      Agreed. Facebook's 720p resolution felt disgusting if you've been used to 1440p, or even 4k resolution, lately. Not to mention the distracting emojis that litter the bottom of the Facebook live videos.
      Please let UA-cam stream CrossFit Games next year

    I gotta admit when I first heard about CrossFit about 6 years ago I really didn’t like it, I was more into bodybuilding. And thought it was a joke because of the internet memes. But the more I learn from the sport and the athletes the more I felt in love with it. Just like any other sport CrossFit is a lifestyle, to be a better version of yourself everyday in every single posible way.

      Adbel Rivera I was the exact same way bro! I just started CrossFit at 44 years old after 25 years of bodybuilding. I love it!

      Very well articulated comment (captured my thoughts on it as well). I was like you until I really understood it (the community aspect and the lifestyle aspect). Now I'm hooked on it - and especially watching the games. It's fun to take in and see what they can do.

      I love Crossfit, I love the concept of it. It is amazing! What I don't like about Crossfit is it needs to clean its act up!! The Tour De France has a terrible reputation with drugs, the Olympics also does. Both the cycling body and the IOC don't do nearly enough testing. Crossfit is in its infancy and as I love the sport, I would hate for it to be tainted like cycling has (Lance Armstrong). I personally feel drug use is rife in the Crossfit games. Please sort it out, if you do, this sport will be monolithic!!

    • @adbelrivera9072
      @adbelrivera9072 5 років тому +9

      TheDave000 if that’s your opinion I respect it, but “we” need to understand that one thing is doing a sport, any sport as a professional and giving your all to it, vs doing it as a hobby to get all of the benefits you can get from it. Because if that’s the argument then every sport takes something from you. Look at Boxin, how many boxers suffer from brain and cognitive problems for getting hit in the head. Look at bodybuilding how many of them suffer from liver, kidney and heart problems. Look at basketball how many athletes retire because they suffer an injury. UFC, baseball, surfing etc... every sport has its risks doing it has a professional or as a hobby. If your referring to the porcentaje of risk of any sport then all of them are different but the risk still exists. So because of the risks do people stop doing sports??? No! We just do it the safest way that we know and can, to get all of the benefits from it. Because doing something is better than doing nothing because your afraid of the risks.

    Top games this year and some cool new events.
    Please get the Games off Facebook as a streaming provider and back onto UA-cam, Facebook's platform doesn't seem mature or established enough so it made it hard to watch and stream
    Thanks to all that made it happen and my great admiration to all that had the grit to compete.

    • @1themattymoose
      @1themattymoose 5 років тому +1

      Hugo Holland the website worked, but on mobile it wasn't particularly good. Casting to TV wasn't available. This is what I meant by Facebook not being a mature platform. Switching between devices would mean you lost your place and starting an event from the beginning wasn't possible on the FB stream. When it was on UA-cam all of these things were available and that was two years ago.

    Their choices are seen as extreme. Their abilities as exceeding nature. Yet their lives are characterised by near constant disappointment. And effort to build a foundation for later success. To be worthy representatives of us all, they must know defeat and humble themselves to its teachings. Continuously they test, and test, and test again.
    For in the testing lies the answer to the question. How will you be better tomorrow? Only those who repeatedly ask and accept the answer, who continue to recognise miss steps as opportunity will realize their true potential. Fear and ego will stop many as they mistake failure for weakness. It is through their efforts that we come to understand how our own limitations are contrived. That we come to understand what’s possible. That we come to understand what we can choose to be. Better.
    For winning is not defined by medals but actions. By perseverance. By character. By effort. It does not mean you are unbeatable. But rather, that you have been beaten and continue to rise.

    Hope the other guys really hammer the training next year, because it really does take the suspense out seeing one guy dominate. The ladies competition is going to be on fire next year with 4 with a good shot at winning in Davisdottir, Toomey, Hovarth, Saunders and 3 or 4 others with an outside shot (Sigmunsdottir, Thorisdottir, Greene... Bazinet...).

    • @arttagboy
      @arttagboy 5 років тому +1

      clubinsky33 I think you’re spot on with Fraser 4peating. Personally I think the only way Davidsdottir gets that 3rd crown is if TCT fucks up big time, or she finds a new coach. Bergeron is good but it seems like he isn’t attacking her weak points the same way Fraser does, and she’s not so strong she can just put up huge numbers to win. What do you think Sigmundsdóttir will do, in the sense of is she gonna come back with that killing intent finally or is just gonna coast the rest of her career? I hope this injury doesn’t destroy her mentally

    MAKE MORE VIDEOS LIKE THIS…. I used to watch this everyday before my class to get motivated…. I was expecting there to be a follow up every year after the games ….but this this seems to have been a one-off…. But it’s REALLY good …. You should take this concept and create an inspirational/motivational video after every games….kinda like an ´after-video’ to a music festival…. I think it’ll play well with ur audience…. Hope to see one soon….

    Literally building a sport in this generation can be one of the toughest things ever. But Dave Castro is taking Crossfit to new levels every year. I just wish this sport ends up being of the most viewed sports all over the world. These athletes are on a different league. Guys that deadlift 600lbs are extremely bulky but then look at them. Rowing for 3 hours. Gymnastics, weightlifting, army drills, swimming, running- you name it, they have it under their forte. This year was amazing.

    nice that the narrator is expressing the sacrifices of the real warriors who serve our country. Although crossfitters are magnificient athletes, this is over the top exxageration on what crossfit is. Crossfit is definitely about yourself, even crossfit teams its the drive and ambition of ones self to win. Just to humble you Crossfit advocates and not let you get too big of an ego. Gorified athletes are what you are!

      Agreed. She is also very marketable as well. She is bloody gorgeous! sponsers will snap her up. I only have 1 criticism . . . . . She doesnt need those powerful legs! I want to change my chicken legs for hers! Can we swap!? :-D
