine out and both grip panels off you can mark each one through the frame if you fit them one at a time buddy PLUS you get the angle of the top line correct too. I've done a fair bit of custom work to KWC 1911s, everything from a full sand down to bare metal and a polish right to complete respray jobs (and I use Krylon too, it's great stuff) with matching compensators, hammer changes and real Colt rubber grips. You can't beat a KWC 1911 for shooting, modifying and customisation, they're a very popular gun with CO2 replica shooters and collectors. Have a great Christmas buddy and all the best for 2023 🎅
Merry Christmas JC. As of said recently, new subscriber. In fact I created an account just to subscribe to your channel. Will a 1911 compensator fit to one of these CO2 1911s? Im looking to recreate the look of the Punisher’s twins.
Jason, thank you for tuning in and I appreciate you subscribing to the channel. The Swiss ARMS KWC version of the 1911 have threaded barrels which you can adapt a mock suppressor, here is a link amzn.to/3Vl1oNd I hope you have a fantastic Christmas and hope to see your comments on future videos.
Are the rear sights removable on the Swiss arms 1911? I’ve done a lot of what you’ve shown here on the one I got. Mine is a Remington one, but they’re identical I think? Would love to add a low profile red dot on to it. How easy is it to add a base plate if they are? Also, I see you have an extended mag on one of them. Do they still do them and will one fit on the Swiss arms/Remington? I’m in the UK, so it’s a little harder to come by attachments for 1.77 guns. Any info is greatly appreciated.
Yes, technically, they would fit. However, not sure why you would want them on a real 1911. There is so many choices out there for authentic grips. Thanks for tuning in and have a great Christmas!
