Very informative video Thanks for sharing all the info. I'm Planning to visit in first week of september and you've answered almost all the question i had! Keep up the good work brother :)
Subscribed.. Plz ans my few questions.. 1.Best time to visit Leh Ladakh? No Rain ,No snow fall. Which Month? 2. I am from south india! Can we take our bike to the trip? 3. 125-200 CC bikes are ok? 4. Now these days no COVID in India, so is the test and report is needed?
Hey, thanks for subscribing. 🤝 1. Now would be a good time to visit Ladakh. More specifically between now and September. You can never be too sure of rain and snowfall, but I believe these months are your best chance of avoiding them. 2. Yes, you can absolutely take your bike to Ladakh. 3. I have seen people on Bajaj Vikrant which is 150cc. Having said that, I still think you will be better off with at least a 220cc bike. 4. No, you do not need any Covid19-related reports to travel to Ladakh. Hope this help. 😀
Yes, there are both HRTC (regular) buses and HPTDC (volvo) buses running on this route. Given the level of convenience and budget you can choose accordingly. For HRTC Bookings: online.hrtchp.com/oprs-web/ For HPTDC Bookings: www.booking.hptdc.in/ Hope the information helps and that you have already subscribed to the channel! 😁🤘🏼
Most taxis are SUVs in Ladakh. There are Altos and Swifts also, however they are good only for short distances. For longer routes only SUVs go. You can fit Driver + 6 in most cars.
Hey, personally I would not recommend that you travel with a kid below 5 years of age to Ladakh. However, if you do choose to visit, make sure to consult your child's paediatrician beforehand for all the precautions.
Yes, you can take your own vehicle on the Shimla Manali Highway. However, you should follow the news for snowfall around your dates to make sure you don't get stuck. And you do not need Inner Line Permit to visit Shimla or Manali. And even when it comes to Ladakh, you do not need the permit for Nubra Valley, Pangong, Tso Moriri and the like. 🙂
@@Defcom1 Since September 2021 you do not need ILP anymore to travel the various places in Ladakh. All you need to pay is Rs. 400 per person as environmental fees and an optional red cross fee of Rs. 50. Other than that you do not need anything. Hope this helps. 🙂
Yes, bro. You can visit Ladakh on a bike rented from Manali. However, this would generally vary from vendor to vendor. So, check with your vendor if that is possible. Also, do check if they need you to return the bike back in Manali or you can drop off at Ladakh. 🤝
Yes, /Manali & Leh, dono jagah main aapko bike mill jayegi bike rent pr. However snowfall start ho gaya ho to shayad kaafi roads blocked honge. Manali Leh highway bike se krna possible na ho.
Hey, both the passes are open in April. So, you should be able to take your bike. Though, do note that if it snows around that time, then it maybe temporarily closed until Border Roads Organisation clears the road.
Hey Shiva, so the bikes (or taxis) rented from Manali can only be taken in Ladakh to Leh, Tso Kar and Tso Moriri and nowhere else. This is really is down to the unions in both the place, so one can't really do much about it. As for your options: 1) Take your own bike. There are no restrictions with that. 2) You can rent a bike/taxi from Manali to Leh, and then rent another in Leh. But do note this will cost you a lot. 3) You can take a bus to go from Manali to Leh. 💥💥Here..Can we rent a bike from other states specially from Manali HP and visit Leh & Ladakh? I heard there's some dispute going on that you can not visit Leh with the rented bikes from other states. Please help we're planning in May only.
Hey, that problem is sorted now. You can take a bike from Manali and visit Leh. However, do note that for areas under Inner Line Permit you will have to rent a bike from Leh. Hope this helps. 🤝
Divyanshu, it can vary quite a bit depending on the level of convenience you are seeking and your budget. I would recommend that you reach out to the tour operator that we suggested. They should be able to help you out!

You can find a lot of shops offering bikes on rent on Mall Road in Manali. Nonetheless, you could start with Hadimba Bike Tours if you need an idea. Hope this helps! 😀
Im getting confused, most of the videos im seeing are saying after a certain point i cant take the rented bike, they say i got to hire a taxi or get my own bike... so the bike rented there can be travelled to which places?
Hey Joel, so this is how it works. If you rent anything from outside Leh, like say Manali, then in that case you are not allowed to visit any place other than Tso Moriri and Tso Kar. However, if you were to rent from Leh, there is no such restriction. Also, if you have your own vehicle, there are no such restrictions. And taxi rentals work similar to the bike rentals in that regard. Hope this helps.
Hi is rohtang permit required if i travel from atal tunnel. Also do i need leh e pass at border. What are the permit required to enter apart form negative report
Hey, no you do not need a permit if you are travelling through Atal Tunnel. As for entry into Ladakh, you need an RTPCR report not more than 96 hours old. And a Rapid Test will be conducted on your entry in Leh. Other then that you do not need any permits for entry into Leh. @@XploreTheEarth thanks a lot. Please also can you answer the below: 1. Where to do RTPCR test. I plan to arrive from delhi - manali- leh. It usually take 5 days or more. delhi to manali 2 days, manali stay 1 day, manali to leh 2 days. If i get my report on delhi first day depart also, it would be invalid by the time i reach leh. So should i do rtpcr at manali again. 2. Also Himachal reintroduced epass and negative test report. While coming back from leh to manali will i have to show negative report and generate epass again for entering himachal.

Yes, a non-Indian can rent a bike. You'll have to provide some equivalent driving license to some vendors and they will take one of your IDs as a deposit against the bike.
Usually there is very little policing after you have left Manali. There is no-one on the highway to stop you! Even in Manali or in Leh you may not have a big problem with this.
