Yes Lawyers have to pay Income Tax as well. Article 14 of the Constitution of India guarantees equality before law to all persons including non-citizens. Therefore, every person regardless of his profession or business is liable to pay Income Tax on the income earned.
But they are exempted from GST and other service tax. Practicing lawer in a firm whoes income totally depend upon there profession and are salaried are exempted of taxes as there salary already suffers a tax from source. And tax in dependent on income they earn. The more they earn, more is the out go.

सर मेरा आपसे एक सवाल है मेरा उनसे सवाल है जिन्होंने कानून बनाए हैं महिलाओं की सुरक्षा के लिए सर जब एक महिला ससुराल द्वारा प्रताड़ित की जाती है महिला को शारीरिक मानसिक आर्थिक प्रताड़ना दी जाती है महिला ससुराल द्वारा निकाल दी जाती है महिला को न्याय पाने के लिए कोर्ट जाना पड़ता है पीड़ित महिला जो ससुराल द्वारा बाहर निकाल दी गई है उसको जो उसके माता-पिता से सामान मिलता है वह भी वहां रह गया है और माता-पिता की कंडीशन खराब हो गई हो ऐसे में वह कोर्ट तक न्याय पाने के लिए कैसे जाएगी जिसके पास खुद के भरण-पोषण के लिए पैसे ना हो क्योंकि सर कोर्ट तक आने जाने में बहुत पैसे खर्च होते हैं क्या वह पीड़ित महिला बिना न्याय के रह जाए या गरीब महिलाओं को न्याय का अधिकार नहीं है अगर कोई महिला कोर्ट चली भी जाती है न्याय पाने के लिए अपने अधिकार पाने के लिए तो उनका कोई समय नहीं है केस को 1 से 10 साल तक लग जाते हैं और कोई सहायता नहीं मिलती है गुजारा भत्ता महिलाओं के लिए बनाया गया है लेकिन उसका फायदा महिलाओं को नहीं मिलता उससे ज्यादा उनके पैसे खर्च हो जाते हैं इतने समय के बाद भरण पोषण मिले या ना भी मिले कोई जरूरी नहीं है ससुराल से निकाली गई महिला इतने समय तक अपना भरण-पोषण कैसे करें या उसको आत्महत्या कर लेनी चाहिए सर मैं आपसे हाथ जोड़कर क्षमा मांगती हूं अगर मैंने कोई शब्द गलत लिख दिए हैं उसके लिए मुझे क्षमा कीजिएगा सर मैं अपने सवालों के जवाब चाहती हूं कृपया करके मेरी मदद करें🙏🙏😭🙏🙏😭🙏🙏

Our Law provides for range of punishment like agar ek crime kiya hai toh 2 saal se lekar 10 saal tak, based on how serious the offence is. Lawyers Job is to tell the court ki uske Client ne itna serious offence nahi kiya hai.
Aur Advocate Act mein ye diya hai ki hum kisi bhi client ki case ko mana nahi kar sakte. Jo ayga humare dwaar uski madat karni hi padegi.

First of all there are advocates who cam get your case in few cents... Go to them but you will have higher one... They are charging fees for their talent.
2nd About the cases of criminals... First of all no one is criminal before judgement and they fought for them before judgement. Also when a person is made criminal in minds of people through media etc. It is their practice for fight for such... Many of these cases the people asked supreme court to such people as their lawyer and in turn supreme court ask them(not order them) to fight for that person. But it is taken as order by lawers. So they fight for these.
At last India deals on motto that 100 criminals may remain unpunished but not a single innocent should be punished.
And yes layers are lawyers at last. You cant expect everyone to work free for everyone... Soil is cheap but not gold... Rare things are costly, if you cannot afford then you have no right to say about their profession
